Treatment Options: Primary Pulmonary Hypertension
Currently, there are only two types of treatment for those individuals afflicted with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. One is specific drug medications, and the other is lung transplants. Let's take a look at both types of treatment option
There are a number of drugs which can help individuals suffering with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. Although it must be noted that not every drug may work, and may have side effects which may involve changing dosage or opting for other drugs until the proper one is found to work. If you have been diagnosed with PPH by your PPH specialist, he will no doubt perform a catheterization to determine which drugs are appropriate for you.
The following drugs are currently available and/or being further studied
* Prostacyclin is a drug which is administered intravenously.
* Treprostinil is a drug which is also given as a continuous infusion under the skin.
* Calcium blockers help to relax the muscles in the blood vessels.
* Anticoagulants help to prevent the blood from clotting.
* Diurectics help to remove excess fluid from body tissues.
* Oxygen can be used to enter the bloodstream.
* Remodulin is given as an injection and helps to regulate the size of the blood vessels. It is also helpful in alleviating symptoms caused by increased exercise.
* Flolan is given as an injection 24/7, and is similar to Remodulin in is efficacy.
* Tracleer helps to improve breathing and the ability to exercise.
* Iloprost can be inhaled through a nebulizer.
* Viagra improves the condition of PPH individuals by allowing the arteries to open.
* Revatio controls the narrowness or wideness of blood vessels in the lining of the lungs.
* Ambrisentan appears to be helpful for individuals with pulmonary arterial hypertension.
As with any drug, it is important for you and your PPH specialist to determine the efficacy of these drugs which drugs cause serious side effects and the treatment options associated with these drugs.
In the event the Primary Pulmonary Hypertension increases damage to a lung, the PPH specialist will probably discuss the second option, which is a lung transplant. It may be worthy to note that the first heart-lung transplant was performed in 1981. Many of these operations were performed for patients with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension.
However, the single lung transplant is the most common method of transplant used in cases of Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. This procedure involves the replacement of one lung either the right or left.
This procedure was first performed in 1983 in patients who had pulmonary fibrosis. There are also cases in which double lung transplants are also done to treat Primary Pulmonary Hypertension, but are less common than the single lung transplant for treatment of PPH.
While there are fewer complications with the single lung transplant than with the heart-lung transplant, the survival rate is 70 percent for one year. It has also been reported that the ability of the right ventricle to heal itself is noteworthy. In patients with lung transplants, both the structure and function of the right ventricle dramatically improve.
While there can be complications associated with lung transplants including rejection by the body of the transplanted organ, as well as infection, there are risks with any surgery that involves removal and transplant of major organs. Those who have had lung transplants are required to take medications for life in order to reduce their body's immune system's ability to reject the new organ.
Unfortunately, there is no treatment that can stop the progression of Primary Pulmonary Hypertension, however, the existing treatments can aid in slowing the disease's progression and improve an individual's quality of life. Treatment, therefore, is critical because without it, patients live less then five years.
This is why seeking a PPH specialist is so important.
While new studies on the treatment of Primary Pulmonary Hypertension are on-going, it is necessary to mention not only the cost of treatment, but the determining factor which caused PPH in the first place.
It is a well documented that Fen-Phen ultimately caused this disease, and litigation is on-going. The problem with those who have taken this weight suppressant is that the effects of the drug do not normally show up for ten years. Thus, you can imagine the anxiety of those individuals who have taken this drug, only to be informed it causes Primary Pulmonary Hypertension.
It is highly recommended if you do show signs of PPH, that you first contact a PPH specialist to determine the cause of your symptoms, and then contact a PPH attorney who can file a lawsuit on your behalf. While this disease may alter your life, the costs involved in treatment and possible surgery are incalculable.

Where to Market Property on the Internet and Why - Some Simple Rules
If you are an estate agent in Spain, then you will not need to be told about internet marketing because you probably get enquiries every day from companies telling you how they can provide leads through this portal or that. Spinning you with figures about how many hits their website is getting and their page 1 ranking for this key phrase or that keyword.
To the novice, this all sounds too good to be true and can be a little daunting. The jargon of the internet only becomes aware to those of us who use it, when you try explaining something to your grandparents and get a blank faced response of 'Yes Dear'. It's a humbling experience!
So lets explode a few myths, explain some jargon and give you, the estate agent, the tools required to ask the right questions, so that when you are spending your money on internet related exposure, you are getting the right exposure, in the correct market to attract the buyer clients you want.
I am using the Costa del Sol as an example, but is good for most property markets in Spain.
The first question to ask is where do your clients come from?
On the Costa del Sol the largest proportion of buyers come from the UK. So the market you should be targeting exposure in should be the UK Search Engines of the major companies. As Google owns about 70% of all the search traffic then we will focus on Google, but do not dismiss Yahoo and MSN who carry the majority of the rest. 30% is still a lot of traffic.
If you are searching on a computer in Spain and type in Google you will be sent to Google Espana, the Spanish version of Google. This is the most common mistake most people make. These results are NOT what people in the UK see when looking for Spanish Property. This is not the version of Google you will find if you type in Google from a computer in the UK. The results from any search will be different on Google Espana where the majority of searches are for words and phrases in Spanish.
To check the results on Google UK, you need to specify www . google . co. uk . This will give you the results that your buyers are looking at and is where you will need to be seen if you want to attract their business.
The second question is how does the potential website that is after your money rate in the scheme of things.
One of the best comparative measures is the Alexa ranking of a website. Alexa(dot)com ranks millions of websites and rates them in terms of worldwide traffic. The LOWER the alexa ranking figure, the more important the website is, in terms of the amount of visitors it receive
One note of caution. When you compare websites in terms of the amount of traffic they receive, be sure that the website is property only related. A website that acts as a directory for everything Spanish may have lots of traffic and a good alexa ranking, but if only 5% of that traffic is looking for property with 95% looking for the best place in Spain to buy a toothbrush, then.... well you get the point I am sure.
The other measure of traffic is the number of unique visitors a website receives. This is NOT the same as the number of hits a website receives. If fact I would be bold enough to say that anybody that tries to sell you something on the back of the number of hits their website receives should be dismissed immediately. Why?
Well, a hit on a website page counts the number of images exposed on a web page and is not a reflection of the number of people that visit that page.
A webpage may have 25 pictures or other images on it. Every time a person visits that page it will register as 1 unique visitor or 25 hits. People who sell on the back of their hits per day figures are trying to mislead you and blind you with zero
Unique visitors on the otherhand will give you a good indication of how many people are visiting any particular site. Add to this the average page views per visitor, a figure that shouls easily be available in this day and age of Google Analytics and you are well on the way to getting an understanding of which websites matter and which don't.

Card Making Ideas - Rubber Stamps
If you are new to card making and looking for card making ideas, rubber stamps are a perfect addition to your craft box. Rubber stamps can be used in a variety of ways so they are well worth investing in.
When you begin crafting or card making it is important that you do not rush out and buy everything you see, you will save a huge amount of money if you purchase a few items, some stamps and embossing powders until you discover some card making ideas or find what your special interest is whether it be animal stamps or flowers or what ever interests you.
Never by cheap stamps for your card making ideas, although some stamps are quite expensive they will produce a much better print and have a crisper look if they have been properly made.
Rubber stamps range in price, usually the larger or more detailed the more expensive it will be, I always consider how many times I can use a stamp for my card making ideas before I purchase one. Some of the larger stamps can also be repeatedly stamped and used for decoupage, which will create a completely different type of card.
If you do decide to use a rubber stamp for decoupage never cut into the embossed lines as this may cause the embossing powder to flake off and look unattractive.
I find the stamps that are mounted on a clear block are great for beginners as you can see exactly where you are stamping leaving less room for error.
The biggest tip I can give when using rubber stamps that you will emboss is to lightly brush the area of card you are going to stamp on with talc this will stop the embossing powder sticking to other parts of the card as well as the ink.
Always lay you stamp flat and take the inkpad to it rather than pushing the stamp into the inkpad, this will ensure the entire design on the stamp is evenly covered in the ink.
Remember once you have used the stamp it is important to clean the stamp and remove the entire ink residue. Depending on the type of in you have used for your card making ideas it may not be necessary to use expensive ink removers, I find an acid free baby wipe works just as well as some of the chemical solutions you can buy from craft shop
Always store your inkpads level and upside down this will prevent uneven ink distribution and keep the ink on the top of the pad ready for its next use.
Rubber-stamping can be used for all your card making ideas and also for scrap booking, however it is important that you use ink that is acid free and fade resistant to keep your project looking bright and effective.

Successful Podcasting For Dummies Like Me
Have a script but don't read from it. Listeners can tell both ways if you are just flying from the seat of your pants, or... all... you... do is speak like this all the way through your podcast. Both ways can be annoying.
Put a little bit of music or a related sound at the beginning and end of your podcast. Like parentheses, these just give the listener with audible cues that your podcast is starting and finishing.
Host a podcast, rather than simply letting it be a sounding board of one person renting on and on. The differences in voices will make for a more enjoyable experience for your listener.
Give headlines at the beginning of your podcast. Tell listeners to expect to hear these 3 things Number one, number two, number three. That way, they can follow along more easily.
Add value! Podcasts can be a good way to make money, which we will talk about in detail later, but people will only be drawn to them if they actually add value to their lives. Don't use your podcast as a vehicle to only move product or you will find you only need to make one podcast because no one will listen to any more.
Remember that podcasting is an audio format. There are many podcasts out there today that are simply recordings of seminars or trade shows or product unveilings that require in order to succeed.
Learn to speak clearly. Either hire a professional to help you or join a group like Toastmasters whose purpose is to help you speak more clearly. There are too many podcasts today whose speakers have not tried to improve their ability to be understood, and these podcast will not be around for very much longer.
Be excited about your topic!
Whether you are new to podcasting or a veteran this list will help improve your listener's experience.
Niche markets
The secret to successful podcasting, and to the future success of the industry lies in podcasting's ability to service a niche market. Most people can find general information readily available quickly.
What people want is in-depth information, instruction, and entertainment specific to their area of interest. It is easy for them to find a web site that will post all the baseball scores in their favorite division.
What they might be looking for however, is information, instruction, and entertainment related to their baseball team, which might not be readily available at the click of a mouse.
People who want to find out more about the industry, do not want to scour the Internet for a couple hours each day looking for analysis and information and top experts. Podcasting brings all of that to them.

