Explaining Patents and Trademarks

The U.S. Patent Office is the warehousing authority on all registered patents and patents which have been applied for. Patent infringement is the use or profit based on a patent which has been registered or applied for, with a grace period of one year.
However, patent infringement can still occur even within the one year grace period. Hiring a patent attorney is recommended for anyone wishing to prosecute a patent violator or for anyone who wishes to go through the process of filing a patent.
It is not necessary to hire a patent attorney to apply for a patent. A patent lawyer is a lawyer who is chronically apprised of all changing patent laws, and who has been well versed in the process of patents and patent infringement.
When patent infringement occurs, a patent lawyer goes through several legal steps in order to file a patent infringement lawsuit. A patent lawyer is not a guarantee of a positive verdict and judgment, but a well versed patent lawyer can typically explain patent law in the easiest possible light for a jury to understand.
This makes the process of hiring a patent lawyer very important, choosing a high quality patent lawyer is the first step in proving patent infringement.
Juries are typically not un-intelligent people, however, patent infringement laws can be rather complicated, and sometimes there is a fine line between what determines patent infringement and what doesn't.
Patent infringement is not always an open and shut case that is easy to prove. The U.S. Patent Office has willingly turned down over 60% of the applied for patents in a relatively short amount of time on the basis that they would be suborning patent infringement.
The U.S. Patent Office only grants patents to would be new patents and does not split hairs. If it looks like it will be patent infringement, the U.S. Patent Office will turn down a patent request.
Hiring a patent attorney does not necessarily mean that a company is able to prosecute patent infringement. Hiring a patent attorney is only a step in either acquiring a patent or proving that patent infringement has occurred. In cases of trademark violations, hiring a patent attorney also reveals the trademark violations.
Trademarks are not the same as patents, however a patent lawyer can be used for trademark issues as well as patent infringements. Trademark violations are more visual, meaning a logo or an intentional misspelling or any other symbol or details that represent a company, brand, or product.
Patent lawyers cover all the basics of trademark law and patent infringement laws, including copyright laws. These laws combined protect the integrity of a company and its marketing and services.
These laws were put into effect to allow the pursuit of the American dream, to prosper financially from a unique or original idea, and to protect those who search for the development of the betterment of society either through technology, invention, or thought.
Hiring a patent attorney is only on basic step in protecting these rights that were implemented with the basic intention of protecting intellectual and material property brought about by progressive thinker
When a company is considering hiring a patent attorney, most often it is to enlist their services to check with the U.S. Patent Office about a potential new product.
However, individual inventors typically do not consider hiring a patent attorney when they are developing a new invention, and they rely on the U.S. Patent Office's searchable database for their information regarding whether or not they may be flirting with patent infringement.
However, a patent lawyer can be relied upon to search out the U.S. Patent Office's database for either a large company or an individual inventor. This can help prevent instances of patent infringement, a crime that our society doesn't really hear that much about.
Patent infringement is something that most Americans are aware of, but are certainly not well educated about, especially the specifics that patent lawyers have spent years mastering, and thus it is not always relevant to the average American citizen.
However, every now and then an average citizen believes they have an excellent idea and they attempt to file for a patent. To avoid the potential for patent infringement, these individuals would do themselves a service if they consider hiring a patent attorney.
Patent lawyers are quite capable of providing guidance for the small inventor, the one time inventor, as well as large companies with on staff full time company inventors.

Tips for Improving Website Navigation

A business often has more than one target audience it wants to reach with its website. Different customers mean different sales appeals and a homepage needs to be able to direct visitor traffic to go to the right places to get information or make a sale.
In order for visitors to find the right information, a website's navigation path needs to be clear. Without a clear navigation path, visitors will become confused and leave before they can make a purchase.
Here are some ideas to consider when designing the navigation on a homepage
Make the Navigation Familiar
Most people expect the navigation buttons to be on the left side of the website or at the top of the website. If the buttons are on the right, it makes the visitors hesitate and think. You don't want them to have to think about the navigation you want it to be instinctive and easy.
The more familiar the navigation, the less likely they will get lost or confused. They will know how to find the correct path to where they want to go.
Use Text Links to Reinforce the Path
People rely on navigation buttons to find the main paths of the website, but it is also important to reinforce the main paths with text links within the content. Again, this makes it easier for visitors to immediately go to where they can get further information without having to think.
Decide on a Path for Each Buyer
As you put the content together on a homepage, or any other page of a website, you need to think about the complete path that you want to create to take the customer from information to purchase. The path will differ according to the audience appeal, and your purpose.
Sometimes your audience needs to be educated before they can make a purchase. In that case, you need to make sure that visitors receive enough information that they will feel confident in making the decision to buy. This type of audience will need to know the features of your product or service as well as the benefits before they can make a decision. It would also be helpful to have testimonials and examples to reassure them that they are making the right decision.
When you have to take the time to educate your audience, you would probably take them from the homepage to another area of the website where they can get further information about your product or service. However, if they didn't need to be educated, they could simply go from the homepage to the buy page and make their purchase.
So, on the homepage, you need to make sure that you have both types of paths available one for the buyer who needs to be educated, and one for the buyer wants to immediately make a purchase.
Decide on a Path for Each Audience
When you are trying to appeal to multiple audiences, it is important that your homepage has information to appeal to each audience. When visitors come to your website they are looking for information to solve their specific problem. You need to have information that they can quickly and easily identify as the solution to their problem.
For instance, maybe your company offers a product or service that is useful to Human Resource Directors, managers, and individuals. Each one of these three audiences would have a different benefit appeal that could be used in gaining their attention on the website. An easy way to do this is to set up three bullets that are questions with text links to take each audience to a separate page where you can exclusively cater to this audience
*Are you a Human Resource Director looking for XYZ?
*Are you a manager looking for XYZ?
*Are you an employee looking for XYZ?
You want each one of these three audience members to land on your site and immediately find the path that will take them to the solution they seek.
Conclusion
Good navigation on a website is one of the secrets to having a successful website. The information or content of the website needs to be laid out in such a way that it is easy to follow and logical. The easier it is for people to find information on a website, the more likely it is they will buy. And, the more difficult it is for them to find information, the more likely they will never visit your website again.

How To Pitch Stories to Print, Online & Broadcast Media

Creating win-win collaborations with media to get your story in the news requires time, energy and imagination. And, if you want to get in the limelight, it's something you have to learn as more and more editors struggle with limited time and resources and the "shrinking newsroom".
The American Birkebeiner, the largest cross country ski race in North America, is a good example. With more than 9,000 skiers and 15,000 spectators and 3 days of racing and events for all ages and fitness levels, you'd think it would be easy to get reporters on board to cover the plethora of human interest stories, the Ski for the Cure program, the challenge of training for a long-distance event, and on and on.
Sometimes it is easy. More often than not, however, I'm up against shrinking budgets and staff cutbacks. No doubt you are discovering the same challenges as you launch and conduct your own publicity campaigns. Here are 3 tips to help you reach your publicity goals
1. Print When it comes to newspapers and magazines, you'll not only need to pitch a story idea to a busy editor, you'll likely have to write the story and provide photos. I can already hear you saying, "If the editor likes my idea, why do I have to do HIS/HER job?" It's the reality of getting featured in the news today, so get to work learning how to write a balanced article that's tailored to a particular publication. Know the medium know the editors know the audience. Meet their needs and you'll find yourself consistently getting free publicity.
2. Online When you write a story for a print publication, leverage your efforts by submitting it to online publications as well. The great news about getting published online is that your article, once posted, usually lives online forever. Again, know the medium know the editors know the audience. Remember to post your article to your own online Newsroom as well.
3. Television It's a challenge to get television crews on site so do your homework ahead of time. Identify your hook, practice your pitch, and follow up with a well-written, succinct release that shows the producer how your story idea is the perfect match for their station, program and audience. Help them do their job by supplying contact information of folks who would be interesting interviewees, and, if you're lucky enough to have b-roll footage formatted for broadcast media, send it on.
Once you define your message and target media, write a press release a busy editor will pick up and publish or air. Many small business owners are surprised to find that crafting a press release is more like following a recipe than writing a creative essay. Industry dictates certain formatting requirements that can't be overlooked, even within the seemingly impossible 400 word count limit.
But why all the rules? Imagine you are an editor who receives dozens, even hundreds, of press releases every day. You're looking for news, good news that will attract readers or listeners and increase subscription number
You are under deadline and have a big hole in our newspaper or broadcast.
You receive a press release with standard formatting, complete contact information, and an informative writing style that requires very little editing on your part. Another press release contains a mish-mash of fonts, salesy language, and missing or incomplete contact information. As a busy editor, which press release would you choose?
If you want your press release to get published or aired, follow traditional formatting standards
1. Use 8 x 11 paper when you're faxing a press release.
2. Use a one-inch margins on each side of the page to increase readability at a glance.
3. Type "FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE" (no quotation marks) in all caps at the top of the page.
4. Include contact information two lines under "FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE." Include your name, phone, fax, email and website in case an editor wants to contact you to verify or clarify information.
5. Use a Bold typeface for the headlines, and capitalize the first letter of each word.
6. Include the city and state from which the press release is being issued along with the date that it is being sent at the beginning of the first paragraph of the body of the press release, ie, MADISON, Wis., January 7, 2007 Begin first paragraph here.
7. Include the who, what, when, where, and why in the opening paragraph so that the editor can discern the essentials of your release in a minute. The headline and first paragraph of the press release will make or break your chances of being picked up.
8. Complete the full paragraph at the end on each page instead of carrying it over onto the next page to make it easier to read and comprehend.
9. Use the word "more" between two dashes and center it at the bottom of the page to let editors know that another page follow
10. At the top of the next page, include a line with the name of your business and topic of release and second line, single spaced, with the date and add #1. Double space and continue your release.
11. Use three number symbols, centered and immediately following the last paragraph to indicate the end of the press release.
When you send a press release without the three numbers symbols at the end, there is always a risk that editors will assume the document is incomplete and therefore unusable.
Getting your message into the hands of the right media is well worth the time and effort. When you give editors newsworthy stories on a silver platter, you are helping them meet deadlines, fill pages or air time, and maintain the interest of readers and viewers. You'll also find yourself being featured regularly.

