he comes home
i can already feel the tension
he smells of alcohol
but i figure that i should not mention
i wonder what it's gonna be
that i did wrong tonight
maybe i'll mess up and get in his way
or maybe i'll say something that just isn't right
but tonight is one of those nights
that u don't know what u did wrong
therefor there will be no defending myself
i know forsure this night will be one that is very long
first he starts to yell
for what reason i do not know
his voice is almost unfamiliar
never smooth like an angry crow
he raises his voice even louder
as if it's a threat
he starts pushin me around
not making his point only making me regret
now i've made a mistake
i've started to retaliate
what the hell was i thinking
in front of my face he was dangling that bait
but nolonger could i resist
the smell itself was oh so very tempting
i knew that it would
have to come sooner or later
he has made everyone fear him and back down
but not this girl u can not make her
now he realizes that
there is no more he can say
all i can do now is wait
for it to end soon is what i pray
he clenches his fist
pulls back his arm
i look into his brown eyes
but there is no spark, no light, no charm
here it comes i brace myself
for he plays the role of victim and killer
finally his fist clashes with my face
i hit the floor even death could not lay stiller
i stood up brushed my hand against my face
glanced to the floor to find blood dripping down
he grabbed my arm i tried pulling away
he just laughed as my hoped drown
the more i resisted the harder
his fists hit my body
slowly i start to fade away
now everything has become cloudy
he finally has had enough with me
he feels that his duties are done
i don't move a muscle
all i can do is lay there stunned
after a while i feel nothing
but inside i start to laugh
i realize this is all very amuzing
he told me he loved me and made me laugh
that he'd never leave me heart broken
and to my heart he held the key
he doesn't realize it but he did more than beat me
now finally he has set me free