Auction Your London Property
If you have ever used auction websites to get rid of your old clothes but what about using the web to auction your house? According to most auctioneers, and former property developers, we should all be doing it because not only does an online auction remove the pain of gazumping, it also ditches the estate agent
There are many new dedicated property auction websites that aim to combine the benefits of auction and private sales.
The only thing agents are really useful for are their databases of potential buyers. If you list your two-bedroom flat with an estate agent, you are paying them three per cent for them to give you, say, 15 people interested in buying a two-bed flat. But by listing your home on the web, buyers will find you. Estate agents try to make you believe they are working flat out to get the buyer or the seller the best deal. But if the buyer and the seller just got together and spoke directly they would be able to come to an agreement much quicker and not end up paying thousands of pounds commission.
What is more, often sellers could make several thousand pounds more because the price has not already been fixed with the buyer.
These auction sites work by sellers paying a one-off fee plus VAT to register their property. After specifying a hidden reserve price, the seller decides on a guide price, the advert goes live and an auction date is set for several weeks ahead. During this time potential buyers can arrange with the seller any viewings or any surveys or searches they may wish to carry out. Bidders can register free and bid on the auction day. To ensure bidders are genuine, the site requires them to provide several types of ID, including a scan of their passport. Bidders are also required to agree to terms and conditions, which are legally binding, to deter from dropping out of the purchase.
After the auction ends, the process is the same as a private sale and everything is handed over to the lawyer of the buyer and seller. After the buyer has won the auction he pays one per cent of the price to the solicitor of the seller to secure the property for six weeks. During this period the buyer can then arrange additional viewings or surveys if necessary. Once the auction is closed, the price is set. There is no gazumping or gazundering. If the buyer wants to pull out, he forfeits his one per cent deposit. For the seller, if the deal falls through, although it may be disappointing, they will pocket the deposit and start again.
But there are some pitfalls to selling your home yourself, warns Peter Bolton King, chief executive of the National Association of Estate Agents. People are not necessarily good sellers. There is more to selling a house than saying here is the bathroom, here is the kitchen. There is a knack to it. The idea of the online auction all looks very very good but there are a lot of questions sellers and buyers should ask. You are taking a big risk doing it yourself.

5 Guidelines To Choosing The Best Cat Urine Cleaning Products
Cat pee, or cat urine, if you will, may be the most terrible smell known to mankind. While the home remedies are useful in removing cat urine odor, some people (myself included) basically don't have the time or the patience for the crucial scrubbing.
A good cleaner will also have bacteria producing agents that will work constantly until the stain and cat urine smell is vanished.
The best thing is a super remover is very easy to find. But how do you choose the best? These will be just some of the questions that will pop into your head as soon as you think of the question.
How to choose a remover?
How to select a remover?
How to find a remover?
Well I am going to share with you these secrets whether your questions are the above three.
So for the pet owners who want to find the best cat urine cleaning product to remove those major cat urine stains just use these following 5 guideline
1. Customers must be satisfied with it for a long time already (i.e. 30 years).
If the business or product has been around for a long period time then you can feel assured that the product may be good. The logic behind this statement is that scam businesses come and go but a good business or product is around for the long term, that you can trust!
2. Must be non-toxic and feel safe for everyone including kids and pets
Whether you are a parent or not toxic chemicals is a concern. We place all ours outside in the shed and up high so they are out of the reach of little hands. This is for you, your pets and for the people you invite to come around to your house to be absolutely safe around your house.
3. Easy learning curve saving you time, effort and money!
Make sure the product is an easy one step process for its use! The last thing you need is to spend more time then necessary applying two or three treatments for total removal.
4. No temporary quick fix by using fragrance to mask the odor
Masking the odor may work temporarily, but that smell will be back after 2-3 hours. It is important to be able to smell the urine stain with out fragrances to tell if it was effectively removed totally. Removal will definitely be ineffective with stain still persisting even if there's no stain.
5. Unbeatable value, including free bonuses, with out any drop in quality.
Once you have found your pet stain cleaner that seems to be a high quality product. You must ask "what's in it for me!" Most people look for the little free gimmicks like a free carpet cleaner included or a free black light to find stains (you will need the right UV frequency for it to work). But what I am talking about are extras that helped you even more. For example, like more ways to prevent and stop your cat urine odor problems rather than cure it after it happened.
So if you are thinking of purchasing a cat urine cleaning product remember these 5 guidelines as you will reach the best solution faster. These are important pointers for anyone including pet owners who spend money to ask if that money will return more in favor of you in the future for helping you to solve your cat urine odor problems eventually.

Primary Pulmonary Hypertension Prognosis
According to research and studies which are on-going, there is reason to hope the prognosis for individuals with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension is variable. Individuals with PPH report they can go about their daily lives by incorporating changes to their lifestyles. Although the survival rate is longer for those without heart failure as well as for those who are diagnosed by a PPH doctor after the age of 40, the survival rate in general is approximately three year
The dialogue and research continue for those who are diagnosed with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. Unfortunately, the cause of this dreaded disease is still unknown. While Primary Pulmonary Hypertension is a well described but poorly understood illness, it is nonetheless a disease of the small muscular pulmonary arteries in which lesions involving cells obstruct flow.
Although there is current therapy using vasodilator drugs, especially calcium channel blockers, which have improved the quality of life in a minority of patients heart-lung transplantation is feasible for only a few. The study of vascular biology in the last several years is likely to provide insight into the cause and cure of Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. The areas involved include the cell biology of pulmonary vascular cells. According to researchers, the future looks bright for understanding and treating this difficult and ambiguous disease.
New therapeutic approaches in Primary Pulmonary Hypertension are targeting how to improve drug delivery. The results in patients who have been treated with epoprostenol suggest that Primary Pulmonary Hypertension can be reversed. This is one such drug that is being studied in depth.
Moreover, treatments which are now being developed include thromboxane-systhesis inhibitors and receptor antagonists, specific phosphodiesterase inhibitors, endothelin-receptor antagonists, and prostacyclin analogues. Cicaprost, which is an oral prostacyclin and is used in Japan, is being studied for its long term efficacy. Inhalation therapy with iloprost is being tested in a large study in Europe.
A new long-acting analogue of prostacyclin called 15AU81 is also under development. Another study revealed that improved survival with the drug Remodulin therapy rose as much as 68% for a 4 year survival rate.
Newer vasodilator agents and modes of administration continue to evolve and improve the quality of life of individuals suffering with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. For patients with severe and symptomatic pulmonary hypertension, unresponsive to medical therapy, lung transplantation continues to be an effective, life-saving therapy.
While treatment in individuals with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension is critical, the prognosis has been already defined. The problem, however, stems from the fact that the onset of symptoms is latent, albeit 10 years, and for those who do not show any symptoms, especially those individuals who took Fen-Phen as a weight loss supplement. There is no way to determine if one has been affected by the disease.
Although there is certainly enough evidence to support the assertion that Fen-Phen was the primary cause of Primary Pulmonary Hypertension, the difficulty in diagnosing it in an early stage by a PPH doctor is impossible.
Certainly one can notify their PPH doctor that they have been taking the drug Fen-Phen, and perhaps monitoring the individual on a regular basis can help in determining if PPH is present. Unfortunately, the only way to actually determine if the disease is present is through a series of tests and waiting it out.
The old adage, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" seems apropos at this time. In cases where Fen-Phen was consumed by the public, they can certainly contact a PPH lawyer to discuss litigation. Moreover, in those cases where pregnant moms took anti-depressants which resulted in a birth defect to their newborns, this too can be litigated by a PPH lawyer.
While current resources are available to any individual suffering with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension, it doesn't negate the fact that their long term prognosis, as of this moment, is not great. One would hope that all of the research that is on-going throughout the US and the world will come to find a drug or a cure at some point.
File a lawsuit with a PPH lawyer is important in several respects. It puts the pharmaceutical companies on notice that more studies and trials should be conducted to ensure the drugs they sell will not ultimately harm the user. While these companies continue to dole out drugs, for which side effects are ever present, people are suffering ill affects and are at the mercy of the doctors.
In the case of Primary Pulmonary Hypertension, consulting a PPH lawyer is not only vital, but should be a mandatory action taken by everyone who has ever been affected by a drug or an anti-depressant that has caused severe illness or loss of life.

Making the Most of Affiliate Programs
There are many things to consider before joining your first affiliate program. After all if you are going to be spending time promoting a company, you better make sure that it is the right one to suit your need
Firstly, you will want to check out the reputation of the company with which you are getting involved. One simple way to do this is to check out the online discussion forums. Is there a real person behind the affiliate program? If there is a big name behind this product, then simply Google their name to see what you come up with. They may have previous products or services. What are users experiences of this particular marketers past products?
I personally know of a handful of internet marketers whose products I will buy time and time again, simply because of the superior quality of their products and their tendency to over-deliver. So, from an affiliate marketers point of view, it makes perfect sense to sell the products of someone who has built a reputation online. Why? Simply because their offerings will be much easier to sell.
Another thing to check out for is the amount of commissions that is being offered by this particular merchant. For digital products it is not unusual to get between 50 and 75% of the sale. Digital products have very little overheads - so the merchant can afford to offer really high commissions. Any less than 30-40%, I wouldn't even bother promoting, unless it was a high priced item with a high conversion rate.
Many product owners will provide you with the clickthrough to sale ratio of their product or service. For instance, you may get a product that get 4% sales. That is, for every 100 visitors that visit the sales page, 4 actually go ahead to buy the product. This info is particularly useful if you are planning to use pay per click search engines to promote this product.
Do you have a control panel with which to check your stats and sales? This is usually a given with affiliate programs. A control panel encourages the affiliate to continue promoting the program as they can actually see how their promotions are performing. Therefore, it pays the merchant to ensure that there is a good selection of statistics available for those selling their product
This is only a small selection of questions that should be asked before entering into any affiliate agreement - but certainly the most important ones. There are affiliate services set up to ensure that you make the right decisions and present you with the best offers. So if the decision making process becomes to difficult there are always alternatives.