Proven Steps to Create Profit-Producing Headlines

I've been racking my brain to come up with a really great headline for an article. I know how important it is. Headlines are your "front line" to any market. It's the first thing the reader sees. It's your one chance to interest and influence your audience.
And they're tough to create.
Good headlines
- Create excitement, anticipation and enthusiasm for more
- Ignite interest through concise, power-packed statements
- Attract more customers
- Pull readers into copy
- Boost your bottom line
Yet most business owners focus solely on copy and give little thought to headlines. I was falling into the same trap because of a looming deadline when I caught myself and remembered what advertising guru David Ogilvy said
"On average, 5 times as many people read the headlines as read the body copy. It follows that unless your headline sells your product, you have wasted 90% of your money."
Of all the factors that go into snagging attention, attracting new customers and increasing sales, none are as important as a strong headline. On a website, most visitors give you 10 seconds to make an impression. The time is even shorter when a reader picks up a newspaper or magazine and decides whether to read an article or advertisement.
The job of the headline is to get attention. A good headline makes the reader want to find out more by reading the article, email, webpage, or ad.
The problem, of course, is how to write a headline that convinces your prospect to stay and read more, buy from you and become a loyal customer, a raving fan, an evangelist singing your praises. The hard truth is, success or ultimate failure hinges on how persuasive your headline i
What's the solution?
Step One First, step into the shoes of your ideal customer, the person who wants and needs the product or service you are selling. What's important to him or her? What will grab his attention? Why will she care? In other words, what's in it for them?
Step Two Now think of "power words", verbs that will inspire action. Some examples new, latest, greatest, fastest, best, easy, guaranteed, results, secrets, conquer, develop, explore, focus, gain, identify, learn, master, prevent, reduce, simplify, transform, unleash, win.
Step Three Think about headlines that grab your attention. Search the web, pull magazine issues off the news stands, look at your junk mail and review newspaper headlines. Create a "swipe file" with examples that pique your interest. Now unleash your own creativity and pull it all together.
Step Four Brainstorm headline possibilities. Be sure to
- Include your ultimate benefit
- Use short, punchy, attention-getting words that encapsulate the story
- Create excitement, ignite interest, attract readers
- Speak directly to your readers.
- Use power-packed words
Step Five Just do it! You've created great copy. Now wrap it up with a powerful, profit-producing headline that pulls your reader in and inspires him or her to take action. Here are some power headline phrases to jumpstart your thinking
- How To...
- Inside Secrets Of...
- Single Most-Important...
- Learn To...
- 7 New Ways To...
- Discover How To...
- The Quickest Way To...
- Results In Just...
- Information-Packed...
- 12 Proven Steps To...
Creating winning headlines doesn't require a background in writing, advertising or marketing. Simply follow the guidelines above. Devote time, energy and imagination to combining words that inspire others to take action. If you do, you'll discover prospects and customers taking more interest in your product or service...and you'll boost your bottom line as more of those customers and prospects are inspired to buy from you again and again.

Card making ideas are easy fun and are an excellent way of showing your creative side, they are considered gifts when being given in the form of a card and will always be well received.
When I had my first card making idea I started with a few basic tools, often you can use items from your home that are gathering dust.
The basic items I would suggest you need to start any card making ideas are the following.
Paper or card - paper and card come in a huge variety of forms from handmade paper, vellum, patterned and so many other designs. Paper and card is really the foundation for any card it can be used to mount toppers, add a layering effect it can be used in so many different ways including iris folding, a simple but very effective technique that involves folding strips of colored paper that are layered together in a spiral pattern.
Scissors - It is extremely important to have a really good quality pair of scissors, using blunt scissors really can mess up your card making idea
Metal ruler and craft knife - it is important to always work on a clean surface and a cutting mat is perfect for this as you can also use your craft knife with out having to worry about damaging your table or area of work. Good cutting tools are very important
Peel off stickers - peel off stickers can be used in so many ways they are a must for anyone who wants to produce good quality card making ideas. Using a peel off sticker that is the same color as your card can also give an embossed look.
Once you become a keep card maker you can always introduce additional supplies and items to your craft box.
Remember never to throw anything away that could be used, even your card scraps as these could be used to punch out small punches for embellishments
If you are making cards with your children and using an ink pad always make sure that the ink is washable it is surprising how much children would rather ink their hands and faces rather then using it for their card making idea

Free Bridal Shower Games

Turn your bridal shower from plain and ordinary into an extraordinary event by integrating free bridal shower games into your party. Games turn any shower into something more fun and enjoyable.
With these free bridal shower games you will find everyone at your party getting a little silly and crazy, but that's the fun of it. Your friends will be talking about your bridal shower for weeks.
Free Bridal Shower Games
Weigh the Handbag
Get a buzz going by having the bathroom scale sitting in the middle of the room when your bridal shower guests arrive but don't answer any questions about it. Then after watching them sweat, announce that the scale is there so that everyone can weigh... their handbag. When everyone has had their turn, give a prize to the person with the heaviest handbag.
Fishing
Get a large bowl and fill it full of long grain white rice. Bury about 20 safety pins in the rice. Each shower guest takes a turn being blindfolded and they have 30 seconds to find as many safety pins as they can. The person who found the most safety pins in 30 seconds wins.
Famous Couple Trivia
Gather info about famous couples and use that as the basis for a trivia quiz at your bridal shower. The individual with the most correct answers wins!
The Paper Bag Game
Get some small paper bags and write numbers on them. Fill them with common household items and see how many of the items each guest can name. The person that correctly identifies the most items win
Level the Field Game
Do you have a group with one person that always seems to win everything? Try this game at your bridal shower Pass out balloons (inflated and tied) with pieces of paper inside. One balloon will have the bride's name on it. The others should say something like, "No Way," "Maybe Next Time," or the classic, "Sorry, not a winner." Once all the balloons are passed out have your guests pop the balloons to discover what is on their paper. The one with the bride's name wins a prize - hopefully it won't be the one that always wins.
What Comes Next
Each person attending your shower takes a turn beginning a saying and the first person who can finish the saying gets to be next.
Examples
Spare the rod - spoil the child.
Actions speak - louder than words
A watched pot - never boils
The person who is able to finish the most sayings is the winner.
Married Life Love Poems
This one can have them rolling at your bridal shower! Prepare by creating two lists of words (each list needs to be longer than your guest list so that every guest will be able to choose one from each list). The first list is of words related to love, romance, and passion. The second list should be of everyday items found in daily life such as dirty dishes and toilet bowls. Now place each word on its own 3"x 5" card, taking care to keep the lists separate, so that you can hand each guest a word from each list and have them write a love poem based on those two words that you will then read aloud.
Example Words - caress & toilet bowl
"I love your caress, it takes its toll. Its like drinking fine wine, without the next morning toilet bowl!"
"Caresses are great they're like time in the sun, but cleaning the toilet bowl just makes me wish I was done!"
Wedding Day Charades
This is played similar to regular charades except you act out a wedding day phrase.
Free bridal shower games are a sure way to make your event a fun and memorable experience.

