Something paining, something growing,

My world went upside down,
How could this be,
What could have happened to me,
I can’t have cancer nor tumour.
I’m too young to die I thought.

Before I asked any questions my tears ran down into my mouth,
The nurse gave me the news.
CONGRATULATIONS he said - you’re having a BABY!
I froze and sat still and thought to myself what, how and when did all this happen?

Now, how to break the news to my husband.

I left shaking like a leaf on a windy day.
Got on a bus with my warm tears falling like the warm -
Waterfalls on a warm sunny day.

Next stop - my stop!
I took deeps breaths in and turned the key to the front door.
Walked up the dark stairway,
Leading me to my room,
Opened my door - entering silently in tears.

I looked at myself in the mirror,
And thought what ever is happening maybe it’s the best thing for me after what’s been happening in my world.
I can feel it expanding and growing and I am in pain right now,
I can feel that I am going to have a baby boy.
Part of me is still in a shock but I can feel that I would be very happy to have my prince in this world.

I am sitting on my bed and writing this poem and I feel exhausted,
My eyes are tired and red.
I feel light headed,
I feel hungry - nothing is there that I fancy!
My stomach going upside down apart from that I am writing this poem and imaging my prince,
And the day he is in my arms
The day he smiles at me,
The day he calls me ‘MA’ and etc,
As every mothers dreams is to see their child be part of them,
And that’s all I want from my prince, him in my world and him being happy and succeeding in his life.
From this day forward my eternal love is with him and I bless him with all my heart and soul.

Very happy to have him in my life.
My prince I welcome you to this world,
Always remember I love you with all my heart.

I am your mother who has no idea about babies,
But I’m sure we will get along fine.
