Outsource for Quality at a Fraction of the Cost

Try to imagine that you need a business process to be finished. You hire a professional in your country that charges about a hundred dollars to get the job done. This proves to be too expensive for your company. What if you can get the same quality job done by a person with the same qualifications at half the price?
This can prove to be very attractive. But how can you find this person with the same qualification but who charges half the price another professional charges? The answer to this question is to outsource your business process in developing countries full of talented professional
Since developing countries have lower minimum salary rates, outsourcing can prove to be a cheaper alternative to do a particular business process that you need. Not only that, if your company is burdened with heavy workloads, outsourcing can help your company ease the burden. This will mean more efficiency and productivity for your company while saving a lot of money in the proces
By outsourcing your business process, you can be sure that you will be able to get the job done at half the price. Developing countries, such as India, China, Philippines, and others can provide cheap labor compared to hiring professionals in the United State
Outsourcing companies are considered a major industry in developing countries. Governments of developing countries are welcoming outsourcing companies to provide top quality jobs for their professionals with high paying salary. Although the salary you will give to outsourcing companies in other countries may be considered high, in the United States it will be considered to be very low because the minimum wage in developing countries is far lower than you can imagine.
Outsourcing business processes in other countries will also mean saving a lot of money on company insurance, social security payments and other benefits that you will be required to pay for if you hire a regular employee in your company to do the job.
As you can see, outsourcing your business process' main advantage is providing your company with cheap labor and at the same time quality and professionally done jobs. The bottom line for outsourcing is saving a lot of money for your company.
So, if you are looking for a way to get cheap labor for your company, you can consider looking outside your country for outsourcing companies that can tailor your needs for your company.
However, before hiring a particular outsourcing company, you have to make sure that the quality of their work meets your company's standards. Outsourcing companies are now providing ways for you to evaluate their work first before you hire them. Because of this, you can be sure that you will be getting the best outsourcing company to get your business process done.
Outsourcing doesn't only provide cheap labor for your company, but it can also ease the burden of heavy workload because of the growing demand for your company's services. Through outsourcing, you will be able to increase productivity and efficiency of your company.
However, you should always remember that outsourcing is not for everybody. You have to determine if your company should outsource your business process or not. If you think your company can handle it, you should keep the work in your company. But if it proves to be very burdensome, you should consider outsourcing. So, instead of hiring additional regular employees in your company, you can outsource your business process and save a lot of money.

Growing Your Strategic Consulting Skills

In the 21st century, when Personnel Management has changed into a broader spectrum of Human Resource Management, what does an organization seek from a Human Resource professional? Such a professional needs to
. Clearly demonstrate his/her value-added contribution to the success of the overall strategic goals of the organization
. Provide measurements that show the success of the initiatives and processes he/she provide as an HR service
. Give customer like treatment to all the members of the organization and
. Try to change the perception of these customers of the role of the HR department.
So it is clear that organizations are not looking at the Human Resource team for just playing a managerial role, but more as consultants and strategists. But many people in organizations still relegate the HR professional to a traditional policing, systematizing, and authoritative role. The role of the HR manager must be in-sync with the needs of his/her organization, which is constantly undergoing change. Successful organizations are becoming more flexible, ready to change direction along with being customer-centric. Hence, a corresponding change is required on part of the HR professional from a more traditional role to a new consultative and strategic role. This change would require additional knowledge, support and practice.
Within the changing environment of organizations, the HR professional needs to be a strategic partner, an employee advocate and a change mentor. This is required to highlight their importance and their contribution to the organization. In this role, the members of the HR team contribute to the development of the organization in its business plan its objectives, as well as its accomplishment
The HR business objectives need to be such, that they support the overall strategic business plan and objectives of the organization. The tactical HR representative needs to have deep knowledge about the way the system works and also the way in which in which employees succeed and contribute. Here, HR services will have an edge of strategic partnership, which will in turn impact the same HR services and the way it work
The HR manager can play a crucial role in the success of an organization, by acting as an employee advocate. This can be done by his/her knowledge about people and their advocacy. This advocacy should incorporate expertise in creating a favorable and a motivating work environment in which people will be able to contribute, as well as be satisfied and happy. It would also include developing effective methods of goal setting, increased communication across hierarchies and employee empowerment through responsibility. This would also help in establishing a favorable organizational culture in which people choose and commit to serve customers well.
HR professional need to frequently champion change by constantly evaluating the efficiency of the organization. Thus, HR professionals are required to have both knowledge and the competency to execute successful change strategies, as well as the ability to link change to the strategic needs of the organization. This is required to minimize employee dissatisfaction, which results out of the human nature, of resistance to change.
In this way, an HR professional will be viewed more as a strategic consultant. For those who are still used to older ways of working in this position, it will take time and practice. Coaching might also be required to fit into this new role and handle new responsibilities.

How Long Should a Rehab Really Take?

Whether you're rehabbing to sell or rent, you should plan your work and work your plan. When purchasing property you should have your estimates in writing prior to closing. In fact, you should have a clause in your contract stating that the seller will give buyer access to property for purposes of estimating.
Make sure you always pick neutral colors. For instance exterior colors should be trendy colors appropriate to the neighborhood, yellow, beige, and gray tones with white trim work well. Interior colors should be flat white or off white with semi gloss on trim, doors, kitchen and bath. Carpet colors should be neutral as well in either beige or the gray family. Sometimes you can upgrade to a Berber for pennies.
If you're doing cosmetics only, your rehab should not take longer than a few weeks. When you get into more involved projects (i.e. roof) you can expect it to take longer. Some municipalities are easier to work with than others regarding permitting. Much of the problems are related to the people not doing the work in a timely fashion.
Someone I know just built a 1200 square feet house from top to bottom and got a certificate of occupancy in less than 90 days. If he can accomplish such a feat then even the most complicated rehab should not take longer than that. Having done all levels of rehabbing, I still run into snags.
It's the nature of the beast. Remember to always put in a fudge factor for those unforeseen expenses. Good crews are hard to come by. If you have someone you know who does good work, make sure you keep him or her happy. I have a long-standing relationship with people such as my handyman, carpet person, tile installer, tile supplier, roofer and so on.
For your rentals, keep in mind you might be better off cleaning your carpet and/or dying it than replacing it. You should have a rental unit turned over in less than 1 week.
Here are a few appropriate cost guidelines re-roof with shingle $1.50 per square foot or $150 per "square", interior painting $.85 per square foot including walls, doors, trim and ceilings, toilets $150, windows $150 each installed, exterior paint $.50 per square foot of surface space, exterior doors $300 each installed, carpet $10 a yard installed over new pad, kitchen cabinets $950 to $1500 installed.
Most important is to get your rehab estimates in writing with both a labor and material and time estimate. Make sure you cover issues such as having workers carry insurance and work comp. Do not give a hefty deposit before work is started.
It is a good idea to bonus if they finish early and to penalize them in increasing amounts for every day they are late. Please keep in mind it is not the best use of your time banging nails. Your local investor club/association can be a great resource to find everyone you need to do a great rehab.