How to Boost Internet Sales
Earning money is the whole point of an online business and every webmaster with an ebusiness is looking for ways to boost their sales. Internet sales can be a tricky thing, but if you know what you are doing, you can ensure that your sales rates increase steadily instead of jumping up and down randomly. This article will provide some tips for improving your internet sale
- Avoid traffic exchanges and traffic boosting services. They might raise your hits level, but these are not customers, they are simply other webmasters trying to earn hits for their own websites or surfers who are receiving a tiny percentage of what you pay in order to get them to visit. This is not targeted traffic, which is what you need in order to sell.
- Offer high quality products and services. If you ignore your customers complaints or offer inferior quality products, you will not get repeat sales and your word of mouth advertising will be non-existent. By responding quickly to comments or complaints that your clients have, and giving them great products, you will boost your reputation in your niche and quickly gain not only repeat sales but new ones from the friends and associates of previous customer
- Start an affiliate program. There is nothing like a host of salespeople out there promoting your product to get things moving. While you should always do some promotion yourself, it really does help to have other people involved. And since you only pay for results, you will never be money out of pocket! PayDotCom and Clickbank offer easy to use services for setting up your own affiliate program.
- Write some articles. Article marketing is one of the most overlooked forms of boosting sales online. You are basically selling your product in the article, although it should be informative to everyone. For example, you write about how to choose the right web host, listing features to look for, etc. Then at the end of the article, you add a link to your web hosting service, which just happens to have all the features mentioned in the article! It is a pre-sale and can be extremely useful when used with discretion.
- Hold a contest. You can offer a grand prize to the winner. People get an entry into your draw or contest for every $10 they spend or every purchase they make, which encourages them to buy now instead of waiting and thinking about it.
- Build a reputation. If you have a good reputation as being an expert in your niche area, people will want to buy from you. They will trust you. You can build your reputation through ebooks, articles and offering high quality goods and information on your own website.
- Start an opt in list. By offering a weekly or monthly newsletter, you are reminding your customers that you are around. You can also use this to let people know that you have new products and bring them back to the site. This is an excellent way to keep in touch with previous customers and encourage repeat sale
By following the tips above, you should see results fairly quickly. You might not boost your sales through the roof immediately, but you will see a steady improvement and that is what counts in the long run. It just takes patience and some hard work.

Think You Have A Prostate Problem Or Prostate Cancer?
Many men, especially those later in life have made the decision with their doctors to simply watch and wait. About 80 percent of men who reach the age of 80 have prostate cancer. It's deadly but can be cured if it's caught early enough.
Like other cancers, the cause of prostate cancer is not known it appears to be more common in African American men and men with a family history of the disease. The prostate gland is located directly beneath the bladder and in front of the rectum. The male hormone testosterone contributes to the growth of cancer.
Because the symptoms can mimic other diseases or disorders, men who experience any of these symptoms should undergo a thorough work-up to determine the underlying cause of the symptoms. Additional symptoms that may be associated with this disease are bone pain or tenderness, and abdominal pain. There may be other symptoms not mentioned here.
Most prostate cancer symptoms, although associated with prostate cancer, are more likely to be connected to non-cancerous conditions. If cancer is caught at its earliest stages, most men will not experience any symptoms. One symptom is difficulty starting urination or holding back urine.
There are several potential downsides to PSA testing for example a high PSA does not always mean a patient has prostate cancer. CT scans may be done to see if the cancer has spread. What is called a free PSA may help tell the difference between BPH (benign prostatic hypertrophy), an enlargement of the prostate gland, and prostate cancer.
A urinalysis may indicate if there is blood in the urine. A prostate biopsy usually confirms the diagnosis. The prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test measures the PSA enzyme in your blood for abnormalitie
Recent improvements in surgical procedures have made complications occur less often. Medicines can be used to adjust the levels of testosterone called hormonal manipulation. Surgery is usually only recommended after thorough evaluation and discussion of all available treatment option
Prostate cancer that has spread (metastasized) may be treated conventionally with drugs to reduce testosterone levels, surgery to remove the testes, chemotherapy or nothing at all. Some drugs with numerous side effects are being used to treat advanced prostate cancer, blocking the production of testosterone, called chemical castration it has the same result as surgical removal of the testes. Side effects of chemotherapy drugs depend on which ones you're taking and how often and how long they're taken.
An oncology specialist will usually recommend treating with a single drug or a combination of drugs. Chemotherapy medications are often used to treat prostate cancers that are resistant to hormonal treatments. Anyone considering surgery should be aware of the benefits, risks and the extent of the procedure.
Other medications used for hormonal therapy, with side effects, include androgen-blocking agents, which prevent testosterone from attaching to prostate cells. What you can do now is begin to understand what exactly your treatment options are and where you're going to begin. Hormone manipulation is mainly used as a treatment to relieve symptoms in men whose cancer has spread.
In patients whose health makes the risk of surgery unacceptably high, radiation therapy is often the chosen conventional alternative. Whether radiation is as good as prostate removal is debatable and the decision about which to choose, if any, can be difficult.
Once diagnosed you may be want to join a support group whose members share their experiences and problems. As new research comes out adjust your treatment options accordingly. Consider articles such as this one, just a starting point where you can begin to learn about prostate cancer.

Art Schools - Making People Beautiful
Art schools offer programs that foster the intensive development of a creative mind. Yet they are not opening their doors to any and all dreaming poets. Such schools want students who demonstrate a real enthusiasm for their particular discipline.
How does a creative student demonstrate his or her enthusiasm for a particular type of artistry? Such a student needs to develop a portfolio. The student who wants to apply to an art school must assemble a collection of samples, samples that show his or her innovative and determined spirit.
The nature of those samples will depend on the type of program that the student hopes to enter. A student who wants to study fashion design, must have drawings of clothing that he or she has designed. A student who wants to study photography must have striking and compelling photographs within his or her portfolio. A student who wants to study music needs some audio equipment to share the contents of his or her portfolio.
Advances in technology have led to a sudden expansion of the programs at art schools. Such schools have added to traditional programs in dance, music, and design. The nature of those additions might best be viewed by examining the programs at CalArts.
CalArts is an arts school in Los Angeles County. Its development resulted from the introduction into that same region of the film industry. That introduction encouraged a close association between many different artists. CalArts seeks to guide creative young people who might take part in such an association.
CalArts has a large number of courses not found in all art schools. It has courses that focus on the design and production elements of filmmaking. Some of those courses teach students about stage lighting. Some teach the students about making scenery. Some courses introduce the students to specifics about costume design.
CalArts, like all art schools, offers its graduates help with finding that first job. Graduates who have learned some aspect of filmmaking might be encouraged to look for an internship opening. Any student who hesitates to become an intern might want to know the name of a past intern. Steven Speilburg began his career as an intern.
CalArts also steers graduates towards the establishment of contact with those who can help the graduates to expand their network of relations. Networking is an important way to find a job, especially after one has completed the coursework at one of the art schools.
Sometimes CalArts helps a graduate to become a personal assistant for a professional in the movie industry. Such an assistant is not a glorified "gopher". Such an assistant night enjoy an introduction to one of the unsung players in the filmmaking world.

The Beginnings Of Blogging
It is great that the phrase blog floats around the net day in and day out, but what if you have no idea what a blog really is? Is this going to be helpful to your web site? No, not really. Here we will offer the skinny on the phrase blog, and you can decide for yourself if it may or may not be useful in your web pages. This way you will not be wasting your time on something you may not need, and the energy can be put to something you find more useful for yourself.
The term blog refers to weblog and it is in every fashion not a commercial or professional site. It is more of the personal nature, for comment or web site material. Generally the most recent information on a blog is kept at the top of the page, as blogs are dated log formats. Often they will have commentary of other sites or links directing you to them. Many times the site is dictated by group links and the log is updated frequently.
The opinion is this is the very first weblog was back in 1993 it was the Mosaic. This was generally a compiling of links that where kind of disregarded. It took until 1998 for them to be a mere handful of these so called blogs in existence. The blogger all knew each other and were swapping the links between each other.
By the year 1999 this term blog was starting to pick up pace, and as a result became a phenomenon. Once it became free to the public, it really took off and was a pastime that was enjoyed by many. Web logs were hand coded by developers on the web before the software became available.
The use of html was the main coding for this program, and the web designers at the time were pretty much the only ones that knew it. Now that this new software is available to the general public, anyone is capable of making a blog.
The moment blogger was released in 1999 it became a huge success with the public. Now people are not restricted on what kind of weblog they make, fast-forward to the year 2000 and people are making as many as 300-350 new blogs daily. There is actually a directory for all these blogs, and it contains as many as 5,500 entries. This is now a craze with over 750,000 blog users this was not merely a passing trend obviously.
There are multiple tools these days for the people that are truly interested in blogging, this software can be found online and has become extremely popular. Two of the more popular blog programs are Blogger and Wordpress (both are free). Check out the craze for yourself, and see what you think of it. You may just enjoy it yourself.

How to Select a Nursing Home or an Assisted Living Home
Nursing home abuse becomes the three scariest words to an individual seeking an assisted living facility. Moving into an assisted living facility means giving up a certain amount of independence and freedom as well as leaving behind a home that is loved and filled with memories.
Nobody wants to leave their home and enter a nursing home. Facing the possibility of nursing home abuse makes the entire process an even scarier ordeal.
Selecting an assisted living facility based on reputation is a place to start. Talking with professionals such as geriatric nurses and doctors, physicians and even psychologists can help in determining whether or not a particular nursing home or assisted living facility carries a low risk of abuse.
Selecting the facility that is appropriate for the individual is also a preventative measure. Nursing homes are different from assisted living facilities, and often placing someone in an assisted living facility when they actual belong in a nursing home can set them up for a certain amount of abuse.
Assisted living staff does not meet the same training requirements in many states as staff and are more likely to lose their patience with someone who is unable to care at least partially for themselve
Nursing home abuse victims are often seen in hospitals, and often speaking with the nursing staff of the local hospital about a particular assisted living facility can give some indication about whether or not the facility of choice is a high or low risk for abuse.
Of course, searching public records online can also benefit, as lawsuits are public record. Thoroughly investigating a facility prior to undergoing placement is crucial in avoiding abuse.
Lawyers can also be a valuable reference, as they are typically well aware which nursing homes or assisted living facilities are receiving a high number of complaints and which ones are receiving no complaints at all.
Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that even with the greatest amount of due diligence that a loved one won't fall victim to nursing home abuse, as it is a horribly rampant problem in our society. In fact, America is rated one of the worst first world societies to grow old in. A general lack of respect for the elderly has contributed greatly to the downfall of our elder care.
We, as a society, are happy to warehouse the elderly simply so that we do not have to be reminded of what we may become as our youth escapes us. This is an unacceptable attitude considering these are the people who laid the foundation in one way or another for our very lives to be as they are.
Abuse is simply a statement of society's ill concern for the aging. Picking a nursing home or an assisted living facility that combats this general attitude is a huge plus in combating abuse.
The local office of the aging and social service programs can also report on the suitability of an assisted living facility. These governmental agencies are able to do this because they have the insider information that allows them to determine whether or not there are open or pending cases of nursing home abuse.
They can also testify whether any old cases of abuse were handled well internally. Nursing homes and assisted living facilities that have a good clean record usually come with a higher price tag. It's unfortunate that our elder care is based on assets and income, however, most assisted living facilities that are higher priced are more careful about their reputation.
It is not uncommon for people to find the need for an assisted living facility to be urgent in nature, and all too often people are willing to place their loved one in a less than par facility because it was the first available bed.
Without due diligence, you have no idea whether or not your loved one is at risk for falling victim to nursing home abuse. Choosing an assisted living facility based entirely on availability is often the one way to ensure that your loved one will be at a higher level of risk for nursing home abuse. Check out assisted living facilities carefully before signing any type of contractual agreement.

