Shopping For Affordable Children's Clothes
Most families live on very strict budgets and because of this must learn to make sacrifices and live frugally. However, children grow really quickly and need new clothes quite frequently despite their parents income.
Therefore, buying clothes from a local retailer at full price is just not an option for many families. Yet, there is no reason why families have to dress their kids in hand me downs. The following tips will help parents learn to shop effectively for attractive clothes at rock bottom price
Sales The best way to shop for children's clothes is to shop when the clothes go on sale. This may seem quite obvious, but there are ways to save even more money when clothes are on sale. Many times stores offer sales and then additional discounts for seniors or for certain days or times of the week.
Find out when the additional discounts are offered and shop during these times. Doing so could save you an extra 10 to 20 percent, and when you are on a tight budget every dollar help
Look for the end of the season sales, too, and you will find clothes on sale for up to 75 percent off. That is a huge savings for families and a great opportunity to stock up on clothes for all the children at an amazing saving
Shop Ahead Another tip for buying affordable kids clothes is to shop ahead. This goes along with the shopping sales suggestion, but takes it a step further. Many times parents will find clothes on sale at great prices, but they are the wrong size.
Take advantage of the sale, anyway, and go ahead and buy clothes for the next year. You will save a great deal of money and have clothes for the kids when the next year or even two rolls around. Shopping ahead is a money saving tip many budget minded families use.
Gently Used Many parents do not like the idea of buying used clothing, but it is a great way to save a lot of money. Not to mention, kids outgrow their clothes so quickly that most used clothing is in excellent condition. There are many auction sites where members list lots of children's clothing for sale in different sizes.
In addition, many community websites have free classifieds where families list their children's clothing for sale, too. This is great for the families selling the clothes and an amazing bargain for those buying them. Do not forget to check out consignment shops for kids clothes, too, because many times there are new or near new clothes at very affordable price
Buy One Get One Deals Many stores, especially shoe stores, periodically offer buy one get one free deals. As a parent on a budget look out for these deals or even call the different stores to find out when this deal will be offered. It will help you schedule your shopping to get the most for your money and this is definitely worth doing.
Of course, there are many ways to find a good deal and each individual may have some tried and true methods that really work for them. The tips listed here are just a few ways to find a good deal for children's clothing, but it works for other items the family needs, too.
Those looking for savings in their monthly budget should implement these tips and they will certainly see savings because of it.

Skincare: Prevention for the Ages
It's never too late to get serious about skincare. However, skin care needs change as we age. Therefore, if you want to fight the effects of aging, it's imperative to change your skin-care regimen through the aging proces
In our 20s and early-30s, skin is firm and glowing, thanks to an abundance of collagen and elastin. However, many don't realize what they had until it's gone. Appreciate your youthful skin and pledge to care for it by sticking to a solid care routine, choosing products that prevent wrinkles, and applying sunscreen religiously on a daily basis.
One of the biggest skin care mistakes younger women often make is not using sunscreen as part of the daily routine. It's also important to use appropriate sunscreen, with ingredients that protect from UVA short and long rays and UVB rays. Women in their 20s should choose a sunscreen with an SPF 15 or greater and one that includes UVA/UVB protection with titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, or avobenzone. Wearing sunglasses can also be hugely helpful in preventing aging of the sensitive undereye skin. Women should choose sunglasses that provide at least 98 percent protection from both UVA and UVB ray
Adult acne can also be troublesome during this time. Again, one of the biggest mistakes young women often make is going to be bed with their makeup still on. Habits like these can add years to the skin down the road. Make sure to always remove makeup at the end of the day before bedtime. Use products that kill bacteria, and exfoliate and unclog pores without over-drying. Cleanse and moisturize on a daily basis and exfoliate twice a week to promote cell renewal.
For those in their 30s, topical retinoids derived from vitamin A can minimize appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Sleep deprivation, drinking and smoking can also be skin robbers. Exercise is also a great way to beat stress and give a boost to your youthful appearance.
Around 40, the aging process begins to take hold. Thanks to the laws of nature - gravity, genetics and sun damage - women become more aware of the effects of aging. Fine lines, pigment discoloration, age spots, and loss of elasticity are just a few of the culprits of the aging process. Issues such as rosacea, blotchiness, and adult acne can also set in. For women in their 40s, now is the time to invest in topical creams that target aging with glycolic acid, retinol and Vitamins A and E. These nutrients have shows to subtly improve the skin's condition and tone with regular use.
In our younger years, we soaked up the rays at the beach, the ballpark and in our own backyards. For those sunbathing in the 1970s and '80s, many of us used baby oil and reflectors to really take advantage of the rays. Unknowingly, we took advantage of our skin's health and vitality. More and more women in their 40s are turning to a combination of medical treatments and cosmeceuticals to use at home. Microdermabrasion, photofacials, and chemical peels help to induce collagen production. Increasing the production of collagen helps achieve the fresh-faced look all women desire. Products such as Obagi C-Clarifying Serum penetrate deep beneath the skin's surface, helping to correct damage in all layers of the skin. Injectables have also become an easy option for women seeking a little instant gratification. Botox, Restylane, Radiesse, and Juvederm all work to smooth away lines and plump up skin.
At 50, the skin is considered mature. Biological and hormonal changes can lead to adult acne and new hair where that was none before. Crow's feet may become more visible and the skin above the eyes and around the throat and cheeks start to become limp.
To battle those pesky problems, some women turn to AFT, or Advanced Flourescence Technology, the latest development in pulsed light technology. The higher concentration of AFT wavelengths target only affected areas and minimize the risk of injury to the surrounding tissue. Vitamin C is also a powerful fighter in the aging process. The vitamin penetrates beneath the epidermal layer and builds and plumps up collagen. It can also be effective in clearing up adult acne.
The 50s are also a time when it's important to stop using pore-clogging make-up. As aging proceeds, the pigment in the skin ages too, which means dense foundations and powders can actually make the face of a woman in her 50s appear ashy and dull. Swap out old blush, powders and shadows with mineral essential-based product
If Diane Keaton, Sophia Loren, and Susan Sarandon can look marvelous in their 60s, surely there's hope for the rest of us. Women in their 60s want to look at their best, even as decreased hydration, sagging skin, and lower estrogen levels become the adversarie
By this stage of the game, simply being informed on good skin care isn't enough. It's time to use a collagen-inducing product that also produces elastin - an effective fighter of those annoying crow's feet. Choose moisturizers that pack soy, green tea, retinol, and alpha hydroxyl acids. Use sunscreen with nothing less than 30 SPF daily, and seek treatments and products that encourage collagen and elastin stimulation.
When it comes to makeup, less is more for a woman in her 60s. Cosmetics should not be used as something to hide behind, rather makeup and skin care should be used to enhance and accent mature beauty. Choose cosmetics that contain nourishing ingredients such as aloe, emollients, Vitamin E and natural minerals, which aide in improving the health and texture of skin.

Are You Spending More Money Than You Have?
One of the worst things that you can do is live beyond your means, but millions of people a year in the United States do it every day. There are a lot of ways to learn to control your spending, but if you are already in the habit of using credit cards for everything, it is going to be a little bit harder to get control of your finances than you might think. Old habits are hard to break and you really need to have a good solid foundation of common sense when it comes to your finances and dealing with cash before you start dealing with credit.
Start with a checking and savings account at the local bank of your choosing. There are lots of different banks to choose from and each one has different features that may appeal to you. If you already have a checking and savings account, do some research and see if you can find better service elsewhere. It never hurts to try and find a better bank.
One of the hardest things to do to get control of your finances is to stop using your credit cards for everything. You must learn to deal only with the money that you already have in your possession before you start dealing with credit. You should never find yourself in a position where you need your credit cards to get by every month. If your income cannot sustain you, you must cut some expenses where possible. This can be done many different way
One of the most important things you can learn to do is cook things from scratch. Avoid buying pre-processed foods as much as possible in the grocery store. Ounce for ounce, these are the most expensive items in the grocery store and most of them contain next to no nutritional value compared to the same meal cooked from scratch. Not everyone has time to cook meals from scratch these days, but it will save you money in the end by having a pantry stocked with the basic necessities. Potatoes, noodles, and rice can make almost any meal go further and they are relatively cheap staples for any kitchen to have on hand.
Cutting back on utilities is also a good idea. Use the air conditioning and heating system in your home as little as possible to keep your bill down every month. Electricity is easy to conserve just keep the lights off as much as you can.

Six Benefits Of Reverse Mortgages
Are you over 62 years, looking for a little extra money and own most if not all of your home? If the answer is yes, then a reverse mortgage may be exactly what you're looking for. Here are some of the benefits a reverse mortgage can offer you
#1 Reverse mortgages pay you. Instead of making payments to a lender, the lender makes payments to you. Of course as payments are made, your equity in your home decreases. It is, however, a great option if you don't plan on leaving your home to family members after you're gone.
#2 You can use the money you receive any way you choose. For example, it can be used to put your children or grandchildren through college, to buy groceries, to pay for healthcare, to buy a new car or to go on that dream vacation you've been putting off for 30 years.
#3 You can receive your money in a variety of ways
* Lump sum
* Fixed monthly payments either for a set term or for as long as you live in the home
* A line of credit
* A combination of the above.
#4 A reverse mortgage isn't limited to single family homes. In fact, unless you own a manufactured home built before 1976 or an apartment in cooperative housing, your home likely qualifie
#5 Your benefits, Social Security or Medicare are not affected by a reverse mortgage. However, if you are on Medicaid, any reverse mortgage proceeds must be used immediately to continue to qualify for Medicaid.
#6 No more monthly payments. You can use a reverse mortgage to pay off any existing debts. And your reverse mortgage loan is repaid when you no longer live in your home as a principal residence. The amount owed can never exceed the value of your home. Even better, if your home is sold and the proceeds exceed the amount you owe on your reverse mortgage, you or your estate receives the profits.
While a reverse mortgage is generally an excellent idea for many, there are a few drawbacks. Service fees and closing costs can make a reverse mortgage an expensive option, particularly if you're planning on selling the home in a few years. If you're not planning on living in the house a long time you may want to consider a home equity loan, because they're much less expensive and you can still take the dream vacation you're looking for.