It's OK To Ask For The Sale. Really It's OK

"85% of the interactions between sales people and prospects end without the sales person ever asking for the sale. 85%!" Retail News by Richard Fenton
I asked a number of unsuccessful and marginally successful sales people, "Why don't you aggressively ask for the sale?" I received these top 3 replies
"I don't sell by pushing the customer."
"In this market you cannot be over aggressive."
"The people here are different."
And then, after talking with them for a while I got the truth, "I do not like being rejected."
No one likes rejection. I don't know of any person who likes to hear the word "NO".
It's OK, no it is a must to ask for the sale, because as Hockey player great Wayne Gretzky says,
"You miss 100 percent of the shots you never take."
It is easy to never have the customer say "NO" when asking for the sale.
But first let's get two well used practices out of the way, never to be heard of or used again.
#1. The Ostrich, head in the sand salesperson says
When the customer says "NO"I do not hear them. I do not pay attention to them saying "NO." I ignore it, therefore they do not say it. Well you may not hear them saying "NO", but they are saying it. And they are hearing themselves saying "NO". And once they start saying "NO" they will continue saying "NO".
#2. The Overcomer says I know how to overcome hearing the word "NO".
Although this self confindence is good, once the customer says "NO" the first time, it is easier for them to continue to say "NO" when you ask for the sale. And why waste valuable selling time trying to overcome a situation you do not have to create in the first place?
Here it is. The 100% Guaranteed technique to never having the customer say or think "NO" when you are asking for the sale
It is all in the way you ask for the sale. Never give the customer the opportunity to say "NO".
Ask Choice Questions!!!!!!
When you say, "Do you want to buy this product in Blue?"
The customer can say "NO".
When you give them a choice, "Which color do you like best, red, blue, green or black?" You are not allowing them to say "NO". And if they do not like any of those colors they will most likely tell you the color they like or you can give them more color choice
Here is another great example If you want a meeting with a customer and you say,
"Can we meet Friday morning?" They can easily say "NO".
But give them choices, "Which would be better for you, if we meet Thursday or Friday morning?" You will never have the customer say "NO". Again, if either one of those are satisfactory for them, continue to give them choices of other meeting days and time
Recently I saw one of my clients double the order they received from their customer while taking an order simply by using the choice method I taught her. The customer normally reordered 5000 units of a particular item every 3 months. Instead of asking, "Do you want to reorder another 5000 units next month?", my client said, "Since your busier season is coming which would be better for you to reorder, 10,000 or 20,000 units?" Another principle came into play here. The principle of the easy way out. When given a choice customers will most always take the easiest choice. In this case the 10,000 was an easier choice than 20,000.
Give your customers choices. You will never hear the sales stopping word "NO" and your sales and profits will increase.

Choosing A Good Home Water Filtering System

Home water filter systems can improve the well being of the whole family, and home water filter systems can make the water taste better too. Water is vital for every human being, and it is important that the water is clean and pure for everyone in the family. Home water filter systems are available at inexpensive prices to provide the purest, most delicious water. Doctors often tell people that they should drink eight glasses of water every day for optimum health. If the water does not taste that good, people are tempted to drink bottled water or sodas when they are thirsty.
Bottled water is expensive, and the tap water often taste awful so a home water filter system could provide the solution to all of these problems. Home water filter systems are available that can produce great water for the entire home. Every faucet that dispenses water will be clean and pure if a good home water filter system is installed. These systems can be set up so the water goes through one tank that purifies the water before it goes through to the faucets that dispense the water to the people in the home.
When comparing water filter systems you need to consider the following
Certified Systems - Is the entire system tested and certified by an independent third party to remove or reduce the specified water contaminants?
Initial Cost - What is the cost of the installed system?
Filter Replacement Costs - What are the costs to replace the filter cartridges?
Filter Life - How often will you have to replace the filter cartridge and how many gallons will it filter before the recommended replacement?
Operating Costs - Divide the cost of the replacement filter by the recommended service life (in gallons of water filtered). This is the operating cost per gallon for filtered water.
Performance Data - Will the system remove the contaminants you are most concerned about and are there any performance tests to demonstrate the effectiveness of the filter system at removing those specific contaminants? If the system is reverse osmosis, will it produce enough water for your family?
Water Monitor - Does the system monitor the amount of water processed or the quality of the water so you only replace filter cartridges when necessary for cost effective and safe operation?
Component Quality - There are many ways to configure water treatment systems with the various necessary components such as filter cartridges, faucets, connectors, valves and housings. These components will determine the dependability, performance and lasting water quality of the water treatment system.
Note Do not use these water filter systems with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the unit. Contaminants, or other substances removed or reduced by these water treatment devices are not necessarily in your water. Systems certified for cyst reduction may be used on disinfected waters that may contain filterable cysts.
Home Water Filter Systems Use Excellent Technology
A home water filter system will also provide softer water for the people in the home. This means that the clothes will be cleaner when they come out of the washing machine. The machines work better with less detergent for the best results. These systems will make a difference in the condition of every one's hair and skin. The people in the home will quickly notice the important differences soon after a home water filter system is installed. These home systems can be set up with ease to provide perfect water for the entire home.
Once a home water filter system is installed, there will be other benefits that the people in the home will notice. The dishes coming out of a dishwasher will be cleaner and brighter. The coffee made with the tap water will taste better than ever before. These systems also remove the elements in the water that deposit ugly stains on the toilets, baths, showers and fixtures. The technology in the systems can provide water that has the important elements while removing harmful elements. The home water filter system can be set up to deliver pure, soft water to supply all of the people in the home on a regular basis.

Snoring Surgery Should Be Considered As A Last Resort

For many, snoring is a health concern that extends much farther than a simple loss of sleep. However, every potential option should be researched and attempted prior to the contemplation of surgery. It is imperative to note that surgery for snoring should only be considered as a last resort and only if serious health risks are possible if surgery is not performed.
When Snoring Surgery Is the Only Option
For many, the nightly snoring is a result of an increased uvula, palate or excessive throat tissue. If you are someone that must have the snoring surgery done to save your life, insure that you have exhausted all other possibilities first before making your final decision. There are many types of snoring surgeries available to assist in the effort to resolve health concerns. However, it is best to research every possible option available as these surgeries are not always as effective as promised and often the results can be very unsatisfactory.
Somnoplasty is a snoring surgery that uses radio frequency energy to reduce and scar the tissue on the inner palate and upper airway. It often requires repeat visits to achieve the optimum results. It is an expensive method of surgery and is relatively new so the long term results have not been fully determines. It is also called Radio Frequency Tissue Ablation (RFTA), is considered minimally invasive, and is performed as an outpatient surgery with local anesthesia.
Palatopharyngoplasty or Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP) is a snoring surgery used when it is necessary to remove the tonsils, parts of the uvula and soft palate. This specific snoring surgery is done in an attempt to open up the throat and widen the airway. This is a very serious snoring surgery, done on an inpatient basis with a recovery time of up to three weeks. It has proven to have an effective rate of decreasing snoring and cures 46-73% of its patients. However, this is not a snoring surgery that is suggested for a light snorer or for apnea patients. This often requires two-five outpatient visits after the initial surgery to support the previous work.
Research Is the Key To Success When Considering Snoring Surgery
These two examples of snoring surgery provide only a glimpse into the medical options that exist for individuals that suffer serious health issues due to their lack of sleep and the problems that they have with snoring. It is important to try as many at home remedies and get the assistance of a medical professional at the onset of your desire to quit snoring. It is important to insure that the basis for snoring is not a small issue that can be conquered with a few lifestyle changes rather that to expose yourself to the problems that could occur with snoring surgery.

Different Types of Learning Disabilities

A learning disability is a problem that the brain has in processing certain kinds of information. This information may take the form of verbal, written, or numerical cues. While these problems can't be cured, they can be effectively dealt with through various strategies. People with learning problems often go on to live highly successful lives, but first they must identify what type of disability they have and how to work with it. The following is a listing of the most common learning disabilities and their symptom
Dyslexia This is the most common and well-known learning disability in the United States. People with dyslexia have problems reading and/or understanding written language due to directional or sequencing problems. Symptoms of dyslexia may include late talking, trouble learning the alphabet, poor spelling, and overreliance on memorization.
Dyscalculia Those with dyscalculia find it hard to understand the basic principles and practices of mathematics. Some indicators of dyscalculia include difficulty learning numbers, mixing up mathematical symbols, and having trouble with numerical order.
Dysgraphia This learning disability is characterized by the inability to write within a set space, such as a lined piece of paper. The Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA) categorizes this disorder as an output problem, caused by lack of control of the small muscles that dictate fine motor skills. Possible symptoms of dysgraphia include late development of fine motor skills, poor handling of writing tools, and illegible handwriting.
Auditory and Visual Perception Disabilities People with these kinds of learning problems are able to see and hear without difficulty, but still find it trying to understand language. Thus, this is a problem with how the brain interprets language cues. Those with auditory perception disabilities have a hard time telling the difference between various sounds (or phonemes), especially when more than one sound occurs at a time. Those with visual processing problems may encounter one or more of the following obstacles transposing letters, not knowing which letter or symbol to focus on first, skipping letters, sentences, or even paragraphs, rereading the same passage over and over again, and poor depth perception.
Memory Disabilities People with memory problems have a hard time retaining or retrieving audio or visual information. They may be unable to recall a statement that someone has recently made to them or a passage that they have just finished reading. This inability to access one's short-term memory makes it difficult to input information into one's long-term memory. A person who has issues with integrating information may understand individual facts perfectly but has trouble incorporating them into larger systems of logic. These individuals might be criticized for being unable to "see the big picture."