Knowing and Understanding Copyrights
Copyright infringement and patent infringement are not quite the same thing, although they are based on the same principle, don't steal what isn't yours. Copyright infringement refers to not stealing someone else artistic or intellectual property, such as writings or music while patent infringement refers to refraining from stealing an actual product that doesn't belong to you.
The U.S. Copyright Office is responsible for holding onto the records of everything that has been copyrighted to help ensure that an individual's artistic or intellectual property remains their own. However, it is not legally necessary to register a copyrighted material with the office.
It is sufficient to place the copyright icon in front of a copyright statement and is adequate protection for copyright laws. However, it is still more secure to register copyrighted material with the U.S. Copyright Office.
Copyright infringement is the theft of written, artistic, or intellectually produced material. Copyright infringement differs from patent infringement only in the actual material, which can make determining copyright infringement and patent infringement easier to detect.
In business, it is not so unheard of for advertisement media to be copied, thus becoming a copyright infringement. However, there is a difference between stealing the advertising media which creates the copyright infringement and stealing the icon or symbol used to create consumer recognition which is then a trademark violation.
Patented material, such as the product, is the only avenue which a patent infringement can occur. Why is this important? Because from conception to marketing, to advertising, all the way down to the jingle used in the television or radio campaign, stealing any part of the product, the advertising, the logo, the writing, the product enhancement, or any other related idea as it applies to any particular patented or copyrighted material can mean the end of a company.
These various rules can become confusing and even a little hard to wade through when there are numerous people working on any given project. Thus, enlisting the help of a Copyright attorney may be the only way to make sure all of the potential bases are covered.
A copyright attorney can be influential in preventing copyright infringement via advertisement or other written avenue, such as products that are written materials.
Bearing in mind that all printed materials are typically copyrighted, even if they have failed to register with the copyright office, a copyright attorney can still effectively guide a copy writer from accidentally becoming guilty of copyright infringement.
In most cases, any large company or media of copyrighted materials that are likely to be used beyond basic small press use will be registered with the copyright office, as registering with the U.S.
Copyright Office is a failsafe against copyright infringement. Thus, if a small time writer claims against a big company an explicit use of copyrighted material, but the large company registered with the Office, the small time writer can hold no claim even if they copyrighted their own material, simply because the large company registered with the Office.
While a copyright attorney is likely required to determine the exact definition of the laws as they apply to any given case, the likelihood of being held accountable for a copyright infringement that was not registered with the U.S. Copyright Office, and they granted a copyright, there really is no case, regardless of how talented the copyright attorney may be.
The bottom line is still pretty basic, despite the variation in copyright infringement and patent infringement. Hiring a patent or otherwise known as copyright attorney from the beginning of any substantial project is the best protection against being accused of any type of copyright infringement.
Registering a copyright with the copyright office protects the copyrighted material against theft. All of these simple and basic steps should be taken by any company who intends to market a product, whether they anticipate being a small company of local distribution or a large company with global potential.
By registering copyrighted material with them and by hiring a copyright attorney to oversee the basic laws are covered, any company with a marketing plan will know they are protected under copyright infringement laws as well as patent infringement laws.
Without the assistance of a copyright attorney or patent attorney, a business is playing with the potential of an accidental copyright infringement or patent infringement. It is much safer to cover all the bases and protect the company and the brainchild behind the fabulous ideas that can launch a company into the land of happy returns.

Podcasting For Profit
How can I understand podcasting?
If you were to ask someone on the street what podcasting is, most of them will not have any idea what you are talking about. They will ask if you said "broadcasting."
You might explain to them that it is a special audio file that you can listen to on your MP3 player. But even then you would not be doing it justice. Here are some other ways of understanding what podcasting i
That is one way to think of podcasting the information that you are interested in delivered to you, without the stuff you don't want. Some people have called podcasting TiVo radio.
Another way to think of podcasting is like a radio program that is only about your specific interests and when you click the link or synchronize your MP3 player with your computer, it gets downloaded to you automatically.
And a third way to think of podcasting is a targeted audio program for businesses to add value to their customers and prospects, and for organizations to pass information on to their user
However you think of podcasting, other people will still give you a funny look because it is still in its infancy. In fact, the term "podcasting" was only coined in 2004! It won't be long, though, and everyone will be talking about it.
How does it work?
Essentially, podcasting allows you to select the things you'd like to listen to, subscribe to them, have them downloaded to your computer or portable audio device, and listen to them when you want to. Once you've subscribed, they will update automatically for you, like a magazine you don't think about until the subscription arrives in your mailbox every month.
What is the advantage of a podcast over other types of broadcasting? Podcasts assimilate radio, portable CD players, and satellite radio, into one convenient format, and allow new uses not previously available.
So what is it that you can listen to? What kinds of podcasting are available? The answer to those questions is this everything you can possibly imagine! You will be amazed at the volume and variety of podcasts out there and the possibilities that exist.
Just as the Internet has allowed pretty much anybody to create visual files of information and entertainment, called web pages, podcasting has allowed virtually anybody to create audio files of information and entertainment.
While the technical details are not important here, all someone needs in order to become a podcaster is a computer and an Internet hook-up.
You don't even need a microphone to create your first podcast. (You may want to get one later, but you don't need one now).
In fact, if you have a telephone and can browse the Internet, you will be able to listen to podcasts and even create your own.
Who can podcast? Anyone can podcast! We'll go into much greater detail later about who might want to podcast, but generally speaking, there are several reasons why everyone would want to podcast
Organizations like churches and nonprofits will podcast to keep people up to date with what's going on, providing news, seminars and speeches, meeting transcriptions, etc.
Businesses will podcast to maintain their name in the marketplace, offer information on products or strategies, and position themselves as the expert in their industry.
Individuals will podcast if they have something to say to the world. Opinions, rants, and artistic offerings are all fair game in podcasting.
Podcasting formats are as varied as the types of podcasts available.
Some podcasts are like monologues where one person simply shares their ideas into a microphone for the listener to hear. Other podcasts are a dialogged between two or more people and may or may not follow format.
Some podcasts are unscripted while others seem to be very scripted. Podcasting contain music, interviews, and while audio podcasts are quite popular now, audio/video podcasts are slowly gaining popularity as well.

Nursing Home Abuse: Overmedication
Overmedicating patients is one of the most common forms of nursing home abuse today. Keeping patients in a drowsy and altered state allows the staff to be much less attentive and provides the patient with less care.
Overmedication in lawsuits is not always easy to prove, and many nursing home abuse lawyers recommend class action suits when it comes to overmedication abuse. This is because it is easier to prove a trend within a nursing home than it is to prove a single instance. However, if a class action lawsuit is not possible, a highly qualified lawyer can help create a much better scenario for the nursing home abuse victim.
Overmedication is not all that difficult to detect for family members who stay in close contact with the resident. Often the signs are clear, such as a sudden withdrawal from those around them, sleeping too much, the sense that they do not hear or respond when spoken to, and even the sudden onset of drooling, nose picking, or tongue smacking.
Medication that is used in overmedication abuse is often likely to cause dry mouth, nausea, drowsiness, fatigue, and clouded judgment. If overmedication is suspected, the best thing to do is to contact a lawyer and ask for advice.
In most cases, a lawsuit will be recommended to not only dispel the problem, but to compensate the victim for their suffering and attain ample funds to move them to a facility that doesn't overmedicate or perform other forms of abuse.
Lawsuits are setting a higher standard incare, and nursing home abuse lawyers are working diligently on behalf of victims that can not or are too afraid to speak up for themselves. Abuse goes undetected because victims feel trapped, they have nowhere else to go and are fearful of repercussions if they should tell someone about the abuse.
Filing a lawsuit on behalf of a victim can lead to repercussions, and it is always best to move the resident to another facility if it is at all possible while litigation begins. A lawyer can often assist in how to legally break contracts based on abuse suspicions even while the allegations of abuse are under investigation.
While nursing home abuse lawsuits are not easy to prove when overmedication is the abuse that is being alleged, if the resident is evaluated in a different facility and their medication is significantly altered, this is evidence of nursing home abuse.
Numerous physicians can review the resident's charts and meet with the victim to help determine if overmedication is present while the lawyer proceeds with a investigation and filing a lawsuit.
It is important that family members continue to act on behalf of their loved one in order to file a lawsuit, as it is unlikely that the victim will be able to handle the entire process, if any of it, on their own. Winning a lawsuit is a team effort, and your family member will be counting on you to help them throughout the entire process.
If the overmedication was severe, they may not even remember it very well if at all. If your loved one has other serious medical problems such as dementia or Alzheimer's they may not be able to testify on their own behalf.
Nursing home abuse lawyers are the backbone of breaking through abuse, and their services are desperately needed throughout the country. Of course, there is no guarantee that another nursing home won't be guilty of some form of abuse, but thankfully, lawyers are becoming educated not only of the standards of the law, but the standards of nursing homes in their area.
Lawyers become very familiar with the substandard nursing home, as more and more family members are stepping forward on behalf of their loved one to file lawsuits. This higher level of vigilance by family members is effectively raising the standard of care throughout the country.
If you suspect overmedication, or any other form of abuse, it is highly recommended that you contact a lawyer as soon as possible. Aside from filing a lawsuit, often simply contacting an attorney will entice the nursing home in question to raise their standard of care.