A Guide To Buying Affiliate Tracking Software
Plenty of business owners use affiliates to increase their sales and profits. Affiliation can benefit both the business and the affiliates themselves. Owning an online business is a great reason for using affiliates, since they can bring in sales and revenue and you just pay them a commission for doing so. If you sell a product or a service and you think an affiliate program might be a good idea, you might want to consider purchasing some tracking software.
Affiliate tracking software is necessary if you are going to successfully run an affiliate program. If you don't have it, you won't know whether your sales came directly from your website or from one of your affiliates. If it was an affiliate bringing your customer to your website, which one was it? You can imagine the headache this would bring, especially when you get busy and sell a lot of products! Using tracking software means it is easy to know exactly what is going on. If you don't already have this software, you should look into it immediately.
You need to familiarize yourself, first of all, with the different types of affiliate tracking software on offer. You can do this with a simple internet search. Your search results will probably bring up several different options. It might seem easier to just buy the first affiliate tracking software program you see but this isn't a good idea. These programs are quite different from one another and you want to make sure you buy the best one for you, since having to buy another one after a few months is going to be pointless! Different programs have different features and services. You need to examine each of them in detail before deciding which to go for.
If you don't know much about affiliate marketing or tracking software, you might not know exactly what to look for. If this sounds like you, it might be simpler to understand what you should watch out for. You should check the software seller's same and the name of the software itself. There are a few software scams on the internet so before making your purchase, you should do another internet search on the affiliate tracking software program or on the individual selling it. If you find any online warnings, try a different software instead. Don't rush into buying anything without researching it a bit first.
You also need to watch out for any tracking software which doesn't come with information on the program. Legitimate software sellers have to provide you with detailed information on their products, which includes product services, product descriptions and the features of the product. If you don't get this information with your affiliate tracking software program, you won't know how it works, how to use it or how to use all the features. There are plenty of reputable software sellers out there so make sure you use one of them. A reputable dealer will also be willing to answer any questions you have on their product and offer a guarantee that it will work.
Another thing to watch out for is overpriced tracking software. It is not true that the more expensive it is, the more it will do for you. A costly software might have more features and services but if they are not features and services you need, there is no point paying the extra money for them. To get a good idea of the average price for affiliate tracking software, you should examine and compare a range of different prices. If anything seems unusually expensive, move on and look at something else.
If you are aware of what to look for and to stay away from, you should be able to find the perfect tracking software program for your own requirements. You should also be able to find one that comes with all the information on how to use it and that costs a reasonable price.

Stress Management with Hypnosis and Yoga
Stress symptoms can range anywhere from undereating to overeating, sleeping to much to sleeping to little, constant worrying to unhappiness and depression.
Stress can effect every part of the body and produce negative physical, mental and emotional symptoms. One biological effect of chronic stress is weight gain. Weight loss can be an even bigger challenge for people with chronic stres
Chronic stress-in tandem with a junk food diet-can lay fat on your belly. Scientist at George town University Medical Center in Washington and in Australia and Slovakia have shown in mice that stress activates the hormone neuropeptide Y (NPY), which leads to fat accumulation.
The findings, in July's Nature Medicine have raised hopes that NPY could be manipulated to treat obesity. Source AARP BULLETIN
With all the new research pointing towards an obesity epidemic here in America, parallels can also be drawn between the relationship of unhealthy lifestyles and stress. People tend to take worst care of themselves due to their apathetic and pessimistic outlook on life when they are stressed out, which in turn will cause lack of motivation to exercise or be active and eat right, so stress management is vital for optimal health and well-being.
Most people spend their lives avoiding pain and seeking pleasure in order to find that comfort zone where stress is best well managed. If we fall out of that comfort zone due to a stressful situation or event, we reach for something to make us feel better like sugary foods, or a drink and a smoke etc.
More people are leaning towards natural remedies, free of drugs or quick fix solutions that uaually fail in the long run.
Exercise in itself can relieve stress by releasing chemicals (endorphines) in the brain that will put you in an uplifting mood. But exercise alone won't cure stress related weight gain, you also need to want to take better care of yourself with healthier food choices, plus a mental and emotional transformation.
Sometimes out of the ordinary natural remedies are best and hypnosis and yoga are becoming a mainstream solution to relieve people from stress related weight gain and every day anxiety symptoms, especially since both can be taught and performed alone and at home.
Unfortunately, many individuals have a hard time sticking to a conventional diet, especially since it usually involves elliminating a lot of your favorite foods and requires a lot of dedication not only to a strict diet but a full healthy diet program needs to include exercise also.
Hypnosis and yoga are both being recognized for their general health and curative benefits for stress symptoms such as emotional overeating or the inability to get motivated for exercise or physical activity.
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness, in which you enter a trance-like state.
Hypnosis only works on willing participants and your success will depend entirely on your desire to achieve your treatment goal.
During hypnosis, you are fully awake, even though you are unaware of what is going on around you. It's similar to when you daydream or become totally immersed in a book or movie.
For many years hypnosis was frowned down upon as a theatrical parlor trick exploited by charlatans, but western medicine has shown a fascination in its potential and has since become a useful tool in helping people lose weight, quit smoking, help relieve chronic pain and also used to motivate or extinguish phobias and fear
The root of success with hypnosis for weight loss is by altering your state of mind that will elliminate food cravings and make you want to take care of yourself by eating healthy foods and staying away from the fattening foods plus a sudden desire to exercise and get physically active.
There is no magic to hypnosis, only the individuals use of a natural physical state that influences your subconscious that is only effective if it's something you truly desire.
What Is Yoga?
Yoga is a system of holistic health originating in India over 5000 years ago. Yoga is the practice of balancing the mind, body and spirit enabeling the participants to feel more powerful, confident and balanced.
There are many forms of yoga, with Hatha encompassing the many physical types of yoga. "Ashtanga", which means "eight limbs", being the most physical-kind, linking "asanas" (postures) that are both physical and powerful.
A more modern term used today is "Power Yoga" and is being utilized in many of the gyms and workout classes in America due to it's vigorous and physically demanding constant poses. Because of the constant movement (flow) Power Yoga helps fortify both mind and body while increasing your heart rate and your flexibility.
For a complete fitness regimen of yoga only, it must be vigouros enough and long enough to have a cardio, fat burning, weight loss result.
With the stress relief and physical benefits associated with yoga and exercise, many people are combining yoga with other forms of exercise such as aerobics, walking and many other forms of fat burning activity workout
Yoga also needs to be performed on a regular basis to have a long term lasting effect. And similar to starting an exercise regimen for the first time, you will need to perform less intense yoga poses in the beginning, so you dont' hurt yourself.
So, both hypnosis and yoga are truly effective alternatives to supplements and drugs for weight loss or any stress symptom, providing a deep willingness is present . The rewards will be proportionate to your efforts.

Wrtiing An Effective Love Letter
In my research and interviews with people, one of the most attractive ingredients in written communication which 'sweeps the recipient off his or her feet", so to say, is the effort put into developing the love letter. Getting to meet someone using a note or letter is probably one of the oldest forms of meeting and getting to know someone. One of the most romantic, creative and inexpensive gifts you can give your partner this Valentine's Day is a heartfelt love letter, written from the bottom of your heart!
Sometimes sent in the mail, and increasingly by electronic mail, the letter may be anything from a short and simple message of love to a lengthy explanation of feelings. There is something humble, direct and romantic about reading words on paper. A love letter need not be pages and pages of gushing mush, either.
The letter may describe what pleasures await when you next meet or feelings of love and tenderness. When writing a perfect love letter it's important to consider the status of the relationship. A real love letter is a refreshing way to express your love.
Some Tips On How To Write A Love Letter
- It is a marvelous way to set the tone for moments of soft, sweet, loving time together.
- Let your letters be as if you were there talking to your partner face to face.
- Do not make promises you can not keep and do not write anything you may regret later.
- With your full name, you also send a message to the recipient that you are a decent person.
- Go on to express tender feelings and how it is for you when you spend intimate moments with your chosen.
- One word of caution, avoid any attributes which can be interpreted as sexual in nature.
- You can fold the love letter up and place it in an envelope if you choose.
- If you are writing an erotic lover letter, talk about yourself as well.
- Your penmanship should be as perfect as possible.
- Place a picture of the one you love in front of you.
Things To Consider In Writing
- Make An Offer She Cannot Refuse - Offer to do something that you know will make her really, really happy.
- Surprise Your Partner - Surprise your partner by sharing something very intimate with her, that maybe you didn't express in the past.
- Clear your desk and your mind of distractions.
- Overcoming Writer's Block - For most people, the difficulty in letter-writing is the start and the close.