Lose Weight With The Lemonade Diet

The lemonade diet has been enjoying a surge in interest since the circulation of photos belonging to the curvaceous and slim Beyonce sometime late last year. It was revealed that Beyonce lost weight for her role in Dreamgirls in a short space of time due to the lemonade diet. Reports also say that a few other stars had also adopted the same diet in order to lose weight fast.
The lemonade diet is also known as the mater cleanser diet as it came from a book, called The Master Cleanser, by Stanley Burroughs. There are also a few variations to its name such as the maple syrup diet or the cayenne pepper diet due to the ingredients that make up the recipe.
The lemonade diet is specifically designed to help you cleanse your body of toxins and not directly a weight loss program. Even the word diet is a misnomer as it is more like a fast. The diet is great for the prevention of digestive diseases and disorders. The reason that this system seems to work so well is because most disease begin in the intestines, which is exactly the area that lemon cleansing targets. It is also a quick way to reduce your weight or control weight gain.
With the lemonade diet, your kidneys and digestive system can be cleansed as will all cells and organs be purified. Any waste and calcifications or hardened areas within the joints and muscles will be flushed out from your body. Pressure upon the nerves, arteries and blood vessels will be alleviated and body fat is also lost during this process. You will find that the elasticity of your skin also improves with this type of diet. Lemon is said to have the natural ability to act as a loosening and cleansing agent.
You can go about the lemonade diet in two different ways. In the first way, you stay on the master cleanse diet for three to five days following a simple lemonade diet recipe for the drink. During this time, you should abstain from eating any foods. Simply combine two tablespoons of fresh squeezed lemon or lime juice with two tablespoons of organic maple syrup (Grade B), and add ten to fourteen ounces of water. Also, add a pinch of cayenne pepper. You should mix the drink just before consuming. Take this drink every two hours.
In the second way, you can also consume this drink in the morning, about three times per month. You can follow a regular healthy diet during this time.
It is important to note that fresh, purified water can also be consumed during either method. Of course, do not expect as much results if you choose this way over the first, since the cleansing will be less intense.

Etiquette Tips for a Guest

Etiquette for guests are important. A formal affair is when this is of dire importance. However, with a causal party or event there are still some information a person needs to know. With every style of party, an individual needs to be on their best behavior so each guest can have a fun and amusing time. The host has various parts of the event to worry about. An unruly guest should not concern the other guests or host. There are simple measures a person can take to have fun and enjoy the surroundings. Almost every person has been taught some form of etiquette for different styles of events. There are simple procedures that a person can take to enjoy themselves and still be on their best behavior.
Invitations are sent out a few weeks in advance. It is polite to acknowledge these invites. Call the host or write a letter explaining if you can make the event or if you cannot. When the host is expecting a certain amount of people and half of those individuals do not show, time, food and entertainment is wasted. Let the host know as soon as possible if the individual is planning to attend. When the person calls and tells the host they will make it, ask if they can do anything for the event. It is helpful to the party if guests make a contribution. Most of the time the host will tell an individual everything is taken care of, however if something is needed be sure to accomplish thi
It is vital for every individual to arrive on time. It is rude and inconsiderate to show up late for a party. If the guests arrive too early the host may not be ready for them as of yet. This will make the individual feel rushed and may forget a few details. Time is of the essence. Excellent etiquette for every guest is to come when they say they will and to be exactly on time.
If it is a gift party bring one that is appropriate for the situation. It is always a must to dress appropriatlye as well. If a guest is confused on what would be the fitting approach to this event, ask ahead of time. It is crucial to the enjoyment of everyone involved if they individuals look their best and bring a proper gift.
When children are involved with the invitations it is vital to keep a close watch over them. They are full of mischief. These little darlings may be bored without other children there. Even if the invite offers to bring the kids, it may be a good idea to find a babysitter instead.
Eat and drink appropriately. An individual could have a great time without stuffing their face with everything they see. Most of the time all the food and drinks are plentiful, however try and not consume too much of either substance. There are other members of the party as well.
The etiquette is not hard to understand. Most of the time it is just common sense and less self-indulgence. If every single guest remembers their manners, the party will be a wonderful experience for all attending.

The Catcher In Baseball

In a baseball game, the catcher can be found crouched behind the home plate and catches the ball from the pitcher. He has the most difficult task in the game as far as importance is concerned. From his position he has the view of the entire field. In this case, he has the responsibility to lead the other players into play. He has the task to be aware of the pitcher's strengths and the batter's weakness. He gestures the right moves to the pitcher through hand signals to eliminate the batter in any way.
Pitches may exceed the speeds of 90 miles per hour, so in this case, the catcher must be geared in a way that he must be well protected from the head down. His protective equipments should include a mask to protect their head, a chest protector to protect the body from the impact of the ball, knee pads for the catcher to rest on when he is in the crouched position and also gives support to the knee ligaments, shin guards to protect the legs, protective cup to protect the groin, inner protective gloves which are worn inside the mitt to absorb the shock and gloves which are extra thick to lessen the friction that the ball may bring.
Catcher's usually throw with their right hand. This is because most batters are right handed. The reason that there are a few left handed catchers would be because most lefties are trained to be pitchers at an early age.
The catcher's mistake might lead to an unexpected scoring or even the victory of a team. So aside from the strategic things and theories that he must ingest, he must also be careful with all the moves he makes. Wild pitches will happen at any time and so do the passed balls. Miscalculations in blocking the plate or dropping the ball in any condition of the play may mean the end. Consequences should be considered for every failure.
Injury is always a considered addition to the catcher's presence in the game. Although he wears protective gears this character suffers the most physically abused role in the game. From catching the high speed ball to blocking the runners from the base plate. Their crouched positions contribute to some knee ailments that they will suffer later on in their lives. Aside from knee disorders they may also develop circulatory abnormalities in their catching hand.

Online Perfume Shopping

For those who are tired of shopping everywhere for perfume the next and the final stop for them would be online perfume shopping where they get the final and best results. It is the easiest and reliable means of shopping that could be done by sitting at home. There are a lot of websites which are open for online perfume shopping and you really get confused about the choice as it has a wide selection with unbelievable price
The most important thing to get prepared before online perfume shopping is to know about the brand that you are using and also the perfume that you are opting to buy. First you have to go window shopping at retail outlets and try on the samples to select the one that suits you the most.
There are certain tips and tricks that let you choose the best fragrance. Many people test with the samples available in the outlets but they are unaware of the major fact. If you smell the fragrance from an outlet it would be entirely different when you come back home with it. This is a proven fact because different smells blend together to give a different smell which might be entirely dissimilar to the original smell.
Another fact is that the smell is present at the same atmosphere at the same humidity and temperature. When you use it at home, a new atmosphere is introduced and thus it smells very different. Hence, the fragrance chosen by you seems to be stronger or weaker than what it smelled at the store.
Another important aspect that speaks about the fragrance that suits you is the composition and compounds which is present in the perfumes you choose. The evaporation rates of these compounds differ depending on each of them. Thus making each branded perfume unique on its stand.
Choosing of the desired fragrance should also depend on the skin type. This is considered to be very important because different scents prove to act differently on each skin types as there are several types of skin. As some skins are oily, some are dry, some sensitive and so on as the type of skin depends largely on the oil present in them. Regarding those with dry skin, as lotions or moisturizers are used, the scent smells differently on them. Various other factors which depend on the way the smell of the perfume is reflected are the environment in which you live, drinks and those eaten by you and even the smells surrounding you has an important role to play with the smell.
Some of the most used and popular branded perfumes are those of Channel, Gucci, Capucci or even Britney Spears. It is obvious that you will be amazed to hear about the great prices of these perfumes. But you can grab even these branded perfumes at lower rates by online perfume shopping. The main reason behind such an advantage is that most of the sites offer them at whole sale prices. Therefore, it is always the best to choose online shopping for perfume purchase.