Speakers - You'll Be Remembered By What You Do, Not By What You Say
When called upon to speak to a group, it's more important to deliver on the audience's expectations than on yours. What does the audience want? What do you have to do to get invited back? Here is how three speakers on the same panel made three distinctly different impressions on their audience.
At a recent industry event, every day was packed with breakout sessions along various specialized subjects. Each session had three speakers and a moderator.
The moderator introduced each speaker with a shortened bio and called on each one of them in turn for a few minutes of comment
The agenda allowed each of the three experts fifteen minutes for their prepared statement - taking up about half of the ninety minutes allocated for the session.
The balance of the time was dedicated to Q&A from the audience. The Q&A was why we were all there. Most of us knew enough about the speakers already we wanted to ask them specific questions only they could answer authoritatively.
Every one of the concurrent sessions at the conference used this agenda format. Timing was critical because there was another meeting immediately following this one, in the same room.
Speaker number one was a crowd favorite before the presentation even began. She was already well known within the industry. Her engaging manner and her clever use of her Power Point slides got everyone's attention.
She is somewhat of an industry personality and certainly an expert in her field, someone we would all like to question in depth.
Mounted on the lectern where each speaker, the rest of the panel, and those in the press area could see it, was a clever little stop light timing device.
The light moved from green to amber and then to red. When she saw the red light she made a sheepish smile toward the others on the panel and kept right on talking.
In my mind she went from engaging to self-absorbed at that moment. The longer she spoke the more restless the other panel members and the moderator became.
When she hit the twenty-minute mark some people from the back of the room left. By the time she hit thirty minutes there was a chill in the air - everyone was tense, except her.
The second speaker was very gracious. He is an industry leader who was there to give back and if his Power Point presentation had worked I think he would have gotten the meeting back on schedule.
However that was not to be. After several awkward attempts he abandoned the Power Point and had his assistant pass out printouts of the slides to about half the room.
In the end he promised to email the slides to everyone in the group and sat down clearly distracted by the mess he found himself in. He won't agree to help out the association with a presentation again any time soon. His time was twenty minutes!
In you want a riot on your hands don't live up to the expectations of the group. In this case that meant a forty-five minute questions and answers session.
With that in mind the third speaker was out of time before he got up to speak.
What he did turned a fiasco into one of the best sessions of the week.
After brief introduction he turned to the moderator and the audience he said, "Well enough about me, let's take some questions."
Instead of turning the mike back to the moderator he handled the entire Q&A phase. He wove some of his prepared comments into the questions asked by the audience and kept a tight rein on speaker number one so she could not ramble on.
His masterful style increased our opinion of his company.
For those few minutes he was the face of a very very large company. When I think of that company now I see how he confidently dealt with a difficult situation, meeting our expectations when we thought all was lost. No matter how many facts from his original planned speech we missed - we more than made up for them in the way we perceive his company.
He got most of his material into the discussion.
We weren't there for more facts and figures. We were there to get to know the speakers better. When he got up there and immediately went into the Q&A there was a collective sigh and a feeling that if you have a problem, he and his company can handle it - no matter what.
He came across as being very approachable.
When he smiled at the audience and said what he said he knew we knew that he was our friend. Now we had something in common. We could call him up and we'd laugh about the session as only people who have shared the same experience can.
The only thing an audience will remember two days after your speech is whether they liked you or not. That's it. It has been a month and his is the only name I remember from that session.
And if you want to be invited back - in addition to meeting the general expectations of the audience you have to consistently meet the number one criteria of the folks running the meeting.
They expect you to be good enough or they would not have invited you in the first place, so if whatever you say is OK with the audience it's fine with them.
However, what you must do if you are to please the meeting planner is end your speech on time.
Every successful meeting is a complex web of interlocking activities. Going over your time by a few minutes may seem like a small matter to you - but it could simply be the first in a string of dominos that result in a meeting agenda gone bad.

6 Vital Career Factors You Must Consider
When we think of a dream job, the first thing that comes to mind are those cliched dream jobs involving tons of money and not a lot of work. The reality of a dream job is very different, though.
You can have all the money in the world and still be unhappy, and people who don't work often end up finding all kinds of "jobs" to keep themselves busy.
A great career is about many things that combine into something that leaves you feeling happy and good about what you do. Let's take a look at what a dream job really is
Something Interesting
A dream job is one that you find interesting and that you like doing. In fact, those who are the happiest with their careers are individuals who have found a job that has something to do with what they love doing in their free time too.
Looking at your hobbies or your passions in life can be a good indicator of the type of job you'd be happiest in. And people are happiest being who they really are deep down, at work and at play.
There's A Challenge
People hate being bored, and there is nothing more boring than having to work at the same old routine over and over. A little bit of challenge is a good thing to motivate people. Without challenge, there isn't any sense of accomplishment or victory, and that's a big motivation killer.
Remember that great story that Stephen Covey tells in 'The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People"? About the woman who's life's ambition is to build a wonderful house. And it takes years to achieve. The day it's finished, she sits in her new lounge and cries. It wasn't about getting the house. It was the challenge.
Fulfilment Is Yours
Making a difference matters. People need to know that they made a difference somewhere, that they aren't disposable, and that they accomplish things that improve, change, or help.
From construction worker to salesperson to doctor, every great job leaves a person feeling like they made a difference in the project and its ultimate completion. Fulfillment makes us feel important, and that's a good thing. It's what we are here for.
Fits Like A Glove
The job you need is one that fits well with your personality. A job that doesn't match who you are is going to be one that fits as well as a shoe with a pebble inside, constantly irritating. While we all try to choose jobs that pay well, one of the biggest factors of happiness and career success is a job that fits our personality and uses our best strength
If you're math minded and quiet, a social sales job might not be the best for you. If you're outgoing and like stimulation, an office job in a cubicle will drag you down. Feel like that? Take it as a sign a message that it's time to move on.
Something With Potential
Having room to grow and move up the ladder in your job is important. A dream job is one that allows you the chance to expand on your potential and work into positions where you can accomplish more.
If you enter a job that isn't going to go anywhere, you'll end up stagnating after you learn the routine, and your job satisfaction will plunge, leaving you unhappy.
Something Secure Enough
Job security is a big factor in comfort level, for some. If you have everything else you want in a dream job, but you're constantly on edge wondering whether your position is safe, stress levels rise and you'll be unhappy.
A dream job offers the security to try new things, to explore, to use your talents, and to know that next week, your job will still be there, and that you'll still be working.
As Tim Gallwey says in "The Inner Game of Work",
'Too much challenge, Not enough safety = Stress'
'Too little challenge, Too much safety = Boredom
What makes up a dream job is particular to each person and these six factors figure highly in what will create a job situation you can be happy with.
Take a look at the job you have now, and see where it ranks in terms of security, growth, interest, fulfillment and challenge. If the result is that your job doesn't add up to a good mark, then maybe it's time for a change, one that will leave you happy and satisfied for a long, long time.
A 'dream job' indeed. A magical career ahead!

Nursing Home Abuse: Physical Abuse
There is absolutely no excuse for nursing home abuse. Any type of physical abuse inside a nursing home is completely despicable and requires immediate action by any family member or family friend who can help the victim.
The fastest way to resolve an abuse suspicion is by hiring a high quality, competent lawyer. Lawsuits hold these places accountable for the damage they cause, and there's no reason that anyone should allow abuse to happen.
Suspecting abuse is grounds for reporting and hiring a lawyer. A nursing home abuse lawyer can give solid and well founded advice for protecting the victim as well as pursuing a nursing home lawsuit.
Bruises, broken bones, unclean residents, and withdrawn, depressed residents are all signs of abuse. Even just the suspicion of abuse should result in a consultation with a nursing home abuse lawyer, as it can often be disguised as resident clumsiness, or other reasonable explanations.
Reasonable explanations are not always as reasonable as they seem, especially when the resident has a family who stays involved in their care. Residents without involved family members tend to be the victims of abuse before residents with active family visits.
Nursing home lawsuits can still be filed on behalf of those without active family members, although it typically means the victim needs to be willing to testify on at least some level. Any suspicion of abuse, whether it relates directly to a family member or not, should be reported.
Too often, people are afraid to get involved and interfere, even when they know deep down that they should. It's just like child abuse, it's everyone's responsibility to call for help when someone is helpless. A lawyer can discreetly meet with a resident who is being abused but has no family on their behalf. A simple phone call to a lawyer is really all it take
Physical abuse in a nursing home is usually obvious after only a few visits. There are only so many excuses the staff and administration can come up with for bumps, bruises, marks, broken bones, and burns before someone realizes that there is abuse written all over every bruise.
It takes so little to help the victim of abuse, even from the inside. A concerned staff member or family friend can place a phone call as easily as anyone else, and in most cases the calls can be confidential.
However, lawsuits do go much easier when there are witness testimonies and people aren't so afraid to get involved. There really isn't anything to be lost by getting involved in a lawsuit that is any worse than what the victim of abuse has already lost. Abuse strips away a sense of safety, dignity, the feeling of being cared for and even a sense of humanization.
Lawsuits do not have to be the only answer for an abuse victim, a lawyer can certainly help determine other avenues, however a lawsuit will typically ascertain the funds needed to remove the victim from the premises and locate safer, alternative care.
Caring for a victim takes a very gentle hand, anyone can imagine the fear of the unknown an abuse victim must face. That is why lawyers work so tirelessly and so earnestly to fight for the victim's rights and compensation. Compensation for abuse can almost always guarantee the victim more choices than they had previously.
A high quality lawyer can file a lawsuit without jeopardizing the health and safety of the abuse victim. However, someone has to be the first to step forward and report their suspicions of abuse, regardless of whether or not they are related to the victim.
It takes a village to raise a child. It takes a community to care for the elderly. It takes just a little bit of selflessness and courage to report abuse. Ignoring abuse is almost as bad as committing it, and turning a cold shoulder to a victim is simply wrong. There is no excuse for abuse, and there is no excuse for ignoring abuse.

Defending Trademark Infringement
Patent infringement is considered the theft of an invention, idea, or enhancement that has been filed with the U.S. Patent Office, with a given time frame of acceptable overlap of one year.
The U.S. Patent Office is responsible for determining whether or not a patent can be granted based on the information given by the applicant. Trademark infringement is the use of a company's or individual's registered trademark, a trademark being a sign, symbol, or emblem used to distinguish one company's or individual's trademark from another, such as RCA uses a specific dog in a specific position as their trademark.
Any company wishing to use a dog as their trademark can do so without being guilty of a trademark infringement provided they use a different type of dog as their trademark.
Trademark infringement is as equally serious as patent infringement. Trademarks are a recognizable symbol, which companies are hopeful that the general public will associate with quality and purchase the product based on recognition.
Trademark infringement is profit infringement, and if trademark infringement is suspected it is within a company's or individual's best interest to contact a trademark lawyer. A trademark lawyer can help launch an investigation and determine whether or not a trademark infringement has occurred.
By enlisting the assistance of a trademark lawyer, the company or individual is then able to have legal backing should they choose to make a legal claim of trademark infringement. A trademark lawyer can naturally do the same thing for a patent infringement.
The difference between a patent infringement and a trademark infringement is the nature of the idea that is copied. A patent infringement refers to the copying or theft of an actual invention while a trademark infringement refers to the copying or theft of an icon, symbol, or even a special set of lettering. A trademark lawyer can assist a company or individual with either case.
The U.S. Patent Office is responsible for keeping and maintaining the records of all patents and trademarks, which is a searchable database of registered patents and trademarks.
In order to obtain a legal basis for patent infringement or trademark infringement, the U.S. Patent Office must have a record of the original filing of the patent or trademark. This is not so difficult to obtain through the U.S. Patent Office, especially with the development of the internet and searchable software.
These tools have both removed any valid excuse of ignorance for trademark infringement or patent infringement while simultaneously enhancing an inventor's ability to search out trademark infringements and patent infringements. It doesn't take a trademark lawyer to search the database, as this is something anyone can easily do with a little time and energy, and an internet connection.
Once the original patent or trademark registration is determined, a trademark lawyer can then follow a few basic steps to determine the actuality of a patent infringement or trademark infringement.
This means that the trademark lawyer will likely write a certified letter to the company stating the fact that the company is in violation of trademark infringement laws or patent infringement laws, and they are to immediately cease and desist the current use of either the trademark or the patent.
The company then has a choice to make, whether they will immediately abide by the warning letter or they may choose to fight the notion that they are guilty of any type of trademark infringement or patent infringement.
They as well will turn to the U.S. Patent Office to determine if they are in error, or if the inventor or trademarked company is mistaken in their assertion. Should their U.S. Patent Office search prove to them that they are in violation of trademark infringement laws or patent infringement laws, and they do not immediately cease and desist, the trademark lawyer will undoubtedly recommend filing a lawsuit.
The trademark lawyer may very well recommend filing a lawsuit regardless of the company's further actions, as this is likely to prompt a settlement offer for any marketing or promotion damage that may have been done while the offending company was in violation of trademark infringement laws or patent infringement law
Trademark infringement and patent infringement can be complicated in proving every detail, particularly if the infringement was in fact intentional or accidental. However, while intent does play a role in determining the outcome of a lawsuit, ignorance does not excuse the action. There should be a decline in trademark infringement and patent infringement cases as the U.S.
Patent Office records are now easier than ever to search, however it seems as though cases of infringement are climbing rather than declining.