Building An Effective Money Management System
Know that effective management skills are applicable to every financial scenario imaginable. Money management really does apply to everyone, from minimum wage workers to CEOs of billion dollar conglomerations. It is widely thought that if you cannot manage your life, you can't begin to manage your money.
Money management can mean gaining greater control over outgoings and incomings, both in personal and business perspective. You must understand that leveraging your money with money management can turn a relatively mediocre investments/trading situation into a dynamic moneymaker. More precisely what percentage or what part of the decision maker's wealth should be put into risk in order to maximize the decision maker's utility function. The predominant use of the phrase in financial markets is that of an investment professional making investment decisions for large pools of funds, such as mutual funds or pension plans.
If a big company wants a massive loan (which a lot do, nothing bad, just getting the money quicker than raising it yourself can mean the difference between launching a product next year, or in 5 yrs), then the banks loan your money, and the only way they can do this is if everyone doesn't withdraw everything at the same time!
Money management gives practical advice among others for gambling and for stock trading as well. The process of budgeting, saving, investing, spending or otherwise in overseeing the cash usage of an individual or group. Greater money management can be achieved by establishing budgets and analyzing costs and income etc.
Controlling risk by proclaiming the amount of loss if you are stopped out is not identical to directing risk through a money management model that determines the extent of your problem. You do not have to save your entire paycheck, but you should be saving at least a little something out of each check. Indeed, deficient money management is one major cause of bankruptcy among unseasoned traders. Money management gives practical advice among others for gambling/wagering money or something of material value on an event with an uncertain outcome with the primary intent of winning additional money or material goods and for stock trading/buying or selling stock shares.
Financial stress resulting from poor money management skills can affect our capacity to make good decisions, harm our relationships, affect physical and mental health, and ultimately to function well in life.
Financial asset management is an effective way of handling one's financial assets which can take its place in various forms. The centralization of the financial assets of a company streamlines the asset management process which gives the clients an idea of how well they are doing as measured by their financial assets.

A Royal Celebration for the King of Spain
King Juan Carlos of Spain celebrated a milestone birthday earlier this year when the King turned 70 years old on January 5.
The actual date of this landmark occasion was commemorated with an intimate family gathering at home.
The following week however, Juan Carlos celebrated as only a royal can, with a birthday bash at Pardo Palace. Surrounded by no fewer than 450 of his friends, family, and many dignitaries, the King offered a toast to "all that we have achieved together." Along with other well-wishers, King Juan Carlos's son Prince Felipe offered up a toast in honor of his father's notable achievements that spanned his 70 year
A royal public address would have been customary on such a momentous occasion, but the King was silent.
Observers speculate that hints of controversy surrounding his influence, as well as criticism of the monarchy in general, caused the royal family to remain tight-lipped. Supporters were quick to point out, however, that the King has not gone into self-appointed exile. In fact, he has made numerous public appearances in the last several months. The King even visited Spanish peacekeeping troops in Afghanistan on New Year's Eve of last year, a morale-boosting surprise.
Still, the Spanish monarchy has come under criticism in recent years after decades of unmitigated support. King Juan Carlos enjoyed unwavering support from Spaniards after he thwarted an attempted coup in 1981. Just a few years into his reign at the time, the relatively young king was highly regarded for his commitment to democratic reform.
His legacy of democracy remains even today, although it is tainted by some scandalous events. Questions about the spending habits of the Spanish royal family prompted an audit in 2007. The royal family spun it as little more than a routine financial inquiry. Royal watchers, however, saw it as an attempt to regain public favor. Also fraught with controversy was the recent separation of the king's daughter from her husband of 12 years. Though commonplace in the lives of ordinary citizens, this event may have left something of a black mark on the Spanish royal family.
Despite vocal criticism from left wing groups (including the public burning of the King's photo), supporters for the royal family still number in the hundreds of thousands. Royal watchers continue to follow the movements of King Juan Carlos with admiration. The king was photographed extensively last summer on his annual holiday in Mallorca. An avid sailor, Juan Carlos and his son Prince Felipe took part in the Breitling Sailing Cup. The event, which draws thousands of boat fans annually, seemed a fitting place for the royal father and son to mingle with crowds of like-minded fans.
Queen Sofia was also spotted out and about in Mallorca. She spent some time with her grandchildren and with Princess Alia of Jordan. Photos show a happy and carefree royal family at a ballet performance and benefit for the Queen Sofia Foundation in August, even as announcements about a royal audit were being discussed publicly.
The coming months will dictate the fate of the Spanish royal family. No doubt they will be spotted again this summer on holiday in Mallorca. They will likely continue to try to present themselves in a flattering light to help allay future criticisms. Whether or not King Juan Carlos's days are numbered is not clear.
In the meantime, staunch supporters of the royal family will continue to bolster his public image.

Networking 2.0: Midlife Career Change For the 21st Century
When "career counselor" was a new word (and a "coach" blew the whistle at basketball practice), we all read the Parachute book. The standard career advice line went something like this
"People are bored. They love to talk about what they do. So call them up and ask for information. Eventually someone will offer you a job."
In my experience, that advice is as outdated as the typewriters we used back when the first Parachute edition appeared in the bookstore
Today networking matters more than ever before. But you have to work your way into everyone's outrageously busy schedule.
(1) Create a professional presence on the Internet, using Facebook, Myspace, and/or LinkedIn. Zoodango has become popular among corporate executive
You can be outgoing and personal but share only what your next uptight business contact needs to know...unless you refuse to ever work with the uptight set, which is another article.
It's no accident that my "personal" public persona showcases my dog, with occasional glimpses of the cats. I've seen too many innocent disclosures get distorted... anyone following the Amanda Knox case?
(2) Attend professional meetings and conference
In some fields, you'll make awesome contacts. In others, you'll just get information about what's really happening, outside your own office.
And when you need to make calls, you may be able to say, "I'd like to use your name when I call your associate at MegaBig company..."
Or, "Do you know anyone who worked at SoNew Company? I'd like to get more info before applying..."
(3) Go back to school the grown-up executive way.
If appropriate, consider teaching courses at local universities and learning centers. Choose topics that enhance your most marketable strength
You won't get rich from the stipends but you get exposure and credibility. You'll often make some helpful contacts and gain new perspectives on the field.
Or consider the other side of the desk.
If you have funds and opportunity, a graduate degree can open doors - not just from the degree, but also from contacts you make. Programs offering face-to-face meetings on weekends or evenings tend to be most effective - and I have met people who got jobs through fellow student
(4) Attend networking events designed for business owners (even if you love the corporate world and plan to stay forever).
You never know. Remember the Mary Poppins line "I'll stay till the wind changes." I've met many savvy business people who encountered a tornado in their own office
When that happens, especially if you're over 50, you may see income faster from self-employment than from sending out resumes. I wouldn't stop job-hunting but hey, why not explore this path too?
Being around business owners will give you a boost "If they can, I can." And if you think like an entrepreneur, you may find corporate life a little easier to take (and more rewarding, too).
Just about everyone who attends those meetings has corporate contacts...and they're very comfortable making referrals and introductions. That's how they grow their own businesse
(5) Talk to everybody.
One of my acquaintances found herself sitting next to some corporate executives at a basketball game. Turns out they were using tickets from a corporate sponsor...and that company often had openings in her field. That particular contact didn't lead to a job, but she did gain some ideas that she used to make a quantum career leap.
University alumni groups tend to be especially friendly and open. It's an easy place to say, "I'm looking for a job in X industry. Do you know..."
Bottom Line We're not calling strangers anymore to ask for "advice." Everybody knows what you're really after...and if they don't, they're too clueless to help. But we have newer, more user-friendly and more effective ways to build a network (before we *need* one).

Its Your Retirement Planning To Do Right Or Wrong
But short of the worst case scenario of an early demise, everyone is going to get old and its far better to do so with a plan then to let it sneak up on you.
This is something you do not want to screw up. Is it possible to screw up retirement planning? Of course it is. If you speak to senior citizens who did not start planning in advance and got to their senior years with nothing to fall back on and no funds to use so they can step out of the working world and enjoy a more leisurely retirement lifestyle, that is an example of people who screwed up their retirement planning. So it is good to know the common mistakes people make so you can avoid them.
Probably the biggest mistake that you can make in your retirement planning is to wait to start it until you are pretty close to retirement. If you want to retire at 60 and you do not start getting ready until you are 55, you will not have nearly as well prepared a retirement package as if you had started when you was 25 or 35. By starting early, you can set back a small amount each month and put it into an IRA, your employer 401k or some other retirement vehicle. Then just let that money continue to accumulate and grow and before you know it you are sitting on top of a pretty substantial nest egg.
Speaking of sitting on top of a nest egg, the second big mistake people make is not leaving that nest egg alone. When that retirement investment fund starts to get big, it is really easy to look at it as a way to get you out of credit card debt trouble or to borrow against for some new plan or possession you want. Above all, resist this temptation. If you lose that retirement fund due to foolish use of the funds in your middle age years, you are back to square one with nothing to show for your years of hard work developing that retirement nest egg.
The plan of setting up withholding from your checkbook or a direct deposit to your retirement account of retirement savings allows you to go about your busy life knowing that your retirement planning is underway. This is step one but its not a good idea to never go back and review your retirement plan and see if how you are going about getting ready for retirement well in advance. Make it a regular ritual to sit down and review what is going on with your investment funds. Look at the way your investments have been performing and if you are not getting a good return on those money, make some changes. Remember, just because your retirement funds are being managed by the company you work for does not mean the money belongs to them. It is yours so be responsible and manage it.
Starting early and staying proactive about your retirement is your best approach to retirement planning and one that will result in a much bigger retirement fund for you to start your golden years with. And by taking good care of your retirement before you need it, you are guaranteeing that it will take good care of you when its time to depend on that fund for a happy and prosperous retirement lifestyle.