Evolution of Baseball

The baseball is a ball which is nine inches in circumference and is 5 ounces heavy. The core of the ball may vary from cork or rubber or both. Surrounding the core would be either yam or twine or even wool.
Covering these materials would be leather in two separate pieces put together by 108 stitches of cotton thread, red in color and coated with wax. The official Major League balls which are sold by Rawlings, an American company who manufactures sports equipment and was founded in 1887, sells the exact size and weight of MLB version balls with a stamped signature of Commissioner Allan Selig on each ball.
A slightly different size is used on Little League matches to cater to the need of the player
In the early years the manufacturers made cushioned cork cores to be the ball, later on some synthetic substitutes were tried in producing balls but were not used on major games since the weight of the ball and its properties affected much of the game play. Tighter wound balls fly or bounce from the bat faster. This are the type of balls which are used now compared to early versions and synthetic material
During the early years of the sport only one ball was used all throughout the game. If the ball goes up on the grandstand the employees would look for it and put it back into play.
It would be obvious that the ball will get damaged in the long run or be discolored due to dirt, sweat and some liquids that the players would apply on it. This practice went on until the tragic death of a batter named Ray Chapman on 1920, because he was hit by a baseball which he did not see coming in the dim twilight due to discoloration.
It was after this event happened that it was decided to keep clean and undamaged balls during the course of play to automatically replace soiled or damaged balls. Today, dozens of balls are kept as reserves during official games or minor games to maintain the ruling of keeping the balls in play undamaged and clean.
The ball's evolution made a major contribution to the evolution of the game itself. From the materials used to produce a ball to the idea of not limiting just one ball to a single play but to have reserves to promote safety all went well through the test of time.

A Check-Up on Life

Many of us may have experienced even at least one point in our lives when we have taken a pause or a backseat from our journey to see how far we have gone and on whether this is the road that we want to take. Several times have we taken pit stops on the hope of having a clearer frame of mind to see the road that lies ahead of us. On the path towards what people may refer to as a life goal dream, self-fulfillment or however one calls it, there may be occasions when we feel there is a need for us to take a different course or to change the strategies that we may be currently doing.
Sometimes, life's problems and hardships can bring us so down to the point that we lose the drive and the energy to get back on the path towards what we think would make us happy.
It is true that there are millions of people around the world who sit at home lonely thinking what they are life could have been had they chosen to pursue a career of their own.
There are millions of working individuals who dread the fact of waking up every morning and going to a job they hate every single day because they have no choice of the matter. Without that job, how could they pay the rent, put food on the table, pay for bills, send their children to school, etc.
Every single day, millions of people wake up to a day full of possibilities and a day full of uncertainty. You will never know if luck will strike or you will strike out on luck.
For the many who may be going through such a life's crisis all I can say is this. We only go through life once so I say upon to you, look within yourself and try to assess on who and what you are to be able to select a future that you think is appropriate for you.
Don't force yourself on things like a job that you wouldn't like. If you are not given much of a choice, choose a job that could at least give you the income and the time to enjoy the other side of life. While we often think that it is greener on the other side of the pasture, think again.
Quite often, life's simple pleasures are right under our very noses and all we lack is just some focus not knowing that it is right in front of us. Remember that life is complicated and is not only focused on your job but you have family, friends, etc.
Everything happens for a reason because everything has its proper place at the right time. Everybody deserves happiness in this world and it is all a matter of perspective and knowing where to look for what makes you truly happy.

Fire Your Boss - Your Job Is No Good For You!

Hey working stiff! Yeah you, with the aching back from working too hard and the puffy eyes from not getting enough sleep. Do you like being used and abused? Do you like slaving away your life filling the pocket of someone else while your pockets are always empty?
Such is the plight of the employed! Remember when there was a lower class, middle class, and upper class? Now there are just the rich and the working poor. Exploitation is the name of the game for the rich. People working for them just keep getting poorer and poorer because working men and women are denied proper compensation.
Workers get paid less and less so the boss can get more and more. Massive and ever increasing profit is all that matters to the boss. Workers are not cared about at all. If a machine could replace you then you would be replaced.
Have you seen your job go overseas? It is because paying you peanuts is not cheap enough. Penny paychecks with no benefits are the best they give you, but they don't want to give you anything. According to them, you should just be proud to be part of their team, giving excellent service so the company can keep rolling in the profits to fill the big fat pockets of the boss. Work like a dog, you lucky dog! Then die broke like a dog! It is because we get treated like animals that 95% of all Americans die broke.
It is a sad fact that workers deserve better treatment than what they are getting today. They are making the American dream possible, not for themselves, but for their boss. Consider this, when the rate of inflation goes up but your wages do not, that means you are making less money year after year. Your job is taking you down into the gutter. Soon as the job has gotten as much as it can out of you, it will toss you away like trash.
Why cater to a demeaning job that does not respect you. In order to get the respect you deserve, you need an alternative to a job. You need to take care of number one. No! Number one is not your boss like you were programmed to think! Number one is you. Putting yourself first is the best thing you can do for yourself. It also makes you unemployable!
Unemployable is good. It shows you have the self-esteem not to be pushed around and told what to do. Would you be the master of your time, your money, and your life? If so, work for yourself. Run your own business. Get the full rewards of being at the top and in control. Have the leverage of tax breaks and receiving the lion's share of money. Invest the money and make even more money. Yes! Your own business! That is what makes people wealthy!