Dog Training - Finding a Trainer

Many people don't have the patience, energy and/or time to dedicate to training their dog. There are not many other activities that require as much as all this, if the end result is to have a safe, well-adjusted dog and be a happy human. For those people, the answer is to hand the reins of training your dog over to the efforts of a professional trainer.
As in any other profession, price and quality will vary. And, like many professions - particularly those involving human-animal interactions - training philosophies differ considerably. So, you already have some constraints to guide your selection of a trainer for your dog.
Assess your budget and your needs. Depending on where you live, dog training can range anywhere from free - sometimes supplied on a weekly basis by volunteers at parks or shelters - to $100 or more per session. What determines a reasonable fee will differ depending on geography, trainer experience, length of program and the goals for your dog.
Take a look at your schedule. Training programs can be weekly while others are more often. Sometimes, you will be required to leave your dog and pick it up later or, more likely, you may prefer a program where the training involves you directly. Many will advise that you spend some time training the dog each and every day consistently, whether at home or at the trainer's facility.
Think about your commitment. Dogs, especially at the beginning of training, require regular, large blocks of time and attention in order to learn. An hour a day is not all that unusual.
In certain cases, 'boot camp' training programs are preferred. The dog goes away to a special facility for a predetermined length of time usually up to several weeks. The training is consistent, long and rigorous. Don't worry about your dog. They love the intense training! At the end of the training period, you will probably be required to participate in order to 'transfer' the obedience from trainer to you.
But the results can very often be amazing. Dogs, who 'graduate' even when not special service dogs, are disciplined and ready to follow instructions. Yet, the irony is, these dogs show no signs of being repressed. They're happy and play with much enthusiasm.
Examine your goals. You may want a dog that can be entered in shows, or you may just want them not to chew on the furniture or dig up the yard. In either case, regular training is necessary. How much and what kind will vary with breed and individual temperament.
Some dogs are fearful, either through being mistreated formerly or from a natural tendency toward submission. Some are too assertive, again through abuse or natural striving for alpha (pack leader) status. Whatever type of training you select will be dependant on how you want to influence them and what attributes they have you want to shape.
Whatever your goals, budget or commitment you want a trainer who exhibits enormous patience and boundless energy, of course, along with a deep love for dogs. Most have these characteristics in spades and then some.
Other than these basics, you'll want a trainer whose philosophy makes sense to you and consistent with your goals. Some insist that dog training is more about training the owner than the dog - and there's some truth to that in some cases. Some are relaxed and friendly, leaning toward the 'touchy-feely' style. Others tend more toward police or military style training. And the others lie between these two extreme
It's doubtful that there is one training style that will suit everyone, but neither is it entirely subjective. Even where there are disputes there are common principles that most will agree on. Patience, persistence, consistency and the requirement for the human to lead are only some of these.
Request recommendations from those you trust and don't hesitate to shop around. Don't be afraid to change trainers once or twice to find one suitable for your needs. Be careful, though, not to change on a whim. Dogs need consistency and a regular environment in order to take in what's being taught.
Good luck and good hunting for your dog trainer!

Seven Signs of Poor Cooking Schools

There are many cooking schools vying for your money, but it takes research to find out which ones are worth their price. The first step to making your decision is to weed out the bad apples, so to speak. Here are seven telltale signs that a cooking school isn't fit even for apple pie.
No one has ever heard of them, or if they have, it's not good
We're not talking about your friends and family here. We're talking about people in the industry, such as chefs and their employers. If no one has ever heard of the cooking school you're asking about, the school's name on your resume probably won't impress anyone, either. Even worse, some schools become known for turning out inept graduates. You don't want that reputation haunting your career.
The school isn't accredited
Accreditation is important because it sets standards for education. When an agency accredits a school, they are certifying that the school meets a set of standards that the agency has established. Under this system, a student's credits can be transferred between schools, because the quality of education is guaranteed. If a school is not accredited, it is probably because they aren't up to par, and they should be strictly avoided.
The school is accredited by a questionable agency
While it's true that you won't know all of the possible accreditation agencies, a little bit of online research should turn up some information. If the agency is virtually unheard of in the field, or if its accreditation standards are lower than most, the school's quality of education should be reevaluated.
The school's standards for hiring teachers are low or nonexistent
All schools should have standards that dictate what credentials their teachers should have. Good schools usually require both an education and a work history that demonstrates their proficiency in the subject matter. For instance, an ethnic foods teacher at a good school would have a culinary degree specializing in ethnic foods as well as at least several years of experience as a chef specializing in ethnic foods. Lower hiring standards indicate that the school may not provide you with sufficient knowledge and training to launch your career.
The school's equipment is outdated
Just as with any field that has been touched by technology, the equipment in the culinary industry is constantly improving. A cooking school's classrooms should reflect this, by providing their students the opportunity to learn on up to date equipment.
The school does not offer job placement services
Some cooking schools offer full job placement services, such as help creating your resume, interviewing practice, local job listings, and a guarantee that you'll find a job after graduation. Other cooking schools may offer help with resumes and interviewing skills, but no listings or guarantee of job placement. Regardless, however, any good cooking school should offer some type of job placement service
The school's graduates have a poor success rate
Many cooking schools like to offer statistics on the success of their graduates. For example, they might tell you that 95 percent of their students are placed in jobs after graduation. Whenever you are researching a school, be sure to ask how successful their graduates are. If they don't know, if they stammer and get flustered when you ask, or if the statistics are just too low for your liking, it's probably a sign that the school isn't providing the quality of education their students need to succeed.
There are a lot of cooking schools out there. Many are good options, and some are nothing short of amazing. However, there are also some that should be avoided by anyone who is serious about pursuing a culinary career. By following this list of warning signs, you can protect yourself from wasting time and money on an education that will do more to damage your career than advance it.

Online Continuing Education Programs Can Boost Your Career

If you are interested in a better career or in going further in your current field, continuing education may be for you. Continuing education programs offer students a chance to learn industry-specific or job-specific skills.
Unlike traditional academic programs, these programs are not usually pushing students towards a degree. Instead, students may earn credits or a certificate at the end of their program, not to mention a lot of job-boosting skills and information. If you are lucky enough to live near a great college or university, you may be able to qualify for their programs. If you do not, you can still get all the benefits of this type of education by pursuing online continuing education program
Online continuing education programs can actually be less expensive, more convenient, and higher quality than their in-classroom counterparts. Students who pursue their education through the Internet often do not have to pay extra tuition costs for using school buildings and they do not have to pay for commutes or parking at their school. All you need to pursue your education is a computer and Internet connection, something that most homes have anyway.
Pursuing higher education online can allow you to study and complete assignments on your own time. There is no need for you to rearrange your own schedule in order to rush to class. This is great news for anyone who is pursuing a career or juggling a family life with education. Online studying can be done any time you have some time to spare. Finally, by pursuing online continuing education programs, you can choose the best, no matter where you live. If you want to pursue programs at your local university or college, you may be stuck with whatever programs they offer. Once you go online, though, you can find programs and education options for every field. You can pick and choose from literally thousands of programs to find the exact right match for you.
If you are looking for work or want a promotion, pursuing an online continuing education program is a great option. It shows your employers or potential employers that you are serious about learning in your field and serious about your career. In fact, education makes employees stronger, so much so that many employers are willing to help their workers pay for education programs. Online continuing education programs are also a great way to learn skills that can help you in your current job. If you love your job, you can learn how to do it more effectively or how to take on new responsibilities.
Of course, your desire to pursue more skills makes you an excellent candidate for a raise or new job. Once your employer sees that you are learning new skills, you become a more valuable worker. You may be able to earn more for your time or you may be offered exciting new employment opportunitie
If you are hoping to switch careers or are looking for a job, an online continuing education program can help you get the job you want. Your schooling can get you the skills you need to land a job in a new field. And don't overlook your teachers and professors online. Many of them are already in the field and may be willing to offer you advice or give you a recommendation letter to use in your job hunt. It certainly does not hurt to ask.
An education looks great on your resume, especially if you are currently looking for work. Pursuing a program prevents that embarrassing gap in your resume and instead gives you something that can attract potential employers.

