A TRIBUTE

He was standing on the floor
pondering in mind
how to knock the door,
Thinking to tell them, about their loss, he stood behind.

Wondering how they will react
he hit the gate,
"this is the truth, this is the fact"
Waiting nervously, prepared himself
for the news to narrate.

Stepping inside, began to speak
"He gave his life for this country
A brave soldier, strong and unique."

Pride of all, star of the eyes
fought for us with devotion,
And died to make us survive.

O Hero! your sacrifice is not in vain
we bow on our knees down,
praying for peace,
In our hearts you remain.

He is one of us, the unforgotten veteran
the one who never fades,
the only tribute, I can give is this poem,
Salute to you with endless parades.

Finger Tips :)

There once started quarrel among fingers of a hand,
together they bragged,"who is superior one to stand?"

"I come first on greeting people",said the Little one,
you all can scoff, tease and make my fun.
I am the Number 1
Laughing at him, the Ring finger appeared with pride,
"people crown me with jewels, I unite groom and bride".
I am the Number 1
Ha Ha Ha, you are nothing in front of me, screamed the Index finger,
"I direct, teach, point, preach and the only wonder
I am the Number 1
"You all are like guards around me, yelled the Middle one,
"I am the emperor, tallest in the center
I am the Number 1

Lastly the Thumb said politely,
"Indeed, you are all so good and important,
no doubt, I am the one for writing,lifting, so vibrant !

Of course ! I am useful but nothing without you,
alone the man is worthless, neither one or two
It's not I, YOU, HE or SHE
United the man when it makes "WE"

Together we live, Together we stand

P.S Moral story not for kids but for Grown-ups !
Goodness without arrogance and pride is Good.
Let's we all stay Good happy :)