Supply Has Not Met Demand For Nintendo Wii

Anyone who takes a great interest in video games can tell you exactly where they were on November 19, 2006. If they are a really serious gamer then most likely they were camped out overnight in front of the Toys R Us store located in Times Square, New York in an effort to be the first one through the doors when they opened early in the morning. That was the day when Nintendo Wii was launched and the race to get one officially began. It was a grand event that was highlighted by such things as a roving Segway scooter that held a custom made Wii console. People could play Wii games wirelessly while waiting in the line that stretched around the building.
Since that day the demand for Wii consoles has been much greater than the supply. In fact, if you wanted to purchase a console right now chances are your favorite department store, electronics outlet or Internet mall may be sold out of this product.
The publicity leading up to the release of Nintendo Wii was unanimously positive. This console is the fifth one released by Nintendo, and it is the successor to the highly popular GameCube console. Serious gamers had followed the story from the beginning when Nintendo Wii was first unveiled at the 2005 E3 event. It won the first of many awards at that show as they hit the ground running. From that day forward the massive amount of people who play video games worldwide could hardly wait to get their hands on one of these revolutionary consoles.
Nintendo Wii has outsold Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PSP since its release a few months ago. The demand for this product is now through the roof. People of all ages are playing games on these units and the interest is growing larger every day.
Wii is number one in sales of video game consoles partly due to its price, 250 dollars which is about 2 to 4 hundred dollars less than its competitors. The main reason people are going bananas over this console though is due to its exiting new features like WiiConnect24 which enables the console to receive messages and updates over the Internet while in standby mode. But most of all it is all about the remote control.
The thing that sets Nintendo Wii apart from other game consoles like Playstation 3, PSP or Xbox 360 is its wireless remote control, known as the Wii remote. It is a revolutionary device that offers interactivity on a whole new level. This remote has a motion sensor that allows the user to get up off their seat and kick, swing, jump and dance their way through Wii games. No more hours of endless sitting. Gamers can now actually feel like they are physically in the game while they are playing their video game
As the frenzy to buy Nintendo Wii consoles has increased steadily online malls and retail stores have struggled to keep their shelves stocked with this hot new product. Many people have accused Nintendo of purposely holding back on the amount of Wii consoles for sale to create a high demand for the product. These critics go further to say that the plan of Nintendo all along was to release plenty of these consoles in the fourth quarter of the business year to a public that cannot wait to get their hands on one of them because the product is so good, yet relatively scarce.
This week Nintendo announced that they would be ramping up production of Wii consoles. This means that there should be plenty of them available for sale during the fourth quarter of this business year. On the surface it would appear that the conspiracy theory crowd was right about Nintendo withholding production to create an artificial demand. However, there is no way to be certain if this is true unless you have a secret recording of the top Nintendo executives sitting in a board meeting as they plotted their diabolical plan.
The big question here is whether or not the drought will soon be over for video game enthusiasts who are thirsty for a drink of the new Nintendo Wii console. While no amount was given by Nintendo regarding how many more consoles they will produce, most people believe that the general PR message the company is sending out to the public is that you will not have a problem finding Nintendo Wii for sale at your favorite retail or online store from now on.

Helpful Information About Overnight Summer Camps

Some camps have a targeted focus like religious study, academics, and competitive sports. Camps often focus on specialties that include adventure, art, computer, dance, music, religion, horse riding, sports, theatre, and many others. There are overnight summer camps with a focus on self-improvement, weight loss and grief counseling.
Basically, if you can think of any subject of interest, there's probably a camp that specializes in it. The camp you choose for your child will provide a lifetime of good memories and will be truly rewarding. There are overnight summer camps that are co-ed camps, boy's camps, girl's camps or brother-sister camps where boys and girls may have separate venues and activities.
Overnight summer camp is also known as a sleepaway camp when campers spend their nights at the camp some camps do allow both daytime and overnight campers. There are popular overnight summer camps in every state in the U.S. and every province in Canada there are camps in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and just about every country in the world. Selecting the right camp that fits into your child or teen's interests, special interests, needs, special needs and abilities will be one of the first steps
Although camp counselor jobs don't usually pay very well, usually minimum wage or less, counselors receive free room and board many take the job primarily for the camping experience. Camps should have at least a 40% to 60% return staff ratio, which shows that the camp is seen as a good place to spend a summer. There are many types of overnight summer camps with a focus on education that cater to students with differing ages and academic interests.
Children or teens could typically explore subjects new to them like marine science, photography, creative writing, community service, drama, magic, scuba diving, video production, comic book design, crime scene forensics, cooking, yoga, rappelling, etc. Non-profit camps often range from $1200 to $3000 for four weeks and $2500 to $5000 for eight weeks. Do you think, if you have more than one child, they would they benefit from attending the same summer camp together?
The best overnight summer sports camps do much more than just improve a camper's soccer, tennis, lacrosse, or wrestling skills - they help each child become a more skillful athlete, a more gracious competitor, a more committed team player, and a more confident person. The reputation of an overnight summer camp can also be determined by asking what percentage of counselors returned from the previous year. Get to know the camp director from an in-person visit to your home if possible, phone conversations, email or other correspondence.
Four weeks at a good private overnight summer camp or sleepaway camp will cost anywhere from $3500 to $6500, and eight weeks will range from $4000 to $7000. Some camps are often called adventure camps - having a very specific theme or interest many of these programs emphasize skill development and personal growth through the adventures the offer. Consider these industry-recommended guidelines - for smaller children ages 7 and 8, there should be one counselor for every six campers by age 15, there should be one counselor for every 10 camper
If you spend the time needed to research your options and include your child in all the decisions, he or she will most likely have a memorable experience that provides opportunities to grow while having a lot of fun and making new friends. Typically an overnight summer camp experience will leave a lot of wonderful memories for the child or teen camper. Homesickness is a frequent problem, but with a caring camp counselor most campers adjust easily. Choosing a camp close to home will save a lot of money on airfare and possible hotel or motel overnight stays for a parent, or other transportation costs this is especially true if your child might get a case of homesickness and want to come home early from the overnight summer camp.

The Facts About Repossession And How It Works

When you face repossession of your home or your car, you may need to declare bankruptcy to save them. If creditors have a valid lien or mortgage on either your vehicle or you real estate filing bankruptcy will temporarily stop any repossession proces
If you have already had your car or home repossessed (foreclosed on, in the case of your house) you may still be able to get either or both back if you act right away.
If you file a chapter 13 bankruptcy you should be able to keep your home and your car. If you file a chapter 7 bankruptcy you will keep both for awhile but you might ultimately be faced with repossession for liquidation.
Depending on which U.S. state you live in, and what the state laws say about the matter, the trustee of that bankruptcy may be charged with liquidating both your car and home to pay your debts.
Declaring bankruptcy, while it can halt or at least slow down the repossession process should not be looked at as the preferable cure for your financial problem
While it is one course of action - and if it gets to the point of repossession drastic action would be required to save your home and vehicle - its always best to try to salvage the situation through debt consolidation, loans or negotiation with your creditor
Bankruptcy will give you somewhat of a fresh financial start but it can have consequences almost as grave as repossession.
The fact that you had a bankruptcy will be on your credit record for ten years, and that is a matter of public record, unlike your other credit history. If you should run into similar financial crises and subsequently repossession possibilities you wont be able to again declare bankruptcy for another eight year.
There are two types of bankruptcy, as we mentioned before, that will help you keep your home safe from foreclosure and your vehicle from repossession. A Chapter 7 bankruptcy is a short term band aid whose help depends on your homes equity and that states laws on homesteading and personal bankruptcy.
If you file for a Chapter 13 bankruptcy, however, not only will it stop that repossession and foreclosure but it will more than likely save you from losing your home at all. With a Chapter 13 bankruptcy you will make arrangements to pay some of your debt and generally all of your debt on any secured loans.
Chapter 13 is sometimes called a wage earner bankruptcy because it lets debtors who have their own consistent income create a financial plan to repay at least a portion of their debt
With a typical Chapter 13 the debtor ask the creditors to accept installment payment for three to pay years. During this time frame these creditors are legally restricted from continuing collection efforts or starting any new ones.
The debtors level of income and the type of bankruptcy determine the time allowed for repayment. The primary benefit to choosing a Chapter 13 over a Chapter 7 is to save a home and car from repossession.
This is in sharp contrast to a Chapter 7 bankruptcy in which a trustee takes repossession of all or most of the debtors property and liquidates it to settle debt
Once the possessions are sold and the money paid to creditors, all debts are erased whether there was enough money to pay them off or not. There are some exceptions, of course. Bankruptcy will not protect a U.S. citizen from the IRS.