What You Should Know About Sleep Disorders
Everyone suffers from an occasional nightmare or sleepless night, but millions of Americans suffer from extremely severe sleep disorders that can negatively affect their health if left untreated. In fact, ninety-five percent of people suffering from such a disorder remain undiagnosed.
This staggering number means that a huge population of people aren't getting the treatment they need. In this article, we'll talk about sleep disorders to help you decide if you need medical help.
There are over one hundred different types of its disorders that can be classified into four categories. Insomnias include difficulty falling and staying asleep. Narcolepsy and apnea are examples of disorders that prevent people from staying awake. People suffering from jet lag or those who have trouble sleeping because of shift work are having a disturbance in their sleep/wake cycle.
People who experience sleepwalking or enuresis are experiencing interruptions associated with behavioral problems. Any condition in which your sleep doesn't follow the typical phase cycle or doesn't stay in each cycle for a sufficient period of time is a disruptive disorder.
Those who have disrupted sleep tend to not experience "restorative sleep." Sleep deprivation can make you irritable, tired, have less focus, a lower frustration level, and can lead to exhibiting behavior that's more emotional and impulsive. One dangerous fact about sleeping disorders is that they weaken the immune system and make us more susceptible to other diseases like diabetes, cancer and even the common cold.
It is not uncommon for people who suffer from its deprivation due to disorders such as apnea, narcolepsy and insomnia to also suffer from other problems including diabetes, asthma or a second sleep disorder.
When gaining insight about sleep disorders, you will find that no one is immune. Many elderly people suffer from insomnia and often have to be put on medication for the condition. Some of the common disorders that affect children include night terrors, nightmares and bedwetting. Nearly seventy percent of women report that they suffer from some type of sleep disorder.
Similarly, over forty percent of women admit that daytime sleepiness disrupts their daily activities. Although menopausal and pregnant women are far more likely to suffer from such a disorder, women are two times more likely than men to experience a malady of this kind.
A restless night can result in more than just daytime sleepiness, so it's crucial to seek medical attention if you aren't sleeping for an extended period of time. Your doctor can provide a wealth of treatment options or refer you to organizations that know more about sleep disorders. No matter which course of treatment you choose, your quality of life will definitely improve once you start getting some quality shut eye.

Brand Effectiveness is Key to Membership Growth
The visibility, awareness and effectiveness of your organization's brand directly impact your ability to recruit and retain members. If your organization isn't the first thing member prospects think of when they turn to industry issues, there's work to be done.
But where to start?
As popular wisdom has it, knowing and admitting you have a problem puts you half way to solving it. In this case, that means doing a little member research to determine how your members and prospective members view your organization through its brand. This can take one of several forms, including a quick poll on your website, a phone survey, an e-mail or electronic survey, or a paper/mail survey.
Regardless of the format, the recipient list should be equal parts members and prospects, to get both perspectives and spot any disconnects between those that know the organization from the inside versus what the brand alone presents to the outside world. The included questions should be formulated so that the responses returned are actionable, and give you some indication of their perceptions of the brand and the organization behind it, based on their actual experience with you, as customers, as members, as industry participant
Reading the results in a timely fashion is important, as the cyclic nature of non-profit schedules creates peaks and valleys in the brand perception and awareness level, depending upon what time of the year it is, and how high the level of activity involving members is at the time you launch the survey. For organizations that have even more volatile years, it may be necessary to do two sets of surveys at different times of the year and compare the results to get a good reliable read on the level of awareness you can count on.
The results of your survey are one source of data, but there are other sources that while less formal or quantifiable, are just as valid in getting a read on your brand awareness and effectiveness. These include interviews with Board members, committee members, volunteers, chapter presidents or directors, vendors, other related professionals, including members of related associations, and members of ASAE.
Once all this data is collected, it needs to be interpreted accurately so that the actions you take drive your brand efforts in the most effective direction possible. Some items will be readily apparent if the surveys and interviews were constructed correctly.
One good tool you can use to read your results is to retrieve the set of brand characteristics from the marketing archives, and see how many of your responses line up with those characteristics. If your responses, including the open-ended comments, use some of the terms and attributes that make up your organization's brand, then you've got a good solid start on reading your data correctly and rating a good score on your brand effectiveness.
Conversely, if very few or none of the responses include those attributes on the list, there's a good chance there's a disconnect between what you're trying to convey with your brand, and how it's being perceived by the various populations it's designed to serve.
Now that you've got a read on how well you're doing, how do you go about improving? The answer is, much as it's been overused by too many of us in today's litigious society - it depends. It depends upon what your data tells you, and every case is different. However there are some common scenarios and a few valuable remedies to match them.
Scenario #1 - Our brand registers very low on the surveys for memorability.
Typically this means that your customer base doesn't remember your brand in response to a question designed to illicit a favorable response unprompted. Your organization isn't top of mind for them as relates to your products or services, and someone else's brand is. That could mean that your exposure frequency is too low, they don't see enough from you to keep memorability high enough.
It could be that a competitor has captured some key emotional connection to the customer that you have not, despite an inferior product or service - they're not as good, but customers remember them because they're "out there" more. This can be remedied with some increase in exposure to key audiences - your top buyers should hear more from you in a positive light to reassure them that you offer the product or services that give the best value.
Putting your brand in front of them for positive reasons, like a price discount, a new offer that really saves money, rebate eligibility or other product or service related reason other than to sell them something should go a long way toward remedying this issue. It will boost memorability without seeming like you're overselling them, a positive cognitive light that will cement the brand in the uppermost memory of the customer.
Scenario #2 - Our brand rates favorably and has high memory retention among customers, but neither do as well among prospect
Usually, this indicates that your product or service has to be "seen to be believed" - it's value is best seen at delivery or in the transaction, rather than prior to receiving it. This is a sticky problem that has to do as much with promotional direction and relevance as anything else. Your customers know you and have experienced your value, been satisfied with the product or service upon and after delivery and the reputation of the brand was reinforced positively.
Prospects, on the other hand, only know you by your "public" face - advertising, packaging, direct marketing, sponsorship associations. The brand unfortunately has little carriage by word of mouth, based on the fact that satisfied customers are not waving your flag and passing on the good word to prospects themselves. Prospects only get a read based on what you tell them.
Look to your research and find those key hot buttons of your best customers, and promote those attributes to prospects more heavily. Also, compare your reading on prospects versus customers in other areas of your brand - you may find another disconnect in their perceptions that could cause this effect, and you can remedy both with a shift in your promotional or creative approach to highlight those key elements more heavily. Align your creative with those highest ranking attributes of your best customers, and the prospects should get the best, most relevant perception of your product.
These are just two of the possible outcomes to this type of analysis. Suffice to say that if you're brand is aligned with your message and your audience, you've got a strong package for success.

Great Healing Foods For Super Weight Loss
Anyone who has ever been on a diet will tell you that the main reason that they fail is because the person is always hungry. However, experts claim that this does not have to happen. There are two categories of foods that allow you to eat as much as you want without any fat or calories fruits and vegetable
These to superfoods allow you to eat as much of the as you want without gaining the weight that you do not want. The greatest nutrients in fruits and vegetables are fiber and protein. Fiber assists your body in keeping the weight off, and protein curbs your appetite and you do not feel hungry. Protein can also boost your metabolism, however experts advise that you limit your intake of protein because like everything good, moderation is necessary for good health.
Research has indicated that certain foods are low calorie and can assist you in achieving your weight loss goals.
Green Tea - Researchers suspect that the catechins found in green tea may activate weight loss by motivating the body to burn calories, which in turn burns fat.
Soups- A big bowl of hot soup may reduce your hunger and allow you to consume less food during a meal.
Green salads - A garden salad is the perfect lunch for anyone who is dieting. Choosing a low calorie dressing will add to the taste of your salad without adding a lot of calories. Croutons are great on top of a salad, however not when you are dieting. When you choose to add a salad before the main course, you are most likely to eat less of the main course. It may also curb your need for a snack in the middle of the afternoon.
Yogurt - dairy products have a number of different vitamins and nutrients that your body needs especially when you diet. It is important that you include dairy as part of your menu choices. Low fat or light yogurt is a wonderful way to keep dairy in your diet and can stave off the hunger pains in the late afternoon.
Beans - contain the fiber and protein that your body needs when you diet. Beans can make you less hungry for longer periods of time thereby avoiding the temptations that have made diet fail in the past.
Water - This is perhaps the most important part of your diet. Water is important because it keeps you hydrated, however, it also flushes toxins out of your body allowing you to achieve your weight loss goals. Drinking a glass of water before meals and snacks will help you to feel full and you will not eat as much.
High-Fiber, Whole-Grain Cereal - it has always been said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and with good reason. Studies have indicated that when you eat breakfast, you will eat less during the day because you are giving yourself a good start. Whole grain, high fiber cereals contain the vitamins, minerals, and fiber that your body needs for continued good health.