The Benefit of an Online BS Degree

An online BS degree can be the key that opens the doors for advancement, earning power and personal fulfillment. When all three are achieved, it can be one of the best decisions a person ever makes. Luckily, the challenge of successfully achieving such a goal need not become an inconvenience or a distraction.
The decision to return to college or obtain a bachelor's degree is a personal decision that can be based on many factors. Time and money are often two of the largest issues that come up for a majority of people. As many are beginning to see, the advent of online learning has taken those issues and made them much less formidable.
As many jobs move their requirements to include secondary degrees, the bachelor's is typically a necessary prerequisite for many jobs. Having the necessary education and training is also essential in order to obtain or advance in a career. With advancement comes a higher earning potential.
Achieving an online BS degree means no longer having to rearrange a full life in order to fit time in for rigid, inflexible school plans. With an online degree program, the classroom is always open, which means learning can take place anytime, anywhere. This is an attractive option for those who steadily work at balancing both a career and home life.
An online degree program can mean no commute times, no uncomfortable classroom environments and no need for relocation. Because a student chooses their learning time in an environment they are comfortable in, it can be easier to retain knowledge, making for a smoother learning process. Unlike conventional learning, it also allows the student to progress at a rate that is comfortable for them, with no worries of falling behind should life get in the way and a class is missed.
Online classes tend to stay at one price with no unexpected rises in tuition. It also means that materials are likely to cost less than those of a conventional onsite program. Just like with the issue of time, those who choose to achieve their online BS degree also save themselves the extra expense of commutes and relocation.
Financial aid is often readily available to those who qualify. In some cases, previous credits or work experience can also count towards arranging an online degree program that is both time and cost effective. For many, this can make opening the door to advancement or an increased earning potential much closer than anticipated.
As online learning has taken wing in recent years, a number of employers have found online degrees offer everything a degree earned at an onsite campus could offer. Employers also take notice of employees who take the time to improve themselves with online learning. It shows an audacity and a willingness to find a way to improve their situation despite an already full life.
In keeping with the ease of online learning, basic computer skills are often all that are necessary to earn a degree online. A tech support team is readily available should the need for help ever arise. However, students can expect clear and concise directions throughout the online program.
With an online BS degree, students can look forward to creating their own positive learning experience. The results of their dedication can lead them right through the door of advancement, higher earning potentials and best of all the confidence of knowing that they can achieve. As online learning continues to gain in relevance for the working adult, many are hearing their own call and heeding the challenge. When all is said and done, it is a challenge that few regret taking.

Earn a College Degree Online and Get Career Success

Today's job market is more competitive than ever and many people earn a college degree online to ensure they won't be left behind. In many ways, a degree is like a high school diploma thirty years ago, and to earn a college degree online is an option that makes the most sense for many people.
People pursue the journey to earn a college degree online for many reasons. Many people see the advantage of earning the degree, but have never enjoyed the classroom setting. Listening to classroom lectures can seem like a waste of time, especially if you have to learn class material through readings as well as doing homework. Sometimes it makes more sense to learn the material on your own instead of burning precious time in a classroom, in addition to commuting to campus. For others, there is no physical campus within a reasonable distance offering the major or degree they are interested in.
One of the largest demographics that seek to earn online degrees is middle-aged people. Many middle-aged people who decide to earn a college degree online are not able to attend day classes, and night classes take them away from their family. For many, obtaining a college degree leads to a raise, promotion, or even allows them to begin a new career.
A big advantage of programs that offer individuals the option to earn a college degree online is that you are not tied down to a schedule like students who attend a physical campus. Because the information is online, you can download class information and complete readings and homework at whatever time is most convenient for you. You will never miss a class because of an unexpected obligation or lose attendance points because of circumstances that are beyond your control. Online programs give you the opportunity to control your schedule and do things at your own pace, on your own time. Many students excel in this type of educational setting.
Because the number of people who earn a college degree online is rising and the practice is becoming so common, a degree from many online institutions is just as prestigious as acquiring a degree from a traditional college or university with a physical campus. Employers feel that a degree, regardless of where or how it was earned, is a degree and shows a lot of commitment to furthering your education, improving yourself, and demonstrates that you have the dedication that will likely make you a promising employee.
Employers also respect the fact that it takes an extraordinary amount of discipline to earn an online degree since there is no teacher or other students to help keep you motivated. Since most online learning experiences do not provide a set structure or schedule, earning this degree means that the person has learned effective time management skills and has likely juggled many responsibilities because of their drive to further themselves.
However, a lot of people contemplate the decision to continue their education this way for quite a while before they take the plunge. People are reluctant to seek a degree for many reasons, but most wish they already had the degree they dream about. For some, there is other time or financial obligations holding them back. Many people claim they can't afford a college degree because they have to support their family, but most people in that situation can't afford not to. Continuing their education will help get them out of the paycheck-to-paycheck lifestyle that so many families are trapped in. Parents in hand-to-mouth situation realize how dangerous the situation can be, but it is difficult to break the cycle. Fortunately, financial aid is available and can be quite generous for non-traditional students, especially parents.
The route to earn a college degree online isn't for everyone, but it allows many people to earn a college degree who could not do so otherwise. For these people, online learning opportunities provide a better lifestyle for themselves and their families, as well as a sense of achievement.

Earning an Associate Degree Online Improves Your Chances of Promotion

One of the most cost effective and productive ways to enhance your chances of promotion in today's workforce is to pursue an Associate Degree online. Many people don't realize that an Associate Degree can be the key to demonstrating your value to your current employer or to opening the door to a better opportunity with another company.
In decades past, companies typically required the Bachelor's degree for employees that were being groomed for higher-level management positions. Today, this attitude has largely fallen by the wayside as companies have come to realize that an Associate's Degree teaches the same valuable skills and competencies in a more distilled form. Combining an Associate's Degree with real-life work experience is, in fact, a golden combination that many employers now actively seek.
Employers want to promote the individuals who demonstrate leadership and a drive to succeed in addition to being able to do their job well. Nothing says more about your initiative and dedication than being able to tell your employer that, while working for him or her, you've also been attending college classes and have achieved an Associate's Degree that will make you even more of an asset to the company.
An Associate Degree is Practical for Returning Students
For individuals already in the workforce, there are many advantages to getting an Associate Degree online as well. Let's face it if you're in your thirties and want to obtain a degree to further your career, you aren't interested in those two extra years of electives and cultural classes that a four-year liberal arts degree can load you down with. An Associate's program features classes that are tightly focused on what you need and can use.
Cost is always a concern when you're supporting a family or are out on your own, and an Associate Degree online can be earned in as little as two years, saving you hundreds or thousands of dollars over the cost of a four-year program. Add in the cost of commuting to a traditional college and you'll save even more.
There's no getting around the fact that working and going to school will be time-consuming, but when you're taking your classes online, you're setting your own hours and deciding when you will be doing the work so that the classes fit your schedule, not the other way around. You can set aside the time you need when it's right for you and work at your own pace. If you need an extra semester, you can take it and still attain your Associate's Degree more quickly than most other degree
Associate Degrees Online Span Industries
Studying for an Associate's Degree doesn't mean settling on a general degree, either. In fact, you can obtain a specialized degree in industries ranging from law enforcement to health care. If you're working in a job that's a dead-end, working on one of these degrees can give you the means to change careers completely in just a few short years while you work.
Law enforcement and legal degrees include criminal justice and paralegal studies, or you can study for various healthcare or insurance related careers. Business Associate's Degrees are even more varied, with options ranging from human resources to accounting.
Whether you're considering changing your career or you simply want to improve your chances of promotion, getting an Associate Degree online is one of the best steps you can take to jumpstart your future.

Building Your Affiliate Based Business Network

Once you have a home business going, you still have the most important job of all to accomplish, that of building your network of customers and/or clients. After all, without a network of contacts, you will not have any reason to have a business, will you? It doesn't matter what kind of business you have chosen because in every business, whether it's a product or service, there is a need for customers/clients.
There is no business, online or off, that can survive without benefit of networking. Even if you are a service provider of a creative nature, you need to network in order to assure that you will constantly have those who are interested in buying what you create.
For some people, the idea of networking conjures up the idea of going door to door or making phone calls to people they don't know, but that is not the idea at all. In fact, the best networking tool is providing good service so that your customers will refer others to your business. Word of mouth is always a better sales tool than any other type of networking that you can do. Of course, even though referrals are your most effective network tool, that doesn't meant that it is or should be your only tool.
Even with referrals, you need to do some networking if you expect your business to be successful and to continue to maintain success. That doesn't mean that you have to get on the phone every day and contact people nor does it mean that you have to constantly surf the Internet to find others who are interested in what you have to offer. However, you do need to take time on a regular basis to perform networking activities, which may vary from contacting referrals to simply promoting your website.
The value of networking has been underemphasized in many respects, and because of that, many new businesses are doomed to fail before they are even out of the planning stages. However, you choose to network for your business is not the issue, but if you expect your business to succeed, you have to promote it. Do not be fooled into thinking that once you have your client base, you no longer have to promote your business because if you accept that line of thinking, you will not be in business for very long.
Customers are fickle, so they will not always buy goods or services from you. You need to have a backup plan for those times when "regular" customers decide to utilize the services of another provider. Unless your product or service is unique, which is unlikely unless you are an inventor, people will go where they find the products or services they want at the price they want to pay. Always be prepared for these slow times by continually networking for new customers.