List Building Through JV Giveaways

As an aspiring internet marketer or an internet marketing guru, one of your main goals always remains constant whatever niche you may be catering to.
The goal is to build a large, targeted, responsive list of hungry prospect
It has been said many times by many different marketing masters that the money is in the list. The reason being is that studies have shown that most people will buy from any particular sales strategy on or after the seventh contact.
It is for this reason that most savvy internet marketers will employ an autoresponder (an email program that sends scheduled broadcasts at regular intervals automatically) to capture the names and email addresses of visitors to their web site
One of the biggest problems facing these marketers is traffic. Most often traffic generation can be an expensive proposition. Marketers should always be looking for inexpensive and, if at all possible, free alternative
There is one such alternative that has been gaining momentum in recent months that can greatly benefit anyone participating in it. For the most part these events are geared towards the internet marketing crowd but if properly executed may be moved into any other niche.
So what are these events?
Free giveaway
These consist of anywhere from a few to several hundred marketers banding together and offering one of their products for free to any one who joins the event as a member.
So how does offering one of your products for free benefit you, as the contributor? By requiring the member who wishes to download your gift to leave their name and email address in the autoresponder form on your thank you page, thus building your precious list.
These events are hugely important and beneficial.
By joining as a contributor you are labeling yourself as an expert, or at the very least a serious marketer because you have a product with your name on it. This builds name recognition.
It is highly important that your prospective customers see your name and possibly face at least a few times before you ever throw a sales pitch at them. This is an excellent way to get your name in front of a lot of targeted prospect
Another reason these events are so big is that all of the contributors are advertising the giveaway. They do this because it is in their best interest to make sure that the event as a whole gets as many visitors as possible so that they too have a better chance of building a large list.
This dramatically cuts down on your own personal advertising costs because now you may have several hundred people sending traffic to the same event.
With a little skillful copywriting touting your product and a few email blasts to your list, through safelists and maybe a little paid advertising you can greatly benefit and see a tremendous impact on your list size and your bottom line.

7 Creative Problem Solving Techniques

Have you ever encountered a problem only to become stumped trying to come up with a solution? How often have you found yourself saying that there is just no possible answer and you think that you have reached a dead end?
From time to time the problems that we are faced with may be so huge that one may feel like they are hammering against a brick wall. The stress involved with having to solve such a problem can be more than just a little overwhelming.
But have faith and rejoice, for there may be hope yet!
With a more optimistic mindset, a person will find that they are more creative when solving their problems. This article identifies seven creative problem-solving technique
1. Take note of assumptions and constraints with the problem. Oftentimes, these assumptions can obstruct our view of possible solutions. Note which assumptions are not valid and which need to be addressed.
2. You need to take a hard look at what the problem really is. Know the problem and have a concrete understanding of what it is about. By knowing what the problem is and how it works, you may find that you will have built a better foundation towards solving the problem.
Identify all the participating entities and then decide what their relationship is to one another. Take note of all the things you stand to gain or loss due to the current problem. Once you have considered the following you should have a clear and simple statement of what the problem i
3. Try solving the problem in parts. For example, going from the more general views to the more detailed parts of the problem may solve it. This method is called the top down approach. First, write down a question and then come up with a general one-sentence solution, now you will be able to develop the solution even further.
4. It is important to keep a creative and analytical voice of reason at the back of your head. If someone else suggests a solution, be creative, think of how to make the solution work. Also think realistically and look for any possible weak links in the suggested solution.
5. Remain open-minded to the fact that there may be more than one solution to the problem. Keep track of them and go with the one that best fits your situation.
6. You know the old saying, "two heads are better than one." It is so very true, so remember to be open to new ideas. There may be answers for problems that you thought were unsolvable. You will benefit from listening to others, especially when the information is coming from someone who has had experience with a similar problem to your
7. Be patient. There is always the chance that the solution will present itself. Remember, no one is able to come up with the right invention the first time around.
So the next time that a problem arises and you think that you are unable to solve it, think again. The solution could be staring you in the face. It just takes some planning, time and a little creative thinking.

Tax Tips For Home Business Owners

When it comes to owning a home business, there are lots of things that you are probably thinking about. First of all, the idea of staying at home for work is something that a lot of people dream of. The idea of being at ease with what you are doing, and feeling fee to do as you please is also something that a lot of people want to do, so you aren't alone. However, there are some things that you should keep in mind.
First of all, as you begin a home business one of the first things you should do is go and talk to an accountant. Remember that when someone employs you, your taxes are taken out of your pay, and all you have to do is to file them at the end of the year. However, with a home business you are the one who has to be in charge of doing taxes, and so it isn't going to get done for you.
That said, it could be something that is tricky to do. If you wait until the last minute, or if you do something that you aren't sure about, you might find that someone is able to rip you off, and if you are trying to file taxes on your own without knowing what you are doing you might end up spending much more money than you think you'll be spending.
So, the best thing that you can do is to visit someone who does this for a living. But make sure that it is someone who deals with home business owners on a regular basis, so that you can be sure you know what is going on and they do to. Another good option would be to find an accountant that comes well recommended. However, no matter what you find for an accountant, there is still a chance that they might rip you off as well.
The best thing that you can do is to find someone you trust to help you with your taxes, but never go into the situation without knowing what you are doing. Take a look at some tax courses and make sure that you are aware of what kinds of taxes you should be filing, and when you should be filing them. This is something that is very important for you to do because you want to be sure that you are able to get as much money back as you can and that you aren't paying too much. Many times owners of home businesses overpay because they simply don't know what they are doing, and you have to be sure that this isn't going to happen to you at all.

Emotional Stability And Our "Feelings"

Emotions love to control our actions and reactions, even though we do not want them to dominate us. Society often sees emotions as a sign of weakness so people are used to setting their feelings aside to become more rational. You will always have to deal with feelings no matter how logical and rational you become.
One of the vital facts in regards to emotions in contemporary society is the fact that even though we desire one another to live by reason we still must use our emotions as a healthy gauge for a total sense of well being.
Our emotions permit us to communicate with our humanness like no other sense that we enjoy. We laugh, cry, experience anger, and all of the other emotional feelings we use on an every day basi
The point is if we listen to society and try to disengage ourselves from our feelings we are in more danger than if we live by our feelings. The latter gives us an up and down yo-yo type life style, but on the other hand to disregard our feelings is disastrou
Why disastrous? Because our feelings are like our nerve endings. They warn us of danger, or permit us to enjoy life to the fullest. Further, our feelings will be a check and balance to what is right and wrong. Disregarding our emotional check and balance could permit is to do the unspeakable.
One will never enjoy life by avoiding his or her feelings. The Creator has given these wonderful feelings for a reason. Just because they get damaged in life is no reason to throw the baby out with the bath water, so to speak.
What is needed is to get healing where our emotions have been damaged and learn to feel all that there is to feel in life. Using all of our senses to live is real living. There is great benefit in striving to live a balanced life, rather than be on the extreme in one direction or the other. Neither will lead to a total healthy life style.
Happiness is indeed, dependent on our total well being. Therefore, take a hard look at your emotional well being to see how you add up. If you are not sure ask someone who knows you. They may see your life a lot clearer than you do.
At times we may even need to talk with a counselor. Seeing a professional is not a sign of weakness. Actually, it is a sign of strength.

Finding Business Success In The Details

Whether you have an online business or a brick and mortar, you have to pay attention to the details to find succes
If you have an online business, hopefully you take a look at your site's stats once in a while. If you do you can catch a glimpse into the minds of each of your prospect
How long do they stick around your site? Do they stay for one second, five seconds, 30 seconds, or 10 minutes? Many online business owners don't realize that online prospects will make a decision about your site within the first five seconds. If people are backing out right away, you better find out why in a hurry!
How professional does your site appear? Is it properly organized and easy to navigate? Would your prospects have a difficult time finding what they're looking for? How well have you payed attention to these details? What makes your site appealing? Does it have a fun, fresh look?
Hopefully these are questions that you've already asked yourself. If you haven't, ask them now. A good first impression is all about the details. Has your site won any design awards? Do you have any security certificates? If you can answer these questions in the affirmative, make sure you display them on your site. A nice award or certificate can go a long way towards establishing trust with your potential prospect
If your business is of the brick and mortar type, you should be asking yourselves the same kinds of questions. How much have you worked on the appearance of your business? Sadly, many prospects will judge you on the appearance of your business, and not on the quality of your business.
If you want to find more success you must appear more successful. As you appear more successful, you will more easily be able to establish a trusting relationship with your prospect
Have you tried new layouts and designs at your store or place of business? Spending $10,000 on an interior designer could easily bring in a substantial profit, especially if you're in the retail business. There is an absolute correlation between the appearance of your store and its ability to sell.
How well do you take care of yourself? Do you appear to be successful? If there are things you can work on, I would suggest getting after it! The way you dress, groom, and act will make a huge impact on your employees and prospects. Do you respect yourself? Have you been eating a healthy diet and exercising?
Don't think for a second that you can be an effective motivator if you aren't living a healthy lifestyle. Take care of yourself and I think you'll be amazed at the increase in self-respect from others and from yourself.
You can truly find more success by paying attention to the details.