Micro Penis : What It Is And What You Can Do About It
What in the world is a micro penis? From the word "micro" we can guess it means "very small" but how small?
Recent medical researches indicates that a micro penis is an extremely small penis that measures about 2 centimeters for a new born baby and less than 4 centimeters for an adult male. Luckily, this disorder of penis is very rare. Only about 0.6% of total male population suffers from it.
The main reason for a "micro penis" disorder is the low secretion of prenatal androgen - a hormone such as testosterone responsible for the development of male characteristics. Due to this low secretion, the fetus does not have enough "resources" to develop the penis fully.
Another important reason is that the fetus failed to respond to the male hormones secreted and therefore penile growth is affected. Still another reason for a micro penis is a deficiency in the human growth hormone.
Whatever the reasons for a micro penis, it remains a fact that it affects man's self confidence and self image. A micro penis makes sex difficult and therefore the chances of having a baby is much reduced.
So what can a man do if he has an embarrassing micro penis? Here are 4 ways he can handle this distressing issue -
1)Go for a penis augmentation surgery or phalloplasty
This is a risky option that may or may not work though. The human penis is partially hidden by the pubic bone and partially visible. What a phalloplasty operation do is to make the hidden part more invisible so that the penis hangs more on the outside. This is a dangerous option that can have severe side effects like having the penis pointing in the wrong direction!
2)Use a penis stretching device
This is a viable solution as a penis stretcher is an effective way to enlarge the penis. The device works on the traction principle which simply means body parts expand if a traction force is applied long enough to encourage tissue growth. Orthopaedic surgeons have long used this principle to treat people with limbs problem.
3)Do penis enlarging exercises together with penis supplements
This method is not scientifically proven but lots of evidences can be found in public forum where guys swear they work. Based loosely on the traction principle, penis exercises stretch the penis and encourage growth. The pills provide the nutrients much like protein pills provide nutrients for body builder
4) Live with it
Ok, this is not really a solution but a life philosophy. Accept reality if you cannot or are not willing to change what is given to you. Sometime in life, acceptance is good as it can relieve some stress. After all, life is much bigger than just having a big peni
Whatever your choice for a solution, be grateful that you are alive. Be thankful for all the great things you have now and will be having in the future. For those who have gratitude, more will be given to him.

Free List Of Negative Calorie Foods
You will find a free list of negative calorie foods below, but first let's consider what this means. There is no such thing as a negative calorie - a calorie is a unit of heat and it cannot be negative. So when people talk about negative calorie foods, this just means a food whose calorie level is low enough that it takes more energy to eat and digest it than the food contains.
For example, if you consider water to be a food, then cold water is certainly a negative calorie food. It contains no calories at all and the body has to expend energy to bring it up to blood temperature. So every time we drink a glass of cold water we burn up a couple of calories and lose a little weight. But there are very few foods like this. Most foods that are on the list do not really use more calories than they add, or if they do the effect is negligible ... until you remember that at the same time the body expends energy just to keep alive and breathing. Celery for example does not give us enough calories to cover both the energy that it takes to digest it, plus the energy that we expend even when we are doing nothing. So that is why people call it a negative calorie food.
Negative calorie foods are most attractive to anorexics. A negative calorie diet would obviously result in starvation in the long term and nutritional deficiencies can occur surprisingly quickly. The calories burnt usually come from muscle mass, and the result is debility and wasting.
A more healthy way to use a negative calorie diet is as a form of fasting or detox. It is something you can do for one to three days right after the Christmas season or another time when you have been eating a over-rich diet. Provided you are otherwise healthy it can be a great way to clean out the system. However it is still best to take medical advice before attempting thi
If you decide to use a negative calorie detox, keep the following points in mind
1. It is never a good idea to eat huge quantities of one type of food, especially fruits. A lot of foods contain substances that can be damaging if consumed to excess. For example, the acid in grapefruit and pineapple can damage your stomach lining. Other foods put an excessive burden on the liver or may cause diarrhea. So try to use all the different foods in small quantitie
2. Do not spend all day eating. You will just become bloated and feel sick. If you are only doing this for a couple days, you should not feel too hungry. Plan four or five salad meals each day, and let your digestion rest at other time
3. You will feel more satisfied if you eat slowly and chew your food thoroughly. You will also use more calories that way. So if the foods can be eaten raw, that will be more effective than cooking them. Foods like carrots and beets will also be more satisfying if you eat them grated.
4. Schedule time when you do not have any important commitments. As with fasting or any kind of detox, you may suffer some uncomfortable symptoms including headaches, tiredness, depression and irritability. If these become severe, stop the diet and see a doctor.
5. When you end the detox, plan a gradual return to normal eating.
If all the above points are checked and passed, let's move on to the list of foods.
* Apples
* Asparagus
* Beets
* Blueberries
* Broccoli
* Cantaloupes
* Carrot

* Celery stalk

Reiki - How It Works And How It Can Help
Rei - Spirit and Ki - Universal Life Energy. This simple translation of the word means that Reiki is more than a physical therapy - it is a healing system that heals on all levels, the Body, Mind and Spirit at one and the same time.
Universal Life Energy is the life-force of the universe. It is the never-ending source of support and strength which flows through all living things and is vital to sustain us and enable us to survive and live within our human - 3-dimensional - existence on the earth. It is known as ki in Japan, chi in China and prana in India and the practice of Acupuncture, Tai Chi and Yoga are all based on the free-flow of this energy within and around us all.
But this life-force is more than just a cosmic energy. Expressed through the System of Reiki, by those who have been 'attuned' to use it, it is activated by the power of intent. It then becomes dynamic and is - 'The Manifestation of the Healing Power of Love.'
But this Love goes beyond the conditional love of an exchange of our individual need and support, each for the other, which operates on our human level of understanding and sharing. The manifestation of Love through Reiki is the expression of Universal, Unconditional and Compassionate Love. It operates 'from the highest good and for the highest good' for both those that receive it - and those that give it. (Which is not always exactly what we believe to be our highest good at the time - see 'What to expect!')
What is it used for?
1. Inducing Deep Relaxation and Releasing Stress and Tension.
2. Stimulating the natural healing of Acute and Chronic Ailments. It can - and sometimes does - relieve ALL physical pain to a greater or lesser extent.
3. Speeding Recovery after Surgery and Injury.
4. Supporting Conventional Medicine & Minimising the Side-Effects of Drugs.
5. Releasing Blocked Energies and Cleansing Toxins.
6. Supporting during the Times of Crises, Depression, Illness, Death & Bereavement.
7. Restoring Self-Worth and the ability to take Responsibility for the Self.
8. Supporting and Replenishing All Carers.
9. Promoting Harmony within Relationships.
10. Gaining Greater Perception of Inner Clarity, Understanding, Wisdom, Awareness and Enlightenment.
How does it work?
Reiki Energy is able to go to the deeper levels of our being where so much illness has its origin. Dis-ease is always a 'chicken and egg' situation. Is it the mind that creates the physical sickness and pain - or the body that affects the mind, resulting in depression, unhappiness, mental upset and illness because of our physical state? The profound ability of Reiki Healing is that it has the power to open our mind - and our spirit - to understanding, accepting and working with the root-causes of our 'dis-ease' - whether they are physical, mental, spiritual, or a combination of all three.
Reiki releases our resistance receiving Reiki and allowing it to work within us enables us to work with it. Instead of our normal mental response to resist all that we perceive to be negative, disturbing and destroying in our life we discover that we are able to accept it - it is there, it has happened - we cannot turn back the clock. This release of resistance releases the tension in our mind and body which engenders a deep peace and relaxation. In turn this enables our own natural healing ability, activated by universal life energy and 'spirit,' to take over. This healing works on all levels, the body, mind and spirit, as and how it needs to in order to promote the body's own regenerative self-healing.
There is now a great deal of research into the working of 'energy', within the universe and within our human selves. There are also scientifically researched books now being published linking the application of energy via specific electronic instruments - the Tens Machine, the Sensar, the Q Strip etc., with the channelling of energy via human application - i.e. that the 'energy' transmitted is exactly the same!

Getting Your Child Interested In Astronomy With A Child Telescope
There is a big interest in science today and the lack thereof in our youth yet with a little interest by adults in the science of astronomy and a relatively inexpensive child telescope you could show the universe in a whole new way.
There are a few things that you need prior to getting a child telescope and your beginning endeavors into astronomy. Astronomy need not be a confusing and difficult process to understand, while it may take a little studying, the use of a child telescope could help you begin to get your child interested in something that can help them develop new skills and new attitudes. Your first child telescope need not be overly expensive nor should it be too cheap to be perceived as another toy in some childrens collection.
A child telescope can be as expensive or inexpensive as one is willing to pay, yet if you are willing to put a little time into researching telescopes you can determine what model would be best for you and your child. Once you have selected a telescope, spending a little time understanding how to use and spending time with your child could help the child telescope be a more stable part of your life.
Beginning Astronomy
You may think that you need to be part scientist to understand the difference in telescopes and that your child telescope should wow and amaze your child but the truth is that developing an interest is key and that there are plenty of sites out there that will help you understand what you should look for in a child telescope. Start small and develop the interest, the patience and knowledge that studying stars, planets and the universe.
So if apertures, lens, mirrors, or reflectors confuse you it may be better to start small, make sure that your child telescopes catches his or her imagination and interest then proceed into bigger things. The worst thing that many parents experience in buying their children things is the lack of interest that comes after a few months or weeks of starting a new hobby. Yet you could extend that interest by making short term goals and helping them gain more interest in the hobby through your own interest.
Who knows, beginning with a child telescope could bring you closer and develop the interest in science and the universe, which is a long way from video games, television and other distractions in our lives.

