The Stars

The sun sets somewhere
I sit alone on the beach
watch the lights disappear
with the people returning
the sounds are also gone

Nothing to distract the mind
No thoughts no disturbances
clear of the events left behind
in the tranquility of nothingness
Feel the touch of the creator

I see in the unknown infinity
millions of souls like mine
burning for near eternity
deceptively romantic looks
in the beautiful dark sky