Mother's Day - The Simple Way

Mother's Day is a time-honored holiday and tradition. Every mom looks forward to her day in the spotlight. There are simple and straightforward methods to ensuring a person's mother has a fantastic day without going overboard.
Sometimes an individual does not have the money to buy extravagant gifts and dinner, even though some would like to make this time of year an unforgettable adventure. There are many ways a person could achieve this goal.
Every mother loves spending time with their family, usually they do not care how expensive the gifts and dinner are. They just want time with the children and grandchildren. There are simple suggestions to make Mother's Day a wonderful experience without breaking the bank. Time is of the essence as well. With everything going on in a person's hectic schedule, there may not be enough time to plan a huge gathering. An easy strategy could be achieved.
Dinner is the most important aspect of this wonderful time. An assembly of all the family is important to every mother. However, with all the children and grandchildren associated with the family this venture could be costly.
There are simple methods to combat this situation. An individual could invite the whole family to their home for a special and meaningful home-cooked meal. Cooking and preparing mom's favorite foods could be the best way for an individual to show how much they care. A person could find simple and straightforward recipes online easily. This method of entertainment could be sitting around a huge dining room table or enjoying the meal watching mom's favorite movie. This is a great solution to the dinner dilemma.
If an individual's apartment or home is not large enough to accommodate the entire family, ask the parents if the ingredients could be brought and prepared at their home. Tell mom all she needs to do is sit back and relax.
It is often difficult to purchase a gift for anyone, including mom. If money is no object, an individual needs to listen closely a few weeks prior to Mother's Day. Usually she may mention various items she has been looking at or needs. These are not hints necessarily that this time of the year is approaching however it is frequently just chit-chat.
If money is tight and a person does not have much to spend, there are simple methods to make this day a fabulous one. An individual could pick flowers out of their garden to make a beautiful bouquet. They can use old candles and create a new arrangement of these items. A person could dry out a bunch of different flowers and design an amazing potpourri collection.
A fantastic Mother's Day gift may be a well designed and created photo album along with fantastic home-movies. A mom loves her children and grandchildren. She would adore a well thought out gift more so than a factory made product.
Mother's Day is a very special time for everyone in the family. It is the time of year that moms
are shown how much they are appreciated. A simple Mother's Day is fairly uncomplicated to achieve.
It is about her and showing how much she is loved and thought of. Through helpful hints and tips, this particular day every mother will understand exactly what they contribute to their family.

Forum Marketing With Signature File

Without a doubt, forum marketing can be one of the most effective online marketing ways to promote your product. It is free and the market is highly targeted provided that you choose the right forums to participate.
For example, if you have a product on automobile Paint Protection, you can participate in forums that talk about cars, motorcycles or boats. The owners of these vehicles would certainly be interested in the paint protection product that you have to offer.
However, you don't blatantly advertise your products on these forums on every post in a very hard sell manner.
In forum marketing, you want to give values back to the community and at the same time, insert a small ad that subtly brings the forum readers to your website. It is done by leaving a short description of your product in your signature file together with the link to your website.
Whenever you ask, answer or leave comments on these forums, it's like you're participating in the discussion and trying to help the community to learn more about the topic they are discussing. If you give enough value to the community and the readers trust you, they'll want to check out what business you have and what product you've got to offer. The signature file will do that and it appears on every forum post that you make. Since you are a trusted person, the readers will be more open to buy products from you.
As a quick tip, you also want to craft your signature file well so that when forum readers read your signature file, they'll be interested and curious to see what's of your website. This is when you write a short description of your product that spells out benefits to the readers or write something that will make people wonder that your product is all about.
However, I see some signature files are just plain simple website URL but enough to get people to check out the website. So, this is something that you can experiment yourself.
In short, this is the very basic of forum marketing with a signature file. Of course, there are lots of ways that people do in forum marketing, including spamming. I don't recommend or encourage you to do spamming on forums, if you asked me. It's because I believe that forums are more than a place to do advertising. It's also a place to share ideas, mingle around with like-minded people and network.
Pick a few online forums that are appropriate for your product promotion, create a signature file and participate in discussions. I'm sure you'll be more creative in doing forum marketing afterwards.

Women Helping Women: Mentoring is Better Than The Yellow Pages

If you want to find something, a place, a service or some good advice, whom will you ask? A woman, of course! Women are the greatest Yellow Pages resource ever. If you like what she is wearing, or reading, or the cut and color of her hair, a woman is happy to tell you all about it. Is this a maternal, hormonal trait, or just social training? Whatever the cause, women will open up to the universe and help just about anyone.
I have been a therapist for over half of my life and have shared many women's journeys. I have found women will love and care freely for others, but they are not so caring of themselves. Many women feel they have no one to talk to, no one with whom they can share their issues. Many say they do not want to burden others with their problems because they do not want to let someone else down! Women come into this world with a basket brimming with personal, emotional and psychological resources, which they freely give away. Then, when it is time to pull some out for themselves---oops---the resources are gone.
Fortunately, women today are becoming aware of the importance of being helped as well as helping others. Toda's popular terms mentor and coach are just business models that dress up the age-old practice of women helping women. By watching good role models, women have learned how to be good mothers, good wives and good friends. But, what about the myriad other areas that have only recently become part of a woman's world? What about jobs, or career moves, or investing, or health care or issues surrounding growing older? Where can the average woman honestly share her feelings? Who will answer her hard questions? She has to find a mentor, a role model to offer advice on career, education, parenting or any other life skill.
Typically the relationship with a coach, often called a life coach, involves a financial exchange. It is not therapy, however. Instead, it is a partnership with a trained professional who is on your side and wants you to win in life, work, love or whatever endeavor you choose. You can hire a coach to help you with business, executive challenges, sales, transitions, academics, management and any aspect of your personal life. If we stop and think, women did some of the earliest coaching in their historic roles as midwives. Then, as now, a coach could help you attain your goal and deliver your maximum performance!
Unlike coaching, having or being a mentor does not involve an exchange of money. A mentoring relationship is more subtle, often endures for many years, and requires the recipient to be sensitive to the ways in which she can provide value back to her mentor.
A mentor provides advice, shows you the ropes and helps you to avoid mistakes if you will listen. A woman mentor can save you a world of headaches and sorrow, and it is worth searching for someone with the experience you need. However, searching for a female role model in the worlds of business, medicine, religion, or sports often raises the question Have we women gotten as far down the fast track of life as we anticipated?
Admittedly, volunteer mentors can be in short supply in some areas, so you may need to launch a determined search. Look around in your community. Is there someone you admire for her skills or success? Invite her to coffee, or on a walk, or just telephone and ask her advice. Everyone is pleased to feel admired, and remember, women are happy to help. Open up to the relationship, and you will identify ways you can help her in return, or at least pass it on to other
Don't take it personally if she is just too busy to take on another thing. Most women juggle multiple responsibilities and many are maxxed out. Hang in there and keep looking.
There's no shame in this we all need someone to help us now and then with life's issues, concerns and today's astounding maze of choices!
Here are some questions to ask yourself. The answers just may help you identify the mentor you seek.
1. Have you ever had a mentor before? If yes, was it another woman or a man? How did the relationship develop?
2. If you have not had a mentor, think back to when you first knew what you wanted to be "when you grew up." Who and what helped you make your decision?
3. Who has helped you achieve your current position as a leader in the community and in your field.
4. How have role models helped shape your leadership style and roles? Where did you find these role models?
5. In 2007, what are you willing and able to offer to other women who are entering or advancing in your field?
6. What would have helped you early in your journey down your path of interest?
7. What lessons have you learned that might help women who are considering entering your profession?
8. What are some pros and cons of women's position in your field today? Has the situation changed in the last 10 years? If so, how and why?
9. Would you consider becoming a mentor to another woman?
When we are facing personal challenges, friends might suggest we go to a therapist. Many times, however, if we can just find someone to listen to and guide us, we can really solve our own problems. Then, a little bit of help developing and meeting goals can open the door to the success we seek.

Tips For Card Making Ideas

Being a keen crafter myself I have always spend a lot of my time trying to find and invent new and interesting card making idea
Card making ideas can be as complex or as simple as you desire but knowing that someone will receive something that has been personally made and created by you will bring joy to both you and the receiver.
Sending someone a personal card that is different from any other is sending something that will be treasured and remembered. Knowing someone has spent time and effort to produce something that is personal to the receiver is better than a gift.
Ideas for your cards do not need to be expensive, quite often you will be able to use materials from around your home that you may have thought to throw away. Before you discard anything always ask yourself
Will this add texture to a card?
Could the colour be used?
Could the item be broken down or used as an embellishment for card making ideas
Could it be used as a form of storage for you craft items?
When I first began card making I took got most of my cards making ideas from magazines, the internet and by looking at cards already made in shops. I would take the ideas and try to re create them myself using bits and pieces from around the house.
Its surprising what you can produce from a few pieces of paper and some ribbon if you set your mind to it.
When you are trying to produce card making ideas it is important to have a clean surface, there is nothing worse than creating something unique only to find it has a dirty mark on it.
I find a large cutting matt is the best surface to work on, by using a cutting mat you can also cut your paper as and when you need to with out damaging your tables or what ever surface you are working on.
If you are using a scalpel to cut paper or card for your card making ideas always remember to check that the blade is sharp other wise it will drag the paper when cutting and leave an unattractive tatty edge.
Using different colored paper and fabrics to create the background of a card it the best way to start you can even attach photos or dried flowers to give it a more personal touch.
Rubber stamps and embossing stencils will also produce a very effective look to any card making idea
What ever card making ideas you produce as long as it is personal to the receiver and is based on things they enjoy your cards will be warmly accepted and very much appreciated.