All About Water Damage To Chimneys
When we consider the durability of a brick and cement chimney, you normally figure that they were made with these products to hold up for numerous years, and they were. What many people do not realize is that most chimneys may be susceptible to all types of water situations.
The chimney is usually the most recognizable feature on our house top. It is normally sticking up there well above the other things. Throughout time, our brick chimneys are exposed to wind, rain, sleet, and humidity.
Frequent freezing and thawing could cause brick work to decline rapidly because when the bricks become wet and then they freeze, they expand and this can cause their structure to get weakened. All of these natural elements will cause some decline, especially when proper examinations and corrections are not done frequently enough.
The chimney also has metal parts like cast iron or steel also that can be harmed through time by getting wet often. The metal parts can rust and make more leaking and even more devastation. If the water leakage is too bad, it may cause rotting to any nearby or underlying wood that it has prolonged contact with. Needing repairs like this will get expensive fast.
There are several ways that masonry chimney water damage can be avoided. The first way to do this is by installing a chimney cap when the chimney does not have one. Many older homes might not have one. Chimney caps are relatively inexpensive and are not that difficult to install.
A well made chimney cap can have more purposes other than deterring water from entering your flues. They also help prevent sparks from going up through the chimney and resting on your housetop and will discourage small animals and birds from putting their nest inside the chimney.
The chimney crown covers and seals the top area of the chimney from the flue liners to the chimney edge. The chimney crown is probably made from the same mortar as the bricks mortar and is easily deteriorated through years of exposure to the elements. After a chimney cap is damaged, it will eventually allow water in. After a chimney crown is cracked, chipped, or flaking it is best to have it replaced.
Replacement of damaged flashing can be easily repaired. Flashing is a metal lining underneath the housetop shingles around the chimney and prevents water from getting in to this area.
Last but not least, waterproof your chimneys masonry. This is an easy task and will prevent your porous masonry from holding large amounts of water.

More Tips On Completing Your Online Degree Program Successfully
Just as the popularity of online education has spiked, so has the number of online education program dropouts. Many professionals and busy parents who do not otherwise have time to complete a traditional degree are lured into distant learning programs because of the convenience of online study that allows them to complete coursework at their own pace. However, as an added element to an already busy schedule, many distance learning students find that their stress level greatly increases. This stress is caused by a variety of factors, including the often heavier-than-normal workload as many distance education courses are compressed to enable a faster completion time. This being said, how can one overcome the added stress and successfully complete an online degree?
Don't take life too seriously. As a distance learner, purpose to have fun and enjoy your learning experience. Make sure you have adequate breaks in between your study sessions to talk on the phone, mingle with your family, grab a snack, or even read something humorous and unrelated to your curriculum. Take time to laugh out the stress. If you have a way to chat with other students taking the same course, take advantage of the opportunity to do so and build healthy relations online.
It is very important to enroll in a program or course of which you are passionate. There is a higher likelihood of dropping out of an online degree program if you are in it solely for the money. It has been reported that students who go to school to feed their passion are more likely to succeed. Before you enroll, do a self-evaluation of your goals and then purpose to pursue only those courses that you have a personal interest in.
Another way to alleviate stress is to make sure that your computer equipment is in good working order. This point cannot be stressed more. Many online students have experienced a computer breakdown or malfunction the day of a final exam, or when a project is due. Installing anti-virus software like Norton to weed out viruses that may disrupt the speed and workability of your computer is important. You may also want to upgrade your memory if your computer is older than three years.
Along with the "health" of your computer, your own physical conditional is important. Lack of sleep and unhealthy eating habits can cause your system to crash when it is put under stress. Ensure that you are getting adequate sleep, eat healthy foods, and set aside time for physical exercise. One of the best (and cheapest) exercises is walking. Take a break from your evening study and go for a walk down the street.
A decade ago, online students formed the minority of the total student body. It used to be that taking an online class was for those who didn't quite meet the standard set for traditional college education. These attitudes have changed, and have largely been replaced by an army of online education students whose evenings are spent behind high-speed computers completing various curricular assignments. Online education is here to stay as more and more colleges are churning out online courses in just about career field under the sun. For many universities now offering online courses, after weighing the pros and cons of online education, they now realize the innumerable benefits associated with this form of education.
Online courses have the obvious benefit of allowing student to complete courses from the comfort of their own home, as opposed to time and money spent in a commute to a residential campus. Another great advantage of online classes is the structure that comes with the online flexibility, meeting the needs of busy men and women can who would otherwise not have time to complete a traditional degree. Students can work at their own pace by taking an online class, yet still have the support of the staff and faculty of the university to see them through each course toward the successful completion of their degree. Traditional curriculums can be long and tedious, and often tend to consume more resources than one has actually budgeted.
Most of us are aware that the best colleges are concentrated in specific parts of the world or nation. In the U.S., the best colleges tend to be in New England and the Southern States, although there are excellent colleges in practically every corner of the U.S. With online classes, a student can now attend a top college without ever having to relocate. The University of Phoenix for instance, has gone on to become the largest university in the U.S. in terms of student enrollment. Anyone from anywhere can now attend the University of Phoenix, and many other national colleges are now following suit.
Online courses generally take a shorter time to complete. The academic experts who design online home curriculum do so with busy professionals in mind. These students have specific professional goals and aspirations, such as additional training toward a promotion. Online courses are designed with this in mind, and therefore they take a shorter time to complete. It is not entirely uncommon to hear of students completing a four-year degree program in two years or less!
Online classes tend to cost less because of the shortened course duration. Students who attend traditional colleges have to pay for transportation, or room and board, especially if they are attending college in a different location then the area they are from. Books are also an additional cost, as well as meals away from home. Online students have access to online libraries as well as e-books, which can result in a considerable savings, and food costs are also lower for online students because they study from home.

How Appliances Are Destroyed By Water Damage
So many of the household appliances we use everyday are so essential to us that we are at a loss when one quits. How can we cope without an air conditioner when it is hot outside? All of our stored up food can be lost when a freezer or refrigerator shuts down out of the blue. Any of these appliance problems are distressing anytime, especially if the warranty is no longer valid.
Appliance failure is enough to deal with, but water using appliances causing a flood is even more tragic. Sometimes the appliance has not stopped working, but when an appliance that works with water suddenly has a connection to burst or come loose, it might be a big problem. The best and easiest way to stop this particular issue is to keep a check on their connection
You may have several appliances that have a water line that helps them function. Hot water heaters, washing machines, dishwashers, garbage disposals, and refrigerators are all appliances that operate using water. Each one of these items will have to be on an inspection list of the things in your home where water is allowed in and goes out.
This list is a serious matter. Every time water is out of control in a residence it can create problems. The damage can be more than you realize and cost you a lot of money if you might have been gone away for a few day
Check that all the hoses are attached correctly. If they contain rubber seals or washers, inspect them for deterioration every once in a while and your rubber hoses as well. When the place you live in is known for a lot of frigid weather in the winter season, you can shut the water to them off entirely on really frigid nights if you think a specific appliance may be affected, such as washing machine in the basement. Insulating pipes is necessary to stop pipes under the house from freezing that connect into any appliances that use water.
Hot water tanks must be set in a plastic pan made especially for them. Having a drain positioned close by is a good idea also. Besides the hot water heater water connections having problems, the bottoms of aging hot water heaters occasionally may get rusted holes in them and cause a considerable amount of leaking or flooding.
Washing machines and dishwashers are the largest threats for flooding in a home. They are likely to be used very regularly and usually break down and need checking the most often. In a large household, if either of these appliances are not working or create a flood, it is more than an annoyance. It will keep you from cleaning up daily laundry and dishes and might cause a new, even greater mess from water also.

The Basics Of How Hearing Aids Work
Hearing loss is gradually aggravating problem in the whole of United States as the latest report from American Hearing Aid Association has indicated that more than 10 percent of the American popular is suffering from hearing loss in someway or the other. Hearing loss is a condition when sound is prevented from reaching the inner ear, resulting in blocking of the sound signals to the brain.
The one and only proficient way of fighting the menace of hearing loss is to adapt to hearing aid. There are different kinds of hearing aid available however, all of them vary in size and design, while the fundamental function remains the same. Several components constitute the making of a hearing aid - microphone, circuit, receiver and battery.
The basic mechanism of all hearing aids irrespective of models and design is that, after the microphone accepts up sound, the circuit converts the sound waves into an electrical signal and changes it based upon computer data given by the audiologist. And to know how hearing aids work, it is essential to know the function of a circuit.
The circuit manipulates it with software that adjusts the sound waves in different perceptions. While a receiver after that converts the amplified sound back into an electrical signal to deliver the sound through the ear canal. All these functions are run by battery, which charges energy particles and supply the necessary power to the hearing aid component
To know how hearing aids work, we have to know and understand the flow of sound through the hearing process. Sound travels in waveforms through the air, and they are gathered in by the ear and altered, before being sent to our brains to be interpreted. However, in case of hearing loss, hearing loss aids work towards amplifying sound, with the components that are guided with some form of internal or external controller
The microphone works by receiving the sound from any source and changes or converts it into varying electrical impulses. However, the fundamental of how hearing aids work is mainly due to the functioning of the circuit.
The circuit is mainly responsible for the amplification of the sound according to its prescribed settings. And the settings differ according to the environment in which the user is placed. Just as, circuit can maintain and reduce the loud sounds of vehicles, reduce any background sound, just amplifying the speech in any public place, etc.