No Run Of The Mill Worker

Fred was a 65 year old mill worker. He was nearing retirement and was looking forward to relaxing and just taking life easy. He had worked at the mill for over 30 year
He had seen workers come and go. He was a very regimented individual who rarely strayed away from his daily routine. Everyone knew him as the trusted elder of the organization. Many trusted his judgment and sought his advice.
He had grown up during some of the darker economic times. He knew the value of a dollar. Although he could afford better, he lived off the very minimum.
He lived in a small one bedroom house with very few modern extras. He had never owned a television. He used the radio as his main form of entertainment. He just preferred the audio to all the modern video age.
Rumor had it that Fred had been saving his money since he began working in the mill. It was strong rumor that he kept his money somewhere in his house because he feared banks. He never really talked about it much, but everyone at the mill knew that he had no wife or children and spent very little money.
He was still very happy and seemed to be content with his work and friends from around town. The rumor of his money caught the ears of two petty thieves who also worked in the mill.
While most of the other people were good hardworking and decent. They were the exception to the rule. These two were vagrants who the mill owners had given a chance to prove themselves. They knew Fred, but Fred kept his distance.
He always felt they were up to no good. He believed that the mill owners would come to their senses one day and get rid of them. The vagrants heard the rumors about Fred and his money on a daily basis.
Soon they could not resist their old ways anymore. They had to know if the stories about Fred were true. They decided to rob Fred of his savings. They figured they would leave work early one day, break into Freds house, take his money and quickly make their way out of town.
One day when the lunch whistle blew they left for Freds house. They had no intention of ever returning to the mill. The two arrived at Freds house. They crawled into a side window.
Little did they know that Fred was in the house sound asleep. He had taken off for the day because of illness. They moved through the house searching for Freds hidden treasure. The racket startled Fred. He came out to see what was going on.
He saw the two and immediately recognized them. He said, what are you doing here? They panicked and grabbed Fred. Counting on nobody being home, neither had any weapons.
Fred struggled to get free but they were too powerful. They demanded to know where he kept the money. He said what money? They did not like his answer, so they proceeded to rough him up. They questioned him and beat him for several minute
They were frustrated and were about to hit him again, when they heard a car pull up. It was one of the mill owners. He made it a habit to check on Fred when he did not show for work.
At that moment, the crooks panicked and ran out the back door. The mill owner saw them running and rushed into the house were he found Fred lying on the floor all bruised up. He drove Fred to the Hospital.
The mill owner called the Sheriff and reported the crime. The two criminals were shortly apprehended on a road outside of town. Fred agrees that he was caught off guard and is thankful that things were not worst.
It turns out that he had over $300,000.00 hidden beneath some bricks in his front room floor. After several hours of trying, the mill owner and the Sheriff convinced a reluctant Fred to put his money in the bank for safe keeping.
Keeping large amounts of cash around the house can be dangerous. Be aware of who is listening to your conversations and always be prepared to defend yourself if necessary.

Is American Football Too Violent?

American football is not for the faint hearted. It is a contact sport, a physical game, where players can only be stopped from scoring by being brought to the ground by an opponent. A player who has possession of the football is subjected to bumps and hits, but must actually be tackled and brought to the ground in order to be stopped. Another goal of the defensive player is to hit the ball carrier with enough force to dislodge the ball, and take it himself. Not content to wait for the ball carrier to get careless and "fumble" or drop the ball, defensive players work drills to strip the ball from the offensive player's hands.
This, as well as tackling, has to be done within a certain framework of rules that are set in place for fairness and to give the game an element of safety. Tacklers are not allowed to use excessive force, but how this is determined in such a bone crushing game is hard to decipher. A tackler cannot kick, punch or trip the ball carrier and it is also illegal to hit a player's helmet or grab his face mask. A player cannot use his own helmet as a weapon and ram it into an opponent. These are dangerous actions that can cause injury and will draw a strong penalty, even eviction from the game, if detected. However, most other forms of tackling are legal and many a quaterback or wide receiver is laid prone by a tackler outside his field of vision. Often, these tackles, though legal, result in injury to one or even both of the players.
In an attempt at safety, football players wear special protective equipment, such as a padded plastic helmet, and shoulder, hip and knee pads. These pads were introduced to minimize the force of a tackle or encounter with the ground decades ago and have been improved over time with the innovation of new materials such as silicon. Tear away jerseys were introduced, making it no longer possible for a defender to grab his opponent's clothing and swing him to the ground.
Better, more lightweight padding was devised that impeded the wearers movement less but helped to minimize injury to players. An unintended consequence of these equipment improvements is increasing levels of violence in the game. Players may now hurl themselves and collide with more force without a significant risk of injury. However, when an injury does occur, it is apt to be severe and often season or career-ending.
Although illegal, better helmets have allowed players to use them as weapons, since the injury to the wearer is minimized. To counteract this, a complicated series of penalties has been instituted for various types of contact. Currently, any contact with the helmet of a player constitutes a foul. Quarterbacks and receivers must have better arm mobility and wear less padding than other players, especially defensive players. For this reason, a series of rules designed to protect the quarterback are in effect. If a quarter back is in the actual process of throwing the ball, he is extremely vulnerable. It is illegal to tackle him at this time. This has given rise to a quarterback ploy where he looks like he is going to throw, or feigns a pass to gain time and protection for himself.
American football is violent enough for many parents to discourage their sons from every playing it, but it remains for many a rough and tumble, much beloved sport.

Wild Horse Drug Him Away

Casey worked security at the local video gaming room. He had worked there for almost 5 years. He thought he had seen it all. He had seen people who tried to cheat the machines. He had also seen those who had fits when they lost a game.
He had even seen people who talked to UFOS to get information. Most of them were just a little weird. For the most part, he considered them harmless. The majority of them just came to play the games. If they lost their money they would go home. Even though there were more loosers than winners, the place always grew a crowd.
Casey was even considering opening up a small place of his own one day. He wanted to learn all he could and start when he could afford to do so. For now he was content with working there. He was grateful that had never had any serious security issues.
One night while Casey was on duty, a man walked into to the gaming room. He was an ordinary looking guy. He walked slowly straight to the bar and ordered several beers. He drank all of them one after the other.
Casey thought it was strange but lots of guys come in the place to drown their sorrows. After the guy drank all the beers he stumbled over to one of the gaming machines. He started playing the machine.
He was not happy with the results nevertheless he kept on playing. With each pull of the handle he became more and more angry. He started cursing the machine. Casey had seen this before.
The guy had a little too much to drink and was taking it out on the machine. There was nothing he could do unless the guy damaged something. The guy played on and finally the machine paid him a small jackpot.
Casey thought, good he won something now maybe he will leave. The guy did not leave. He went back to the bar and ordered another beer. Then he went back to the machine and continued to play. He was on the loosing streak again.
When he had lost all of his money, he slammed his fist on the machine breaking the glass covering. Casey saw this and knew it was time to take action. He ran over and tried to reason with the guy. The guy took a swing at Casey but he missed.
When he spun around Casey tackled him and they went to the floor. The guy was more powerful than Casey had anticipated. Casey had trouble holding him down. By this time two other security guards joined Casey in an effort to subdue the guy.
The guy seemed to have the strength of five horses. The guards wondered what was going on. They never had this much trouble bringing someone under control. Two more guards came and they were finally able to handcuff the guy until the police arrived.
They were all exhausted. They wondered what could give a man such strength. They thought no man should have that much power. When the police arrived they instantly recognized the guy. He was a drug user that they had arrested before.
He was known to use heroin, which sometimes gives ordinary men superhuman strength. That along with the alcohol must have triggered his rage. He was taken to jail and charged.
If you are dealing with a person who is out of control, you may have to take drastic measures. The quickest way to reduce an individuals ability to cause harm is to remove their sight. Its simple, they cannot fight what they can not see. It maybe your only way to escape harm. Many ordinary items can be used to temporarily blind an assailant.