How To Use Embossing Powders

Using embossing powders for your card making ideas is just one of the versatile techniques commonly used by crafters. Embossing powders are a wonderful addition to and card makers or scrap bookers craft box.
Embossing powders come in a huge variety of colours and textures and can easily be used by beginners and professional for card making ideas
Using embossing powders for your projects can create many different effects but you will need to purchase a few basic material
The main item you will need to be able to use your embossing powders is a heat gun, these can be found at most craft stores or stamp companies. Some heat guns are better than others, when you are purchasing a heat gun it is worth asking for recommendations from other experts that have used them for their card making idea
You will need to have an ink pad, ink pads come in many different colors I find it best to use the same colour ink pad as the embossing powder you are going to use, this will eliminate the ink showing through. You can always use a clear ink pad however if you are a beginner I would start with a color so you can see where you have stamped.
Stamps - a stamp is essential when using embossing powders as this is the foundation of the design, rubber stamps can be found at craft shops and there are simply millions that can be bought over the internet.
Of course you will need embossing powder, again these come in a huge variety of colours, try to math the colour with the theme of the stamp where possible.
To begin embossing it is advisable to wipe the area where you are going to stamp with an anti static bag, I also find a light dusting of bathroom talc works just as well.
Once the area is prepared it is time to ink your stamp. Choose your colour of ink preferably clear but if you are new to card making ideas then a matching color to your embossing powder will be fine. Always take your ink pad to the stamp rather than pressing the stamp into the ink pad, this will give the stamp an even coating.
Once you have inked your stamp you can then press it firmly onto your project, hold your hand flat over the stamp to ensure the entire image is printed, press firmly using the palm of your hand, lift the stamp carefully away from the project and make sure you are happy with the result.
Carefully undo the lid of the embossing powder and generously sprinkle over the stamped image, if you are using a tidy try all the excess embossing powder can be easily tipped back into the pot, I find a folded piece of paper works just as well.
Gently tap the back of the project or card making ideas to allow any excess embossing powder to come off if you can see any odd bits of embossing powder still in places it should not be use a small paint brush to gently remove it.
Use your heat gun to heat the image until it turns shiny, hold your heat gun approximately 6 inches from the paper sweeping backwards and forwards until you see the embossing powder melting. Do not over heat the image as you can cause the paper and embossing powder to burn.
Once you are happy that all the embossing powder had melted you are done. Step back and admire your finished project.

Networking With Other Home Business Owners Is Great

No matter what you do in life you probably know that it is important to get ahead of the game and to find other people that share your interests that you can talk to. This is important whether you are thinking about work related things, or even the hobbies that you enjoy. It is always a good idea to be friends with people who have children your same age, for example, because there are many stories and tips that you can share with each other.
The same goes for networking with other people who own home businesses. You might think that just because you are on your own and working from home, you don't need any help and you don't need anyone else to talk to. However, the home business world can be quite tricky, and if you don't know exactly what you are doing, it might be easy for someone else to take advantage of you or your home business. You have to be able to compete, and you have to be able to have something that other people want. This means that as you go about your life and as you begin to be in business, you should find ways to network with others that are doing the same thing you are.
This is very important because if you are networking with other home business owners, you'll find that you can get so much information from them. You don't have to even be talking about just home business owners that relate to your field, either. The home business world is huge, and you can network with others that have home businesses, even if they are doing something completely different than you are.
There are many things that you can share with others who also run businesses from their homes. You can discuss setting work hours, getting all of your work done, and advertising so that you can get more business. You can also discuss things like how people fit their families into their home business, and how it might be important to make sure that you are taking care of everything at home at the same time that you take care of your business.
There are many places that you can meet other home business owners as well. First of all, consider looking online for chat boards and message boards where you can meet other home business owners and where you can talk to them. There are many websites that offer tips for home business owners, and through these websites you can meet lots of different people to network with. This is all something that you can do and it can all be something that enhances your business.

Affiliate Marketing Is Raising the Bar

Affiliate marketing is the fastest growing business model for online marketers in 2007. After all, can you blame the people who are involved in this type of work? In this line of business there is no need to have your own product, no worries about customer service, and no physical labor such as packing, shipping, and driving to and from the post office everyday. No hassles of returns, and certainly no over head costs beyond advertising.
Many successful affiliate marketers do not even know how to create their own web sites and still manage to make a full time income from the comfort of their own homes with commissions from dozens, if not hundreds of affiliate programs at the same time. Affiliate marketing creates the opportunity to be a salesman for any company you wish, without having to wear a suit and tie to work everyday or kiss up to the boss.
Affiliate marketing gives you the opportunity to work in any line of business you prefer, and you can start the job today! Several popular Affiliate Networks have sprung up in the last several years. The most notable ones would be Clickbank, Commission Junction, Linkshare, and PayDotCom. These networks have online "market places" where affiliates are able to shop for the products that pay the highest commissions in any number of given categories or niches that they desire to promote using their own web sites, and other methods of advertising.
The affiliate is then given their own personal affiliate URL to promote for the publishers web site, and every sale that they are able to generate for the given company earns them a handsome commission check at the end of the Networks Pay Cycle. Simple enough? Well, according to most newbie affiliate marketers, it is clearly easier said than done.
Competing in categories such as "make money online" or "health and wellness" niches can seem like a mountain that cannot be climbed to the beginner affiliate. If you are considering a possible career as a full time affiliate marketer, make sure that you go into this profession with your eyes wide open before you quit your day job!
Countless attempts to become what the industry refers to as a "Super Affiliate" or a "Guru" are made every day. The idea of making money quick, with minimal effort on your part is every lazy man's dream. While it is possible to "get rich quick", there is no "getting rich quick and easy without any effort on your part whatsoever. Success at "working from home" can be achieved if the right goals are set, and the right help is in place to get you started on the right track.
There are coaches that share the techniques that have created very comfortable lifestyles they enjoy at young ages. The cost of coaching from most self proclaimed "internet marketing Gurus" will often run you into several thousands of dollars, and the return is often minimal. There are, however, honest entrepreneurs who reach out to help others for much less or even for free in some circumstances.
Membership websites are good places for the person who wants more information to learn about working from home, before they spend all their money on the latest ebooks describing endless methods to lose more money. Methods are many, principles are few. Methods always change, principles never do.

This Unique Discovery Relegates SEO To The History Books

Like vast amounts, maybe millions of website owners out there I have been trying with all the normal systems to enhance my search engine position and finally reach the prized first result for my business and its content.
I am positive I am not on my own when I say that it is almost impossible to reach anywhere near the #1 result using the top search engine and I often feel as though I am rapidly getting nowhere.
It seems no matter what I attempt and however many systems I aquire to help in my plight, I along with most business promoters haven't got a chance of reaching the top. It seems that we must posses a massive advertising budget to just scratch the surface with the search engines and unless you are willing to exhaust all your advertising budget on pay per click or adsense its a lost cause.
Having attempted in vain for more than four years which is very likely much less than most of you who are reading this, I was on the verge of giving up. This was mainly because I could no longer afford to continue throwing my hard earned cash into programs which were supposed to help but never did.
I trawled the Internet, often deep into the night as I'm sure most of you have too and I was convinced that I have been looking in vain. At least I thought it was in vain. Then it finally hit. I made a simple find which in time will completely change the Internet and the way the independent lists his website and promotes his busines
Its official term is the Search Sub Engine and it can only be described as a mixture of Google Ebay and Yell.com.
It's set to turn the Internet into a level playing field and no matter what size of a promotional budget you have it will not be advantageous, unlike the normal search system
It raises your listing in a similar way to that of an auction website and gives everyone the opportunity to reach that all important top position. It's also very dollar friendly and if it lives up to its promises will be the breath of fresh air for business owners all over the Internet.
It will never substitute the current search systems, but it is a very welcome cost effective addition to every ones marketing tools. It won't discriminate against the recent and rarely seen websites and it gives everybody an equal opportunity of securing those all important sales or at the very least it places your website out there on the desktops of those it was intended for.