Tips To Use Two Tier Affiliate Programs To Your Advantage
Two-tier could be a new term to you but to those who are involved in this kind of money-making experience it could mean a stream of income. Two-tier is an enticing feature of a particular affiliate program wherein, you are allowed to sign-up additional affiliates below you. So that when the sub-affiliates otherwise known as second tier earns a commission, the affiliate above receives a commission too.
In two-tier system, the first tier of commission is just like in the usual affiliate program. The sole difference is that it has an additional tier/s or sub-affiliates, whereby marketers also gain a commission once the people that the additional tiers referred to the program generate sales. Theoretically, affiliate programs can have multi-tier program with infinite number of tiers, however, there are practical limitations. As tiers increase, the affiliate program draws more webmasters who are mostly interested in gaining profit from other's work and effort.
Two-Tier affiliate program is also recognized as Multi-Level Marketing. When you sign-up for an affiliate program, you are identified as the first tier and the person that you have recruited or encouraged to sign up is the second tier. If there are additional tiers, then the system can now be regarded as multi-level marketing (MLM). But today, MLM isn't as effective and successful as it was several years ago. It is because at present, affiliates can freely select from thousands of affiliate programs and they can quickly switch from one program to another.
You could probably go wrong if you're thinking that you can depend on your second tier to do the job for you. So if you want to use two-tier affiliate program to your advantage and generate more income by encouraging sub-affiliates to sign-up below you, make sure that you carefully choose your affiliate merchant. Pick those merchants who generate stable stream of high quality products, give high or just commissions, offers real time tracking, furnishes you with a proven and tested advertising arsenal and treat their affiliates very well. You can also sign-up for the merchant who gives high visitors-to-sales conversion rate.
It is also advisable if you engage yourself with a web merchant that has a user-friendly website which you can access anytime so that you can monitor your statistics including visits and sales. And if possible, choose the one with powerful marketing tools which you can use in promoting their products.
You're just wasting much of your time and effort and worse, damaging your integrity once you promote poor affiliate program because your visitor will surely presume that the product or service you are reselling must be dreadful too. That's the reason why it is important to pick first-rate affiliate programs. Through these, you can not only build up a good relationship with your visitor, but also, you can easily get more tiers to sign-up under you. You should also be cautious of some affiliate programs that give more importance on the profits to be earned in taking on other affiliates than on the income from sales, because you'll just eventually find out that someone has already close those sales without informing you. Usually, this kind of affiliate program offers a very low first-tier payment but a sky-scraping second-tier commission.
If you want to start an affiliate program of your own, you surely have to decide whether it will be a single tier or two-tier affiliate program. Who am I to say which of these two programs are better? But let me tell you the benefits you could get out of two-tier affiliate program.
First, your profit will increase due to increased sales from the customers that your second tier has referred. Second, you have a much broader customer base to which you can sell your products and services. Then, you gain more and stable income because the customers referred by your affiliate and sub-affiliates could probably develop a lifetime loyalty on your site and your products. Plus, you have an army of sub-affiliates who will promote and resell your products and services to their visitors and subscribers.
Two-tier program has been a proven winner and should be the number one choice for the budding affiliates as well as for the affiliate program managers. When you start gaining profits from your site as well as your tiers, this is now the right time to say that you have used two-tier affiliate program to your advantage.

Diamonds, Smart Money Now Buying Net Diamonds In Rare Low Bids to Wealth
Diamonds and gemstones are being discovered and dug out of the ground up in the north of Canada. And this is very good news in many ways.
One is that these new rare tight pipes of diamond discoveries are easily controlled in a narrow area. And that these new additions to the shrinking world supply of essential industrial diamonds are in a democracy where good governance is far different from the blood diamond situations in war torn Africa.
There, the differently burst diamond pipe has strewn diamonds over large areas, which creates chaos over vast areas. Various tribal warlords plant land mines to protect their areas, which causes fatalities and mutilations among local farmers who live constant lives of fear.
Now that these new diamond pipes are being mined in the north of Canada has changed everything. For decades my daughters looked with suspicion at diamonds, and they would agree that buying them would only encourage the blood money war lords who kill people in Africa to steal these.
In contrast, now our grand daughters learn in school of these proud superior new Polar Bear Diamonds from the far north of Canada, and that only a polar bear bum makes a diamond the one them them. Now they apply money from part time jobs to have a house get together or a diamond net party, and place low bids on pure new Canadian diamonds with a Polar Bear stamped into the bottom.
And that little Polar Bear tells our grand daughters and all that locals were employed, not mutilated in the collecting of these rare gems. And our grand daughters are smart and of high moral caliber and the former disgust and doubt of blood money has changed to polar bear pride.
And an investment in their very own future. They are ahead of the rest of us if these are great news bears, they want one. We may indeed be losing the polar bears to global warming. But Canada can at least allow the polar bear to live on as a diamond forever.
Our grand children can feel good that they make a low bid investment in a precious product they could later use as security for their first home, or their own home business. Right now, they only cruise the mall or comparison shopping, and laugh at the price in the jewelry store window.
At home, they go where the smart money, and do what they could not do with the snobbish lady at the mall, but bid low and laugh and come back. They now show off their prize new possessions they give the lady at the jewelry store a big wave. With their jeweled hand.
Our good fortune is where these rare pipes of diamonds shot out of the core to the surface of the earth, in rocky northern Canada. This has greatly expanded the supply of highest rate diamonds in the world.
Another is that these new diamonds are of a smaller type of cluster diamond they tend to fall apart into more perfect diamonds of a size to impress but at a more easy labor process and risk of waste.
That these are diamond pipes and in a democracy that enjoys good governance is good new in many ways. Linked to this is the findings by the Pew Institute of America. They have studied global needs and decisions for where to plant more forests to suck up poisons and carbon.
They find there are three vast forested areas on earth Russia, Brazil, and Canada. Their decision has been that only Canada has the good governance and order to make likely best use of any attempts to suck up bad carbon.
And while Canada already plants more trees than it cuts, that volume of reforestation has begun. And if we cut down some trees to get your diamonds to you, we have promised to replant them. Sparkling you, cleaner air. Good news should travel net quickly, so here you are.

Why Ebooks Are The Best Products To Sell On Ebay
I think that ebooks are the best products to sell on eBay. In this article I intend to convince you of the same. Ebay is the largest online marketplace in the world. It is said that one third of all internet users go to eBay at least once every month. That means enormous amounts of traffic. It is the best place to sell any items, but the best items to sell there are ebook
Let's start by listing some of the problems you would have starting an eBay business selling a physical product, say cameras for example. The first thing you have to do is find some cameras to sell. You have to track down a supplier. Then you have to negotiate a deal with the supplier hoping you can get them cheap enough to make a profit on.
The next thing you have to do is find the money to buy the cameras from the supplier. To get the price you wanted, you had to buy a large quantity, so that's going to cost you a lot of money to start with. The next problem is what to do with the cameras, now that you have them.
You have to find a place to store them. Since you had to buy a lot of cameras, and you have a small house, you may need to rent some storage space. You just spent some more money. The next thing you have to do is write your ads, take pictures of the cameras, (you might want to use one of the ones you bought) and then list the item
Your item sells, hooray! Now you have to get paid, then pack your item up, put postage on it and take it to the post office. Then you get to do it all over again, until you run out of cameras. Then you have to go back to the supplier, hope you can get another deal, spend more money and buy more camera
I think you get the picture. Sounds like a lot of work. Believe me it is. The reason, as I stated at the start of this article, that ebooks are the perfect item to sell on eBay is because they don't require you to do any of those task
You don't have to invest in inventory. If you do purchase ebooks to resell, you can usually find good sized collections that you can purchase at a relatively low cost. No storage, they take up no space. No taking pictures. Most ebooks for resale come with graphics to put in your ads.
No shipping. Ebooks are delivered electronically as a download. No buying more inventory. You can sell as many as you want and will never run out. And lastly, you can automate the whole system so you don't have to manually do much work, it practically runs itself.
Those are the reasons I believe ebooks are the perfect item for eBay. Are you convinced?

This new media is far more varied and more fascinating than the stale, old style of journalism. I don't just want to know about things from around my neighborhood, I want to know what's going on in the entire world.

All you have to do is write and the host website takes care of all the rest. Within days you will see money start showing up in your Google Adsense account and all you had to do has share your opinions. Now, no one says you will get rich doing this but the money is an extra bonus for doing what you like to do anways, writing about your opinion
So, go get yourself a pot of coffee and starting brainstorming some good ideas. Once you've decided on what to write about sign up for an account, starting making money and start having some fun!