Yoga and Your Body - Health Benefits of Yoga Practice

Yoga aims to bring together the mind, the body and the spirits. People that practice yoga view that the mind and body are one and that if given the right tools, it can find harmony and find a way to heal. Practicing yoga is then considered to be a form of therapy. Awareness of posture and patterns of movement, flexibility and relaxation are only a few of the things that can be achieved with the practice. To feel fit, be more energetic, be happier and more at peace are only some of the reasons why people choose to practice yoga.
Yoga dates back to thousands of years of practice, consisting of ancient theories, observations and principles about the connection between mind and body that are now proven by modern day medicine. Research has proven that there are a lot of health benefits, whether physiological, psychological or biochemical, that can be obtained through the practice of yoga.
Some of the physiological benefits include a decrease in pulse rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure which in other words would mean that the cardiovascular and respiratory efficiencies increase which can help in the increase of immunity. Bodily functions like gastrointestinal, endocrine and excretory either normalizes or improves which can help in the normalization of weight. Musculoskeletal flexibility and joint range of motion increase which can help in the improvement of posture, dexterity, balance and the integrated functioning of body parts. In essence, gaining all of that can help decrease any pains in the joints or muscles. With the practice of yoga, endurance, energy level and even eye-hand coordination improves. Weight can also normalize.
The psychological benefits of yoga include the increased awareness of somatic and kinesthetic waves, improvement of mood and subjective well-being which subsequently increases social adjustment. With a calmer mind, concentration, memory, attention and learning efficiency can also improve.
The biochemical benefits of yoga are effects of some of the physiological benefits. Levels of glucose, sodium, bad cholesterol and triglycerides decrease while levels of good cholesterol, cholinesterase, ATP, hemoglobin, vitamin C and serum protein increase. These changes are all beneficial for a healthier body.
Apart from all of this, the benefits of yoga have been compared versus that of the benefits of regular exercise. With the slow dynamic and static movements of yoga, there is a lower risk of injury to muscles and ligaments as opposed to regular exercise routines due to the lesser effort and relaxed way of movement which subsequently makes for better energizing since breathing is not taxed. There is also a more balanced activity of opposing muscle groups, thus being able to gain a normalized muscle tone instead of getting bulky.
Yoga does not need to be for people that are extremely flexible. It can be for people that are looking to improve on their flexibility or other areas of their physical or mental health. With these many benefits, its no wonder why yoga has been a successful practice for thousands of years.

Pelvic Floor Basics for Every Woman

The pelvic floor is a large hammock of muscles stretching from side to side across the floor of the pelvis. It is attached to your pubic bone in front, and to the tail end of your spine behind. The openings from your bladder, your bowels and your womb all pass through these muscles.
What does the pelvic floor do?
. It supports your pelvic organs and the contents of your abdomen, especially when you are standing or exerting yourself.
. It supports your bladder to help it stay closed. It actively squeezes when you cough or sneeze to help avoid leaking.
. It is used to control wind and when "holding on" with your bowels.
. It helps to increase sexual awareness both for yourself and your partner during sexual intercourse.
What weakens the pelvic floor muscles?
Pelvic floor muscles weaken for similar reasons to other muscles in our bodies natural ageing and inactivity. But these particular muscles are also often weakened through hormonal changes in women's bodies, and through pregnancy and childbirth. Factors such as being overweight, ongoing constipation and a chronic cough can put extra pressure on them and pelvic surgery can also have damaging effect
Why are pelvic floor exercises (also known as Kegel exercises) important?
A poorly toned, weak pelvic floor will not do its job properly. Women with weak pelvic muscles often experience incontinence and reduced sexual response. But research has shown that these muscles respond to regular exercise. With regular exercise, it is possible for most women to reduce or completely overcome the symptoms of a weak pelvic floor, no matter what their age.
A regular exercise regime, introduced early in life, will also prevent many of the problems associated with weak pelvic floor muscles emerging later. It is never too early or too late to begin to exercise these important muscles.
A woman whose muscles are already badly weakened may need the advice of a health professional before embarking on an exercise program. But many women with milder symptoms prefer to try a simple exercise regime for themselves initially. Easy-to-use and affordable exercise aids can provide feedback on correct exercuse technique and provide ongoing support.
How to do pelvic floor exercises (kegel exercises)
Exercise 1
Tighten the muscles around your back passage, vagina and front passage and lift up inside as if trying to stop passing wind and urine at the same time. It is very easy to bring other, irrelevant muscles into play, so try to isolate your pelvic floor muscles as much as possible by
. not pulling in your tummy,
. not squeezing your legs together,
. not tightening your buttocks and
. not holding your breath.
The effort should be coming from the pelvic floor muscles themselves.
For how many seconds can you hold the muscles tight? Try holding it as long and as hard as you can. Build up to a maximum of 10 seconds. Rest for 4 seconds and then repeat the contraction as many times as you can up to a maximum of 10 contractions.
Try to do these exercises in a slow and controlled way with a rest of 4 seconds between each muscle contraction. Practise your maximum number of held contractions (up to 10) about six times each day.
Exercise 2
The ability to work these muscles quickly helps them react to sudden stresses from coughing, laughing or exercise. Practise some quick contractions, drawing in the pelvic floor and holding for just one second before releasing the muscles. Do these steadily, aiming for a strong muscle tightening with each contraction up to a maximum of 10 times.
Try to do one set of slow contractions (exercise 1) followed by one set of quick contractions (exercise 2) six times each day.
If you do these exercises regularly, you will see optimum results within 3 to 6 months, but you should continue them for life to keep your pelvic floor muscles as fit as possible.

What Do Women Look For In A Swimwear?

Visit any swimwear shop for that matter and you will find a myriad of choices to select from one piece suits, to two piece bikinis, tankinis and even thong swimwear. Irregardless of the fact that some women live far away from the beach, you will definitely find a pair of swimwear suits that have been hiding in the closet in case any beach getaway will come up. Women nowadays are getting more and more meticulous when it comes to their beach wear. Everybody wants to look their sexy best to catch the attention of onlookers and cute guys. Still there are other concerns like ultraviolet protection as well as top quality which are expected considering the high cost of some of these suit
I suppose the requirement that tops the list for most women would be how the suit would flatter their body type. They would go for bikinis or swimwear that would enhance their figure to attract attention and get men's jaws to drop as they pass by. They want them to be in the style and design that makes them looks sexy as well as feel sexy.
Other considerations would include the color and print design. Usually they would prefer vibrant colors or shades that would go well with their complexion. While others would want them in plain or solid colors there are those who enjoy floral prints or other printed design to give their swimwear a unique look.
Aside from the design and the color, they would also consider the type of fabric or textile used. They would prefer those that are soft on their skin and bodies but offer support especially in the bosom area. Types that do not easily stretch or sag would be preferred as well. Suits that quickly dry - are also a popular choice as well as those in a material that do not easily fade as caused by the chlorine from the pool or the salt from the ocean.
Another important consideration of women is if they could mix and match the bikini with the existing ones they have. As most women wouldn't want to be seen in the same bikini over and over again, they prefer to be able to mix and match them with other swimwear to create a variety of outfits which can save them money.
I guess what's most important is you feel great in your swimwear and you create your own fashion statement.