Pericardial Mesothelioma Surgical Procedures
Pericardial Mesothelioma is a cancer of the lining of the heart derived from exposure to asbestos. Most patients who are diagnosed with pericardial mesothelioma have a grim prognosis and few treatment options. Treatment options for pericardial mesothelioma include radiation therapies, physical therapy, chemotherapy and surgical procedures such as pericardiocentesis or extrapleural pneumonectomy.
Each procedure has its own set of risks and benefits for a patient who has been diagnosed with pericardial mesothelioma. A pericardiocentesis is a procedure that relieves fluid pressure by extracting the fluid from the protective lining around the lungs.
A needle is used to extract the fluid around the heart by inserting it into the chest cavity and puncturing the protective lining that is affected by pericardial mesothelioma. A pericardiocentesis is a mid range procedure. While a pericardiocentesis is not considered aggressive, it comes with a few risks, including infection, but is known to effectively reduce discomfort around the heart.
Of course, it's important for a patient with pericardial mesothelioma to remember that a pericardiocentesis comes with the risk of complications, as there is a needle creating suction right next to the heart. This procedure is not one that can often be done by a general surgeon, and most patients seek out a specialist for this type of procedure.
While a pericardiocentesis does have a few risks, it is the less aggressive surgical choice for a patient with pericardial mesothelioma. An extrapleural pneumonectomy is a procedure that is considered much more aggressive, and often applies to healthier candidates as it does take a toll on the body.
An extrapleural pneumonectomy is used when a pericardiocentesis is not effective at relieving chest discomfort. An extrapleural pneumonectomy is a procedure where the affected pleura, pericardium, diaphragm, and lung are removed from the side where the cancer is attacking.
An extrapleural pneumonectomy is considered a very aggressive procedure that is used in an effort to remove the cancer to the fullest extent possible in hopes of providing the patient with a chance at survival.
While an extrapleural pneumonectomy has been performed with mixed results, aggressive doctors tend to favor the procedure, as it provides the highest chance of success in patients who found their pericardial mesothelioma in its early stages.
A procedure as aggressive as an extrapleural pneumonectomy is destined to come with a high likelihood of risks. Infection, internal bleeding, and the inability to heal from such a drastic surgery are just a few.
Whether a patient with pericardial mesothelioma opts for an extrapleural pneumonectomy or a pericardiocentesis, these procedures are not considered a cure for pericardial mesothelioma.
Mesothelioma is unfortunately considered a fatal disease, and while an extrapleural pneumonectomy has a chance at allowing a patient to fully recover, it is in no way a guarantee of survival.
Most physicians consider pericardiocentesis and extrapleural pneumonectomy to be procedures that are designed to alleviate discomfort and allow the patient to live as pain free as possible.
Radiation therapy and chemotherapy are typically prescribed along with either a pericardiocentesis or an extrapleural pneumonectomy. These procedures are not considered a replacement for other therapies in the process of trying to alleviate patient discomfort.
As a patient of pericardial mesothelioma, choices are often made that either hope for a cure while enduring great pain or a choice is made to strive for comfort as much as possible while attempting to live a life as pain free as possible while waiting for the inevitable.
These are not choices that anyone wishes to have to make. Mesothelioma of any sort is a nasty, ugly disease. Whether a patient opts for an extrapleural pneumonectomy, a pericardiocentesis, or radiation and chemotherapy alone, the prognosis is not good.
Very few people survive pericardial mesothelioma. Patients with early diagnosis have the best chance, although few people think about asbestos exposure they may or may not have had 30 to 40 years ago, and thus are typically not diagnosed until they experience symptoms.
By the time symptoms occur, it is usually well beyond the stages that a pericardiocentesis or an extrapleural pneumonectomy can do much more than make the patient feel a bit more comfortable.
It is unfortunate that the negligent management of companies has left the three thousand annually diagnosed mesothelioma victims with health that can not be regained. It is a desperate call to aid for those who have suffered needlessly so that a company or a governmental agency could save a few dollars. Mesothelioma is a sad mark on the concept of American business.

Peritoneal Mesothelioma Surgical Procedures
Peritoneal Mesothelioma is considerably rare, accounting for only between 10% and 20% of all Mesothelioma cases. Peritoneal Mesothelioma is a cancer caused by asbestos exposure that affects the abdominal tissue, more specifically the lining in the abdominal wall. Peritoneal Mesothelioma is most often deadly, although treatment options are becoming increasingly more sophisticated and the survival rate is ever so slowly creeping upward.
Surgical options for a patient that has been diagnosed with peritoneal mesothelioma include a procedure known as paracentesis and a procedure called peritonectomy. A paracentesis is a procedure that removes the fluid build up from between the lining of the abdominal cavity and the abdomen.
A paracentesis is usually opted for prior to a peritonectomy. A paracentesis may relieve the fluid pressure for awhile, although some patients get lucky and the fluid does not return to the extent of having to perform the procedure again. However, if a paracentesis is done and the fluid quickly returns, a peritonectomy is typically recommended. This means the removal of the abdominal wall lining, which will prevent future build up of fluid permanently.
Because surgical procedures are stressful even on a healthy body, some patients opt for a peritonectomy immediately and skip the more conservative procedure, the paracentesis. This means one surgery that is guaranteed to prevent the future build up of fluid, however there are risk factors with a peritonectomy.
The risk of infection in the post operative period is quite high, as the body is already in a weakened state from the cancer. Most physicians will perform a peritonectomy with the intention of making the patient more comfortable, as most cases of peritoneal mesothelioma are diagnosed well past the point that the cancer can be surgically removed. A paracentesis or a peritonectomy are purely for the sake of making the patient comfortable.
However, some patients opt for procedures like a paracentesis or a peritonectomy in the hopes of gaining a chance on the slim possibility of a cure. Peritoneal mesothelioma has a very low survival rate, and patients find themselves in the unenviable position of having to choose between procedures that will make them most comfortable and procedures that may extend their life and offer them a small chance at being cured. This of course is a very difficult place to be after being diagnosed with peritoneal mesothelioma.
The physician that a patient chooses after being diagnosed with peritoneal mesothelioma is likely to direct their course of treatment. Some physicians opt for surgical procedures like a paracentesis or a peritonectomy while other physicians do not feel the trade off and side effects of surgery are optimal in the face of a disease like peritoneal mesothelioma.
Treatment options such as a paracentesis or a peritonectomy are intrusive procedures that will weaken the body even more. However, a paracentesis or a peritonectomy often provide relief from the painful pressure of fluid build up that prevents patients with peritoneal mesothelioma from being able to participate in life. Each case is different and each case can only be evaluated on its individual merits.
There is of course no easy answer, and a patient with peritoneal mesothelioma will require a great amount of care to retain any amount of quality of life, and the decisions regarding surgical procedures such as paracentesis and peritonectomy are not easy decisions to make. Peritoneal mesothelioma patients face many decisions along the way, and unfortunately none of them ultimately leads to a cure.
Patients of peritoneal mesothelioma do fair better when they enter cancer programs that have a mesothelioma specialty as well as an entire approach to medicine, including nutritional therapies and emotional therapies.
There are no easy answers when faced with the decision to have a paracentesis performed or the option of peritonectomy, or the alternative option of foregoing surgical procedures altogether. Of course, the stronger and more informed a peritoneal mesothelioma patient's support system, the more equipped he or she will be to make these difficult decision
Unfortunately, treatment for peritoneal mesothelioma, including procedures such as peritonectomies and paracentesis are relatively expensive, and factoring the cost of the more conservative approaches to treating this form of cancer such as radiation, chemotherapy, and other therapies, treating peritoneal mesothelioma can be outrageous even with medical insurance.
There is help for those who need it, and patients and family members can be proactive in finding the help they need and deserve. This may mean asking a lot of questions until the right person for the question is found, but there is no reason for a victim of peritoneal mesothelioma or their family members to have to face this disease alone.