A New 7 Wonder Nominee in Granada, Spain: Alhambra

History is in the making and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be apart of it. Visit Alhambra, in Granada, and discover a different World Wonder.
Lisbon, 06th of March 2007 - In Spain stands one of the 21 finalists of the New 7 Wonders, Alhambra in Granada.
Mohammed I, one of the first Nasrid Kings - a Moor Dynasty in Granada - converted a 9th Century Castle into his own private residence, giving way to what we know today as Alhambra.
The monument is known to the World as one of the most beautiful examples of Moorish Architecture, for its paintings, all the interior decorative details and occupies an area equivalent to 13 acres of land, being one of the most popular tourist attractions in Europe.
About Alhambra
The Alhambra is an ancient Palace and Fortress Complex of the Moorish Monarchs of Granada, in southern Spain (known as Al-Andalus when the fortress was constructed), occupying a hilly terrace on the south-eastern border of the city of Granada. It was the residence of the Muslim Kings of Granada and their court, but is currently a Museum exhibiting exquisite Islamic Architecture.
The situation of the Alhambra is one of rare natural beauty the plateau commands a wide view of the city and plain of Granada, towards the west and north, and of the heights of the Sierra Nevada, towards the east and south.
Moorish poets described it as "a pearl set in emeralds," in allusion to the brilliant colour of its buildings, and the luxuriant woods round them. The park (Alameda de la Alhambra), which in spring is overgrown with wild-flowers and grass, was planted by the Moors with roses, oranges and myrtles, it's most featured characteristic is, however, the dense wood of English elms brought thither in 1812 by the Duke of Wellington.
The park is celebrated for the multitude of its nightingales, and is usually filled with the sound of running water from several fountains and cascades. These are supplied through a conduit 8 km (5 miles) long, which is connected with the Darro at the Monastery of Jesus del Valle, above Granada.
In spite of the long neglect, wilful vandalism and sometimes ill-judged restoration which the Alhambra has endured, it remains the most perfect example of Moorish art in its final European development, freed from the direct Byzantine influences which can be traced in the Mezquita Cathedral of Cordoba, more elaborate and fantastic than the Giralda at Seville.
The majority of the Palace buildings are, in ground-plan, quadrangular, with all the rooms opening on to a central court and the whole reached its present size simply by the gradual addition of new quadrangles, designed on the same principle, though varying in dimensions, and connected with each other by smaller rooms and passage
In every case the exterior is left plain and austere, as if the architect intended thus to heighten by contrast the splendour of the interior. Within, the palace is unsurpassed for the exquisite detail of its marble pillars and arches, its fretted ceilings and the veil-like transparency of its filigree work in stucco.
Sun and wind are freely admitted, and the whole effect is one of the most airy lightness and grace. Blue, red, and a golden yellow, all somewhat faded through lapse of time and exposure, are the colours chiefly employed.
The decoration consists, as a rule, of stiff, conventional foliage, Arabic inscriptions, and geometrical patterns wrought into arabesques of almost incredible intricacy and ingenuity. Painted tiles are largely used as panelling for the wall

About Granada
Granada is the Capital of the Province with the same name, situated in the eastern part of the region of Andalusia. The land is characterised by the geographical and scenic diversity.
There is the coastal area with its warm climate the extensive, fertile Genil plain and the mountainous regions with a colder climate, where we find the 3,481 meter Mulhacen, the biggest peak on the peninsula of Spain.
The city of Granada is located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains at the confluences of the Darro and Genil rivers. Its unique history has bestowed it with an artistic grandeur embracing Moorish palaces and Christian Renaissance treasures. As the last Moorish capital on the Iberian Peninsula, it also holds great symbolic value.
The city of Granada has been shaped by the hills, where the old districts in the Albaicin and the Alhambra were founded, brimming with steep, narrow streets, beautiful nooks and crannies, and marvellous landscapes. The new part of the city is situated on the plain, crisscrossed by the large arteries of Gran Via de Colon and Calle de los Reyes Catolicos, and where the busy streets around the Cathedral are found.
The Moors crossed the strait of Gibraltar in 711 and settled in what was then a small Visigoth town perched atop the Alhambra hill. Here they settled, erected walls and laid the foundation for the prosperous civilization that would follow.
It was in the 9th century when Granada rose to importance after the fall of the Caliphate of Cordoba. Its splendour was reached in 1238, when Mohammed ben Nasar founded the Nasrid dynasty, and the kingdom of Granada stretched from Gibraltar to Murcia. This dynasty bore twenty kings until King Boabdil was forced to surrender Granada to the Catholic monarchs, King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, in 1492.
During three centuries, a magnificent and rich Islamic culture flourished, leaving Granada with architectural marvels of the calibre of the Alhambra, declared a World Heritage Site, along with the Generalife and the Albaicin.

Many Parts To Starting A Home Based Business

There are many different parts to starting a home business, and you have to be aware of what all of them are before you start.
First of all, you have to have a business plan in mind. This should be something that you have thought about a lot, so it can be something that you are working on while you are still at your other job. Your business plan should tell you what exactly the home based business is going to be about, and it should outline the ways that the home based business is going to make money. A well detailed business plan is the best way to start home based business ideas moving forward, because you have to know what you have gotten in to before you begin, and you simply have to know what you are going to be doing in order to truly get it done.
The next thing that you should have before you start home based business operations is a clear-cut idea of how you will make money and how you will pay your employees. You have to think about how the money is going to be coming in for your business and how you will distribute it to employees.
Next, you have to have an idea in mind about how your business is going to grow. This might not seem like it is needed to start home based business operations, but a successful business is going to be able to know exactly what they have to do in order to really succeed -- this means that they are going to have to know what they need to do so that they can grow in the future, which is the point of all of the home businesses and it should also be the point of yours. Online Affiliate Marketers have the Upper Hand

Any woman who has had a child has had offers to work from home. Become a medical transcriptionist, stuff envelopes for coupon companies, test products such as toys or kitchen appliances. Practice law from a home office, have an online store, have a beauty salon in your home. One thing is certain you will be your own boss. It is true that having a home business can be time consuming. However, once it is up and running, you can be your own boss. This means being able to decide your own schedule, what type of clients you wish to handle and more importantly, no commute.
Being able to make your own schedule is a major plus for home business owners. Most enjoy not being strapped down to a rigid nine to five schedule. You can take as long a lunch as you wish. This is very important for stay at home moms who wish to earn a little extra income. You could also start work at naptime or bedtime. They are able to stay at home and meet the needs of their family and still be able to feel like a contributing member of the work force. Stay at home moms often feel shut off from the world, or that they have lost their identity. Having a home business alleviates some of those feeling
When you work for any company you rarely have the choice of whom you wish to serve. Someone else, who has had it doled out to him or her, normally doles out the clientele. When you have your own business at home, you then become the person who is in charge of clientele. Instead of taking chances on dealing with clients whom you have no compatibility, you can pick and choose. This is true even for those who have an online business. You can choose what your products are, therefore allowing you to have a more select choice of client
With gas prices on the soar, home business owners love their lives. They use less gas than the average worker, so they save more on money. Countless hours aren't lost in cars, trains or buses. Home business owners aren't rushed by traffic or caught in time consuming traffic jams. There is no rushing all over town to drop the kids off at school, the daycare then get to work. Driving somewhere to find food doesn't eat half of your lunch break up.
You have the peace of mind knowing that you will never be late getting to work in the morning or when coming from lunch. You will also be one of the few members of the work force to make it to a childs ballgame on time.

Ideas for Unique Wedding Themes

The idea of using a wedding theme is increasingly popular today for many reasons. For many the reason is that the traditional wedding is simply pricing them out. For others it is the desire to be different, bigger, and grander than the nuptial event before it. Fortunately, today's bride can have both or either because with a wedding theme the young couple can chose to include or omit each individual element of the wedding and since each celebration is different, who is to say that anything is missing as long as you have a bride and groom committing themselves to each other for a lifetime of love and support.
No longer does your wedding have to be basically the same as everyone else's, you can make it as simple, elaborate, and / or unique as you're your imagination will allow. With a wedding theme, each couple's wedding is all their own as they take from these (and an infinite number of other) possible unique wedding themes and mold them to reflect themselves and their own community.
Western Wedding Theme
Have the bridal party dress with a western flavor and hold this type of wedding outdoors with all western decorations. Do it up right and transform the center of a big barn by draping the sides with organza (or another fabric) in your choice of colors to create your own rough hewn cathedral. Have a barbeque reception with a bluegrass band playing in the background as the sun sets over the hills. Perhaps you will even want to acquire a wagon and some horses for your arrival or departure.
Marina Wedding Theme
Freshen up the typical beach themed wedding with one of the many possible variations that make another beach wedding turn into an event that won't be soon forgotten. A Marina themed wedding is one of many ways you can make a wedding by the sea fresh without abandoning the beach all together. Take advantage of the graceful elegance of sailboats gliding across the water in your decor and a harbor view location for your ceremony, reception, or both!
The Butterfly Wedding
Use butterflies in everything - Have your florist put ornamental butterflies in your flowers. Use cake jewelry to add butterflies to the cake, or have the pastry chef design your cake around a butterfly theme. You can even release butterflies after the ceremony, and at the reception - use butterfly themed favors and decorations
Renaissance Wedding Theme
The entire bridal party should dress up in 16th century costumes, including the minister! Use period music and remember all the interests and accomplishments of the period as you search and develop your decoration ideas. Encourage your guests to join in the fun with your renaissance theme.
Mariner Wedding Theme
This is as different from the Marina theme as possible and at the same time being so very similar! Honor the hard working men and women of the sea by designing a wedding around the rugged lives they live. Use old anchors and fishing nets in your decor along with raincoats and rough hewn table. No, this might not be the most elegant theme but a wedding is not primarily about elegance - it's about celebrating your new life together.
Ancient Greek Wedding Theme
Take advantage of the thriving Greek culture to be found in many pockets around America today to build a wedding that is as full of tradition as it is fun and unique. Go for a look reminiscent of Ancient Athens with your Ancient Greek Wedding Theme, the original Olympiad, or have fun with the tales of Hercules, Athena, and Zeus!
Obviously, these are just a few of the multitude of ideas for ways to make your wedding a unique and memorable experience. Remember, your wedding doesn't have to be expensive, but it does have to be memorable. Fortunately, with a little imagination you can make your wedding something a little different and very spectacular by simply using a unique wedding theme.

