The day is hot displaying its full strength,
Legs cramped, body sweating, trying to adapt to the situation best.
Hunger and thirst going hand in hand,
Praying religiously we safely reach our homeland.
People from various spheres of life,
struggling together with their might.
soft cozy bed seems a distant dream,
The available facilities making us ill-at-ease.

Destination at a stone throwing distance,
Intermediate stations giving stiff resistance.
The prolonged journey does not seem to end,
Waiting impatiently for the ultimate gain.

The journey ends amidst lots of speculation,
Hoping for an eventful Puja celebration.
Going back to work will be an uphill task,
Being a bread earner we are bound to play this part.
This two day travel gives us a lesson of life ,
We have to successful amidst struggle and strife.