Pleural Mesothelioma Surgical Procedures
It can be terrifying to be diagnosed with Mesothelioma. It can be more terrifying to understand that the physician is recommending a surgical procedure. Despite the fact that the physician took the time to explain the process, shock, discomfort, and fear typically prevents a patient from fully understanding what has been explained to them. Mesothelioma patients have a lot to worry about, just as all cancer victims do, and understanding upcoming or pending surgical procedures is an important step in claiming back health.
A thoracentesis is a procedure where the fluid between the lining of the lungs and the wall of the chest is removed. A thoracentesis is often recommended when the patient has excessive fluid in the pleura, and inflammation from that fluid known as pleural effusion, is causing aggrevation or serious discomfort.
While a thoracentesis is not considered by physicians to be a terribly difficult procedure, most patients feel any procedure at all is a big deal. It is not uncommon for patients to seek out a second opinion when a surgical procedure like a thoracentesis is recommended.
Of course, a thoracentesis isn't the only possible recommended surgical procedure that someone with Mesothelioma may encounter. Procedures such as pleurodesis, pneumonectomy, and pleurectomy may be suggested as well.
A pleurodesis is a procedure which the space between the lining of the lungs and the lungs (also known as the pleural space) are fused together to prevent the build up of fluid which can cause pleural effusion.
Many patients opt for a pleurodesis over a thoracentesis if they have the choice. Sometimes, although rarely, a thoracentesis and a pleurodesis are done simultaneously.
A pleurectomy is the removal of the pleura altogether, which is typically a procedure saved for cases without other options. Prior to a pleurectomy, a thoracentesis or a pleurodesis is attempted first to alleviate the discomfort and the difficulties with breathing. A pleurectomy, as well as a pneumonectomy, are considered last resort procedure
A pneumonectomy is the removal of at least part of the lung, if not all of the lung. Pneumonectomies are done only when there is no other alternative. It is always better to try to perform procedures that will save the lung and the lining, such as thoracentesis or pleurodesis, than it is to perform procedures that remove part or all of the body's tissues, such as pleurectomy or pneumonectomy.
If a surgeon wishes to perform a pneumonectomy or a pleurectomy without first attempting a thoracentesis or a pleurodesis, a second opinion is highly recommended. Either the surgeon is jumping the gun and being a bit too aggressive, or perhaps the lungs are really that bad and a second surgeon concurs that the removal of the lungs or the lining is in the best interest of the patient. Only a second opinion will determine that. It is always best to go outside the practice to request a second opinion.
Despite the poor prognosis associated with Mesothelioma, patients who have undergone either thoracentesis, pleurodesis, pneumonectomy, or a pleurectomy have reported a much higher quality of life and an easier state of breathing after these procedures.
Having any procedure done can be scary and can present an entire set of questions that can only be answered through experience. However, the better the relationship with the physician, the better the patient feels about going through with any of the 4 basic procedure
Even after a drastic procedure such as a pleurectomy or a pneumonectomy, patients still need all around high quality care, including the care of their emotional outlook on life. Any of these procedures may help, but there is a significant amount of after care that the patient will definitely need support through.
Any type of treatment that alters the body significantly is going to have a certain amount of pain, even if the results are better than they were before. Pain is part of undergoing surgery, and for many patients, pain is something they are already all too familiar with. Emotional support can make a difference in the life of a patient after a painful surgical procedure.
A pleurectomy and a pneumonectomy require life long aftercare in most cases. This does not necessarily mean that the patient will have no quality of life, but that aftercare of some sort will be required all the way throughout the remainder of their life. Patients requiring long term after care may need residential care in order to recover. Residential care does not need to be a permanent place of living.

Nursing Home Abuse: Verbal Abuse
Verbal abuse in a nursing home is abuse, no matter which way you want to look at it. Yelling, name calling, degrading comments, and derogatory remarks all constitute abuse. There is no denying that people, whether elderly or young, can be frustrating, and we all want to yell at people from time to time. However, it's detrimental to the sense of safety of others, and thus it classifies as nursing home abuse.
A nursing home lawsuit can be filed with the aid of a lawyer in the event of verbal abuse, whether it is witnessed or reported. Residents who have accidents or who are feisty and cantankerous are most likely to suffer from verbal abuse.
Regardless of a resident's behavior, there is no excuse for verbally lashing out. Nobody wants to spend their time in a nursing home. We are all secretly fearful that it may one day happen to us. Would we want to be yelled at for venting our frustrations? Of course not.
Verbal abuse can be just as detrimental as physical abuse. Signs of verbal abuse include a heightened sense of sensitivity, fear, pleading with loved ones not to complain about conditions or incidents, and sudden sullen and withdrawn behaviors. Verbal abuse, even if it is simply a suspicion, should be reported equally as fast as physical abuse.
If you are by chance a witness to verbal abuse, write down exactly what you heard said and who said it, and call a nursing home abuse lawyer right away. They can guide you through the next steps and the case will most likely lead to a lawsuit. Verbal abuse dose not have to happen regularly to be reported.
If you witnessed a staff member break the arm of an elderly resident, would you hesitate to call someone for help? Why then would it be any different with verbal abuse? A nursing home lawsuit may still be just as necessary to help the victim move into a better facility. There is no behavior of a frustrated and angry elderly individual that warrants any type of abusive response from a well trained staff.
These are simple concepts, however it is remarkable how often people do not file reports about verbal abuse. Verbal nursing home abuse is still illegal and isn't any better than pushing an old woman out of the way.
A lawyer is a good representative of fair and even guidance in the event of verbal abuse. Calling a nursing home abuse lawyer can often open up avenues and remedies and legal options that you didn't even realize the victim would have.
That is why they recommend calling a lawyer right away. It is amazing the resources that are out there that victims of abuse are completely unaware of, and family members need to be able to step up on behalf of their loved ones. Even if you witnessed verbal nursing home abuse with another resident, do you honestly think that your loved one isn't privy to the same treatment?
Even if they won't admit it to you, they may very well be more comfortable telling the tales of verbal abuse to a competent and sensitive lawyer or counselor, as residents of nursing homes often feel they are already too much trouble.
However, sometimes presented with a caring lawyer or counselor, they are able to open up honestly. With their admission, a lawsuit can be filed and the facility can be held accountable for their actions. Often a lawsuit is the only thing that can hold a facility accountable for its actions. Threats are empty, as they have heard them all before. Legal action speaks much more loudly.
It can be very difficult for the victim of verbal nursing home abuse to recognize that they are the victim of abuse and that they have legal rights. A nursing home abuse lawyer can help explain this to them and help them feel more comfortable with the process. After all, they have already suffered through enough.
Victims need advocates more than anything, and as family members or friends, you are their best hope for a fair and safer life. Don't hesitate to report verbal nursing home abuse.

Nursing Home Abuse: Burns and Bruises
There is nothing more unsettling than discovering burns, bruises, and marks on the body of your loved one who has been placed in a nursing home to assist with their care. Abuse is a rampant problem, one that can only be tackled by willing family members, a competent lawyer, and a lawsuit.
Burns, bruises, and marks such as finger marks or restraint marks on the body of an elderly person is grounds for a nursing home lawsuit, every time. Granted, elderly people bruise easier than most people, but the staff has been properly trained in dealing with the elderly without inflicting harm, or at least they should have been.
Burns happen- as a result from showers, cigarettes or cigars, and via accidents that indicate a lack of supervision. Bruises are typically the result of being handled roughly, or a lack of supervision which sets up incidents of falls, stumbles and tumbles, all of which should not happen in well regarded facility.
Lawsuits pertaining to nursing home abuse require a specialist, and a high quality nursing home abuse lawyer will meet with family members as well as the victim to determine the best course of action. Victims tend to be tight lipped about the abuse they suffer as a result of fear.
However, in the right environment, an abuse victim will be able to tell a nursing home abuse lawyer or counselor about the injustices they have suffered. It is vital that, if able, the victim be permitted to speak for themselves. It is not unheard of for families seeking large monetary awards to convince an elderly individual to go along with a false accusation of abuse, which, in turn, carries a stiff prison term.
The filing of a lawsuit means that there has to be sufficient evidence that the abuse has occurred and that there has been documented abuse, as well as witness testimony. If you suspect abuse due to bruises, burns, or marks on the body of a loved one, taking them immediately to an independent physician is highly recommended.
This can make filing a nursing home lawsuit easier as well as determining the extent of the abuse and the severity of the living conditions. Often if a victim is able to speak for themselves and discuss the abuse, emergency services can be arranged to move the victim to a safer location.
Sometimes a lawyer can facilitate a safe haven for a victim, but it's not something to be counted on. Governmental agencies and offices of the aging are more likely to be able to assist in moving an abuse victim to a safer location.
Unfortunately, the quality of a nursing home is often determined by its price tag, which means that those who can not afford for the higher quality are more likely to be subject to abuse. A lawsuit can help to acquire the funds necessary to move a victim into a higher quality nursing home or even pay for private care.
Filing a lawsuit is a commitment made by family members on behalf of the victim, at least more often than not. Rarely can a victim find the resources necessary to hire a nursing home abuse lawyer and see a lawsuit through to the end.
This by no means insinuates that the victim is not capable of handling a lawsuit however, most residents of a nursing home do not have access to the necessary tools, such as internet access, a private phone line, and the ability to meet privately and discreetly with a lawyer at their will.
While every individual, elderly or otherwise, is bound to find their share of bumps, bruises and scrapes along the way, marks on the body of an elderly individual in nursing care is almost always a high indicator of abuse or neglect.
There simply is no excuse for manipulating an elderly individual with enough force to leave marks or bruises, or for neglecting to properly supervise a situation such as showering or even handling hot liquids that can lead to burns.
An abuse victim will typically shy away from questions regarding their bodily injuries, even in the presence of a nursing home abuse lawyer. A counselor should often be present when trying to question a nursing home abuse victim.

Having Fun With Teleseminars
As with any other new product or service, people are skeptical about trying them.
They want to wait until more people they actually know personally have tried a particular device and can give them some information. The same is true of businesses, especially small businesses that do not have the funds to take huge risks.
As a result, it has taken many years of research and development for the concept of the Teleseminar to really catch on. Of course, it also required the cooperation of the telephone company whose equipment had to progress enough to allow this technology to become useful.
The evolution of the telephone to what it is today is helping making the world of business and business meetings a smoother road for the employees who must attend them.
The use of a Teleseminar bridges the gap between the cluttered and impersonal Internet and the time and expense involved traveling to meetings in other cities.
Recent advances in technology have it made it possible for the small businessperson and the entrepreneur to set up and conduct Teleseminars at a reasonable price. It would have cost thousands of dollars for these same services just a few years ago.
As new technology evolves and new systems are developed, it will be even cheaper in 10 or 20 years. As with any new technology, the longer it is available, the cheaper it becomes.
As the services become less expensive, more people will be willing to make that initial investment in a sophisticated teleconferencing system. We have already seen that happen with computers, VCRs, and DVD players, which are now a part of at least 50% of households.
When the BETA VHS system came out in the early 70s, it was over $500 to purchase, but now a combination DVD/VCR generally costs under $300. Again, these changes have shaped our world into what it is today, and people who were skeptical about trying these things became comfortable with them. These same skeptics will be the biggest supporters of the Teleseminar in years to come.
It needs to be stressed that the Teleseminar and the Internet do not stand alone as separate entities. In fact, mixed delivery combination of the two as well as other communications tools is paving the way toward the next revolution of information delivery and interactive products and services.
These combined delivery methods with multiple media allow the presenter to offer digital information and personal contact, which provides a more complete learning and relationship development experience.
With the combination of the audio on the telephone and the video that is available using the Internet, the learning experience becomes more complete and the audience will retain more of the information that is presented to them.
In doing this, you have the potential for returning clients since they know by joining your Teleseminar, they will receive clear and concise information.
Another advantage to using telephone calls instead of physical meetings is that they can be transcribed for back-end information products such as audio or video cassettes or DVDs, audio CDs and transcripts. These products open up an entire market for distribution and profit-making ventures.
With the addition of DVD burners, MP3 recorders, and other similar technology, the market is even wider and is growing more extensive every day. What once was a luxury only afforded by large corporations is now affordable and accessible by the average businessperson.
Even the sole proprietor can use this technology to communicate with customers and sales representatives instead of a one-on-one meeting or having to travel to meet a salesperson for a demonstration of a new product or service.
The new technology products make it easy for you or your Teleseminar service provider to make transcripts of your presentation.
Depending on your preference, you can have your Teleseminar recorded onto a website for people to access or you can choose to have it recorded onto a CD and offer it for sale on either your website or another website where you will direct customers who are interested.
Be certain to include these URLs in your handouts prior to the start of your Teleseminar and remind your participants several times during the presentation as well. By offering transcripts of your Teleseminar, you will continue to make money long after the initial telephone call has ended.
Even if you don't want to do a voice recording, you can sell reprints of your seminar through the use of a PDF file, setting it up in a secure format so that customers will have to pay in order to access the file.