The Quality Line or If Your Customer Doesn't Perceive It, Does It Matter?
You get what you pay for is the consumer's mantra. Common sense knows that if it costs less it is more likely of inferior quality.
Unfortunately quality is relative and subjective and even unwieldy. For that reason and common sense the value the customer puts on quality is where the quality line should be drawn.
Still it is not rocket science here a rather straightforward case of supply and demand. If the consumer cannot tell the difference in an improvement, why do it? No need to guess.
Often it is a simple matter of asking. Think for a minute...when was the last time you asked? Do you only ask when there is a complaint?
On some level every business must deal with quality. Every business strategy determines just where the quality line goes -- high, low or in-between.
Where this line is placed often determines the difference between success and failure. The key dynamic is profitability place the quality line at the wrong level and profitability goes down.
Customers may leave a business for poor quality but they can also go to a competitor for the same quality but better price. In one sense this is the easiest quality question to answer just ask your customers. Just ask what your customers want and what do they need.
Wants and needs change constantly so you must keep asking the question...even put it in your operating business plan.
Sometimes wants and needs are the same...but often they are not. As part of your ongoing dialogue it is important to know just how much your customer is willing to pay for quality. If your customer wants it but cannot afford it, you must figure this into your strategy.
The next step is to determine just where your current quality line is. Regardless of whether you have a conscious plan or an 'unconscious' plan, you do have a quality line.
Those businesses that have a clear idea of where that line should be can then try to bridge the gap. Simply by taking a hard look at where you are and where you should be creates awareness and focus.
One good exercise is to determine just where your competitor's put their quality line.
What results are they getting and how is their quality line perceived? Are they providing you with an opportunity to take some of their market share?
By looking into your industry's quality issues you can see that improved quality almost always involves increased costs.
Before adding costs make sure the increase in perceived benefit will be apparent. Since all costs go to your bottom line, make sure you are getting a good return on that investment always remembering that in a competitive environment there is little margin to be had.
One cost control plan is simply looking for all the ways to reduce costs. Another is to look at doing things that enhance quality at little or no cost.
Employee input is important to monitor especially with those employees that have direct customer contact. Do you have ways to reward employees who contribute to quality improvement? Do you have low cost ways of rewarding good performance?
The astute owner or astute employee is always on the 'prowl' for new quality improvement ideas. This includes looking for ways to apply quality concepts from different vertical as well as horizontal markets.
But since the rate of change often seems to be accelerating, what may be working today may not work very well tomorrow. So today's ownership and management must keep a sharp focus on shifting trends.
The competitive nature of business changes so rapidly there is no rest for the quality weary. By constantly working the balance between quality and costs the modern manager can improve the bottom line and become more competitive.
There seems to be no end to the drive for improvement and cost reductions. Where quality lies in the matrix is one of the biggest business decisions ownership and management make about the company's bottom line.

Why Ranking Above the Fold Matters
Search behavior ranges for each individual and the level of commitment and resolve a person exhibits when they embark on a search using a search engine is unique.
Although the way we search is unique, based on the keywords and phrases we use, certain elements remain intact, such as the innate desire to click the search results above the fold.
Search Behavior, Relevance, Impulse & Convenience
When you have to take time and scroll (below the fold), that alone can detract the focus, which is why so many individuals simply click what they can see on the page (so much for being #7,8,9 or 10).
Others who simply will not settle for less than the perfect, most relevant result, may sift though countless pages obsessively until they find the right combination of relevance in the title and snippet. This is a dying breed in contrast to the impulse based, attention challenged quick click consumer(s) who want to get right down to busines
When too many choices are presented this typically leads to information overload, so for most searchers, they opt for emotional triggers in conjunction with relevant results when deciding which result to click.
Despite all of these search behaviors, one thing is certain, that ranking above the fold (the top 5 positions) can make or break a business as far as conversion and click through rate
How Relative Search Positioning can Impact Visibility and Conversion
I recently performed an analysis for one of our clients (who ranks for extremely competitive one and two word combinations in their industry) and at this stage they are in the top 5 but not the number one position (yet).
After meticulously analyzing at the company that did occupy the number one position, their keywords are virtually the same (with our client), both have been hit by recesses in traffic due to the sales cycle of the industry (once again by almost virtually the same percentage) by one site receives 21,000 visitors and our clients site only received 7,500 in contrast.
Perplexed by this after spending hours researching both sites, it came down to the variable of search engine positioning. The point is, the top 10 is nice, but there is nothing like being number#1 (for a series of competitive terms) and ranking above the fold with a crisp informative title that screams click me at first glance.
As our conquest continues to raise the bar as well as build some links and authority for our client to raise their rankings higher, it just goes to show how click behavior can mean the difference between thousands of customers (and thousand of dollars) who are visiting the number one and two positions vs. your site that may be below the fold, less traffic equals less business equals less profit.
Things you can do to Increase Click Through Rates
Try using functional or emotional click triggers, keep titles focused by having one goal and reinforce it with benefit
Examples like Using Too Many Keywords in Titles Reduces Reader Retention or How you Can Increase your Click Through Rate is an example of a functional title, just make sure that the page delivers the goods when they get there.
Now had it said, how you can increase click through, relevance and conversion it would create a more relevant search for someone studying this topic but the downside, is it also introduced two more potential keywords, which could make the page less appealing to a larger audience by confusing the reader regarding what the page is about.
Instead of making assumptions about where your clicks originate, check your server logs or stats and see which pages had the most hits as well as how long the average person stayed on the page. This alone can tell you all you need to know about your readers, what they like and just how long they are ready to commit to your content.
Other Tips Include
1) Reducing the Noise and Clutter on the Page Remove stop words, make your points more succinct on the page, then tweak and republish. This should give your pages new life in search engine
Just make sure you have a backup just in case the spiders give it a thumbs down, so you can always upload the old page worst case.
2) Don't starve your pages for Links - Lack of links to the root folder or the page with targeted anchor text (link starvation). It's time of the page to hit the gym and bulk up a bit on inbound links, so don't let your site suffer from anorexia, loneliness or depression.
Make sure to introduce your pages to new social media sites regularly, if you have made your rounds at Digg, try Mixx, or BloggingZoom, Reddit, etc.
Each of these will at least provide an immediate authority link to augment a slumping ranking and can be just what the page needed to get some traffic, which can also give it a boost in the search engines as a result of a traffic deluge (traffic matters).
3) Narrow or Broaden your Range of Keywords - not every person is concerned with how many search results are returned, they just want the one that has the closest resemblance to what they are looking for so make sure that your titles, snippets and tags send the right message.
To raise your relevance try linking pages with related themes or titles, then search engines will provide a double listing if they are similar. One less competitor on the page is always nice. Or on the contrary, branch out, target the long tail of search (less competitive phrases that have higher conversion) by building more links with diverse anchor text.
4) Write More Effective Titles with Click Triggers - Titles that are written with the keyword and benefit in mind have a higher percentage of conversion, so put those 65 characters to good use (No more than 8 words) words in the title, so they don't get truncated with dots..or cut off in mid-word.
Conclusion
Not to be one sided, it's not always where you are on the page (above or below the fold) since there are different types of consumers who exhibit different search behaviors, but using a great benefit oriented call to action can also increase click through rates dramatically.
Try setting a mood through great content, an on-topic title and use a compelling meta description to outrank the competition, as far as on-page revisions you can make before you publish your work.
If authority is the goal (which it should be), try adding a few links to the mix as it can only hasten the authority process which is the real number one reason why pages rank in the top 3 positions, aside from page rank, links or other on or off page factors.

Learn To Publish A Book Yourself
Self-publishing is a technique that has been followed by writers from all walks of life, for many years. Even in the old days, when writing was not yet developed, there were a few writers who would approach the printing presses directly and try to sell their work. This was and is one of the best methods to get your work published.
Yes, it could get tiring and cumbersome, but it is more fruitful in the end, especially in monetary terms, as there are less chances of your getting cheated or ripped off this way. You can decide what you think is the best deal. Secondly, even before you finish writing your book, you must start spreading the word around, to let people know that you will be releasing it soon. This will help set the groundwork for your succes
When it comes to money matters, you have to be extra careful. By the time you subtract the cost of printing from the sale of each book, the net profits are yours to keep. Also, it is understandable that after taking months to write a book, you may be in a hurry to sell it. Just be careful, however, so you don't make any mistakes which will cost you heavily later. Also, you can get some lovely, attractive flyers made, with a summary of your story and all your contact details on it. Hand these out to friends, family, colleagues or at the mall.
Also, work on a great book cover, one that is not very expensive but looks good. An attractive book cover always looks great and people find it appealing. You could design it yourself if you have the artistic ability.
Also, a number of publishing houses will not agree to publish your book if you deal with controversial subjects, so in this case it is better to self-publish your book. You can print what you want and you do not have to be afraid about the publishing house editing out too much of your written matter. As a writer, this can sometimes be a sensitive matter as authors may disagree with editing changes made by publishers. After you took so long to get your book ready, it will be disappointing to see sections of it cut out by the publisher.
If you play it smart and not hasty, I assure you that you can do a great job of publishing your own book. All you have to do, Sir Writer, is to make the most of the resources available. Good luck.

Near Oxford lies one of the finest examples of a stately home in the UK. Blenheim Palace is as extravagant as it is vast and offers the perfect excuse to use a hire car for a day trip. Originally created for John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough it was in recognition of his outstanding military exploits Blenheim being the site of his greatest victory. The palace was also the birthplace of the other famous Churchill from history Winston.
Oxford contains a brilliant natural history museum with exhibits from around the world. With ample parking it is ideal if using a car hire service and will be both instructive and informative for anyone with a penchant for all things natural. Still being used by the university it holds lectures for zoology students while the exhibits make the perfect research resource.

The Ashmoleon has fine collections of artefacts from the ancient world up until the renaissance period as well as housing some fine art pieces.