How to Tell a Good Haircut
I believe in beautiful hair, not beautiful haircuts. To me the test of a hair style lies not in how much you do to your hair, but how little.
At the start of this article I feel I must make clear that I don't subscribe to most of the popular beliefs, superstitions, taboos and practices in relation to hairdressing. I say these things not to startle the reader or to present myself as a rebel or an eccentric, but because I sincerely believe that a statement of my basic beliefs about hair styling and hair care is necessary to a thorough understanding of the paragraphs that follow.
I am convinced that beautiful hair is within the reach of any woman once she understands that it can be achieved by working with nature, not against it. In other words, your haircut should be based on the type and texture of your hair and the amount of natural wave or curl it possesse
The success of such a haircut will rest on the natural qualities of your hair. It will not depend on the skill of a hairdresser who twists and distorts it into patterns it was never intended to follow, and which, furthermore, it will refuse to follow within a day or two after it has left the hairdresser's hands, no matter how much time you are willing to spend in trying to make it conform to the unnatural lines that have been forced upon it.
All during my professional life I have worked to emancipate women from the need for continuous hair care. The object is to enable every woman to take advantage of the natural qualities of her hair, whatever they may be. When you do this, and select a style suited to your face and features, the upkeep should be negligible.
What I am doing is to reverse the popular view of hair styling so that women will depend more on hair cutting for their good looks rather than hairdressing.
Within the framework of this idea, I have throughout the years sought to include more types and textures of hair, and different types of faces and features, in this "charmed circle." Following one straight path in this direction, I have always rejected any kinds of haircuts that would present difficult or complicated hair problems to the wearer
For years I have put thought, study and experimentation into trying to simplify life for my customers. I want to give each one of them a haircut that will keep her out of my salon for six or eight weeks, until she needs a new haircut.
Between visits her hair should be a source of pleasure to her not only because it looks well but because it is easy to take care of. It should not be a nuisance, a chore or a disappointment. This is what I mean by emancipation. It's not as simple as it seem
When a woman gets her hair done, the whole procedure no doubt seems very simple to her. We have a little preliminary discussion, I wield my shears, and there is the finished product. Actually, though you may never have thought of it in this way, the process of going to a hair stylist is like buying an industrial product such as a television set.
You may choose the set because it has a handsome cabinet, but what really counts in the set is the knowledge of engineering that has produced its inner parts and assures their successful operation. To carry this analogy along, a good haircut is one that presents a beautiful exterior like the television cabinet but which also has been "engineered" by the hair stylist so that it's going to be simple to operate.
You don't want to keep sending your TV set to a shop for constant and costly repairs. In the same way, you should demand a haircut that will not entail extensive daily care or a weekly visit to the beauty parlor. The results of my years of "engineering" in hair styling I have tried to pass on.

Is Real Estate Still About "Location Location Location"?
When buying a house, the conventional maxim asks you to focus only on location. There is no doubt that location is very important. But, there are many other issues to keep in mind so that your efforts to ensnare a dream home do not become a utopian mirage. This article talks about some of those issues
Do Not Be So Sure That You Can Time the Market
There is a shipload of pundits out there who will swear that the market has reached its crest or its trough -- or both! But, it is your money in the game. So, do not let them all take you for one grand ride. Buy a house when you need it and can afford it.
It Does Not Cost What You Think it Does
Do not just look out for the basic cost of transacting. Depending on the specific property, you could expect to spend tons of money on getting stuff up to shape. For instance, if you are buying a house, you might have to take care of interiors, plumbing, fixtures, ceilings, walls, painting, carpets, flooring, windows, doors, well that is just the beginning of the list. There is a whole lot more. Make sure to factor it all in.
Do Not Fall For Common Tricks of the Trade
If you are a first time home buyer, there is always the chance that you might fall prey to some of the common tricks that a home seller might resort to. Here are a few for your reference, but it is up to you to use your creativity and imagination to avoid getting fooled.
Trick 1 Using excessive illumination to make the house look cheery.
Some sellers will switch on all lights when they are showing you their home -- even if it is daytime. This makes the home look different than it actually is. Politely request to turn off some lights to get a better idea.
Trick 2 Using fragrances to disguise the stink.
Surely that is something you would have caught, right? Make sure you do.
Trick 3 Being unavailable to answer questions.
It is ok for the seller to be missing when you visit the home. But they must answer all your questions unambiguously.
Those are just a few of the issues you need to keep in mind when buying a house. Remember it is your house, your money, your time, and your decision. Choose to be smart.

Do Affiliate Based Programs Work
When most people get the idea of starting a home based business, one of the first things that comes to mind is joining an affiliate program. People seem to have this mistaken idea that because the different companies offering affiliate programs have so many different products to offer, it will be easy to sell those products from your website. The problem is that thousands, and even millions, of other people with access to the Internet, have the same idea, so the market is becoming saturated.
Even if you do manage to find a product that sells well, you will have to sell a great many products in order to make any kind of decent income from these programs.
This is not intended to dissuade you from joining affiliate programs as a means to make some extra income, but it is not something that you can rely upon if you are attempting to replace a primary or secondary source of income. In order to make any kind of real money with these programs, you have to either join hundreds of them and be willing to invest a great deal of money into advertising your website, and thus your affiliate programs, or you need to find those that pay the most commissions. For example, some of the credit card processing companies like Click Bank offer $4 and up for every sale that goes through their network from one of their partner
Even with these higher paid affiliate programs, you have to be willing to do a great deal of advertising and promoting of your website in order to make any substantial income.
With affiliate programs, the key is in advertising and promoting, and the more you have to advertise and promote, the better your chances are that you will be successful with the venture. Those most likely to be successful with this type of home business are those who are not only familiar with advertising and promoting websites but selling as well. That doesn't mean that someone who does one or the other cannot be successful, but those who have the most experience in all aspects of this type of business will gain the most success.
That means you should not only know about website advertising and promotion and have experience in sales, but you should also be equally familiar with the products within your affiliate program(s). For example, don't join an affiliate program for a company that sells political memoirs if you have no interest in politics. You have to enjoy what you are doing in order to do your best, and that means knowing and enjoying the products that you promote. None of this guarantees success with this type of business venture, but lacking these qualities assures ultimate failure unless you gain the knowledge and expertise along the way.

So how do you get rid of this layer of fat to expose the amazing abs beneath? Do you need to do 100 abdominal exercises to get it?
Simply put you need to be burning more calories than you consume through a balanced fitness program including weight training and cardiovascular exercising (running, jogging, cycling etc.). Just doing 100 abdominal exercises will not be having much effect as combined with these.
Here we will mention some good exercises that are effective, safe, and can be done almost anywhere. Remember, persistence is the key. Your abs need to be exercised every single day to give you visible results.

1. Bent Knee Sit-up
Sit down on a sit-up board and hook your feet under the strap. With your knees bent to about 45 degrees put your hands behind your head and your chin on your chest (this will put a slight bow in your back).
From this position, inhale and lie back until your lower back touches the board. Exhale as you raise back up to the starting position.
2. Alternating Twisting Sit-Up
Sit down on a sit-up board and hook your feet under the strap. With your knees slightly bent, put your hands behind your head and your chin on your chest.
Twist your upper body to the right. Retaining this position, inhale and lower your torso down until your lower back touches the board. Return to the starting position and exhale.
Now twist your upper body to the left and repeat the same movement. A movement to the right and left is considered one repetition.
3. Tummy Isometric Crunch
First exhale, and then suck in your tummy as much as you can. Hold this position for fifteen seconds. Then relax and breathe normally.
Visualize moving your bellybutton straight toward your back. Holding in your tummy muscles and tensing your abs is a good way of firming and strengthening them. You will also become more aware of how to control your tummy muscles. Repeat several times. This exercise can be done anywhere, anytime. However, if you have high blood pressure, do not hold your breath for extended periods of time.
You can do these 100 abdominal exercises till the cows come home but they must be part of a good overall workout routine...including cardio work and proper nutrition to lower your body fat percentage.
Also never take for granted the numerous benefits that proper amounts of sleep can give to you. Aside from always feeling refreshed in the morning, you'll have more energy and motivation to continuing doing these ads exercises to achieve your ripped midsection.

New Motorcycle Test to be Introduced
If you are a motorcycle rider, you are probably already aware of the fact that starting next year in 2008 it will be a bit more difficult for you to obtain your motorcycle driving license. The reason why is that the Great Britain government has ascertained that the requirements for being able to operate a motorcycle must be raised, and in response to this they have implemented a new motorcycle training test.
Starting next year all potential motorcycle driving license holders must pass the new and improved motorcycle training test to be eligible for that license. Requirements are stricter, and there will be people who will be turned down for their motorcycle license simply because they do not meet the ability and eligibility requirement
The new motorcycle training test follows more stringent requirements than the old one for example, the potential licensee must undergo a series of examinations that consists of two halves.
The first half of the new motorcycle training test is not conducted on the main roads for safety purposes. This ensures that nobody who lacks the proper motorcycle operating skills endangers the safety and lives of common motorists that are on the road trying to get to work in time, just for a pupil to undergo a driving examination. This first portion of the test is a great deal like some of the regular driving license practical portions, with cones marking off the manoeuvres that must be taken to pass that portion of the exam.
Needless to say, if the applicant fails to demonstrate a proper ability to drive a motorcycle during this first portion of the motorcycle training test they will not be allowed to proceed to the next portion of the exam.
The second half of the new motorcycle training test in the UK consists of safely operating a motorcycle on the public roads and expressways with other cars, other motorcyclists, and even moped drivers and a load of pedestrians on the road with you as well. This is the applicant's chance to demonstrate their knowledge of traffic laws in the UK as pertaining to motorcyclists and motor vehicle driver
Both portions of the new motorcycle training test must be passed to the satisfaction of the exam proctor for the person's application for a motorcycle driving license in Great Britain will be even considered if any part of their competency as a motorcycle driver is questionable in the slightest bit, the individual will not be issued a license.