Connecticut Whitetail Hunting 2006, Opening Day Action

This opening day was full of action but thin on venison. As a father, it was very gratifying season as my son joined me for the first time. He is 15, and it was such a pleasure to have him along to begin passing down the family hunting tradition.
We hunt in eastern Connecticut on 325 private acres. That is paradise in this part of the country. We set up on a ridge where it is real thick, you can hardly see 50 yards in most directions. Naturally, this is whitetail habitat! We rarely have hunted this part of the property so we scouted it out good and set up ground stands as we were sure the deer were up there during shooting hour
I was maybe 100 yards from my son on the other side of the ridge where we could not see each other. We got in and set-up in the dark. It was cloudy and the wind was dead still. Just as the woods started to get light and legal shooting hours began, a doe wanders up to my son. She is maybe 20 yards away. My son and I agreed ahead of time that anything that presents a clean shot to him is going down, so this doe was fair game.
He got his 20 gauge shotgun up, but the does chest was behind a tree. He could see her head and hind quarters just fine, but not the vitals. He waited, wanting her to just clear the tree. As luck would have it she starts walking right toward him! He put his scope on her and she spots him in 2 seconds and freezes. She finally winds him and takes off. I was real proud as Kevin passed up a shot some rookies would take and we would spend the morning looking for a lame deer and he would feel real bad about it.
No more than 5 minutes goes by and I hear a twig snap. The sky is twilight still and all I can make out is the silhouette of two deer walking right down the ridge line between Kevin and I. One of the deer is BIG. They pass through Kevin and my agreed upon no-fire zone and present a shot to him. The big one is a 10 pointer.
As any experienced hunter knows bucks do not get that big by being stupid. Kevin brings his scope up and the buck freezes in his tracks. He proceeds to go through the blowing and stomping warning routine for about 5 seconds and he and doe take off like they are shot out of a cannon. Plenty of heart pumping excitement, and we were only 15 minutes into the season!
An hour passes and I catch motion. A doe is walking along a trail about 75 yards off. I pull my .270 and get my Leupold on her. There is a lot of vegetation and I just can not get a clean shot on her (we have both buck and doe tags to fill). She has no idea I am there but is playing a good game of hide and seek. After about 3 minutes of this she is out of sight.
No sooner do I look back to where I saw the first doe and there is another one! The whole scene plays out like I rewound a video tape. I cannot quite get a clean shot as she follows the exact same path as the first doe.
Somewhat frustrated as she leaves the area I catch motion back to where the does first appeared. The Monster 10 pointer is on the prowl. His nose is on the ground and he is following the path those does just took. Knowing I could not get a shot on the does I look around and decide to jump on a rock that is about 2 feet off the ground right next to a tree.
The bucks head goes behind some thick stuff so I have my chance and jump on the rock. I lean against the tree and scan in front of the buck for an opening to shoot through. I see my spot and put the scope there and wait for him. My heart is pounding but the gun is steady like I am on a bench rest as I force myself to concentrate. A family saying is count the points when they are laying on the ground. Meaning of course the first order of business is drop the deer.
He meanders into my sight but it still is a little thick. Got the cross hairs behind the shoulder and started to apply pressure to the trigger. Then I let up. In the back of my mind I knew this was a 50-50 shot at a clean kill, and that is not good enough for any hunter. That big boy walked away never knowing how close he came to meeting his maker.
Kevin and I met up and exchanged stories of the mornings action while sitting on a log. Sharing these stories with my boy is what it is all about. It is a day I hope neither of us forget. Even though we left the woods empty handed, our memories were enriched forever.

What is An Anxiety Disorder?

Anxiety disorder is the term used to define pathological fears, phobias, anxieties and nervous conditions that either appear suddenly or develop over time. It may affect daily activities.
Oftentimes, anxiety disorders affect the emotions of the individual. Both terms, anxiety and fear, have specific meanings in a scientific usage. Normally, they are interchanged.
Here's a clearer explanation. When pertaining to phobia, it is a kind of anxiety that is somehow irrational. On the other hand, fear is said to be the physiological and emotional response to anything that poses to be a threat.
Anxiety Disorders affect around 40 million Americans age 18 years and above in a year. This makes them fearful and uncertain of various situations. There is the relatively mild case, which is brief anxiety due to a stressful event. An example is publicly speaking in a room full of strangers or going out on a first date with someone you really like.
How to Handle Anxiety Disorder
But there are cases of anxiety orders, which can get out of hand when not treated as soon as possible. This can last for as long as six months. If it is ignored, it will only make the matter worse.
Generally, anxiety disorders occur alongside substance or alcohol abuse. It masks the anxiety symptoms. Sometimes, it even makes the situation worse. There are cases when the illness has to be treated before the individual can respond to the anxiety disorder treatment.
There are various therapies out there that are effective in treating anxiety disorders. More and more researchers are also uncovering treatments that can assist people suffering from the illness.
If you think that you are suffering from any kind of anxiety disorder, it is best that you ask your physician about it and the best treatment you can go through.
Is it Anxiety Disorder?
Then again, how do you know whether this is already a disorder or you're merely anxious? Almost everyone is anxious at times. We face challenges on a daily basis from workplace pressures like demanding schedules or school concerns like exams can already result in worry and fear.
However, people who have anxiety disorder are those who intently acknowledge this fear and are subject to prolonged and intense feelings of distress and fright for no apparent reason. This condition can even turn their life into something uneasy and fearful, thereby interfering in their relationships with family and friends, as well as colleagues.
To give you a clearer picture, think of Meryl Streep's character in Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. She's afraid of the fridge falling off a boy and even realtors.
The Problem and the Solution
Out of all the mental health problems, anxiety disorders are the most common. It is said that around 1 out of 10 people are suffering from it. It is more prevalent with women than with men and can affect both children and adults.
The sad part about this is that anxiety disorder is often mistaken for instability or mental weakness, thus giving the individual a social stigma and discouraging him to seek help. One must understand anxiety disorder as the first step to remove the stigma. Once this has been done, then people with anxiety disorders are encouraged to try out the various treatments available.
If you have anxiety disorder or you know someone who does, visit your physician. He or she can easily determine whether the symptoms you have are from anxiety disorder, a mental condition or even both. The next step is to get treatment.
Do not be afraid to seek assistance from psychiatrists, social workers, counselors and psychologists. It is also best that you look for a professional that has specialized training in behavioral therapy or cognitive-behavior. Make sure that he or she is also open to using medications when the situation calls for it.
You have the right to inquire what kind of therapy he or she normally uses and whether medications are or are not available. You must feel comfortable with the therapy you are going through. If you feel queasy or ill at ease, then you can ask about the other kinds of therapy he or she offers.
If you have been under medication, do not quit the drugs abruptly. You have to taper the dosage under the guiding eyes of a physician you trust. You can ask him or her how to stop your medication.

A Plan To Repair Your Credit - Part 3

If you do choose to go with a credit repair organization, be sure to familiarize yourself with facts that will protect you. If a company is seems to be hiding information from you, that's probably because they are. With debt in families rising rapidly, it's easily understandable that many families throughout the country are looking for places to turn to get help. This opens a door for credit repair businesses to flourish which they are, but many of them fall short of their promises and still get your money in the end.
Before you sign a contract with and credit repair service, be sure that they give you a copy of the Consumer Credit File Rights Under State and Federal Law. They are obligated to do so and if they balk at this, turn around and walk away. No reputable company is going to refuse you information that explains your rights as a consumer. In addition to this copy, be sure that their contract tells you very plainly and specifically what your rights and obligations are throughout this process. Read all documents carefully before you sign.
The specific things that you should be looking for on your contract are as follows
-A total cost for their services as well as broken down individual costs.
-The company's name and address.
-The time period expected to achieve expected results.
-Guarantees that may be offered
-A description of exactly what their services will entail and how they will go about them.
If your contract is short of any of this information, do not sign and ask about whatever may be missing. If the company tries to excuse the lack of information rather than comply with you in adding it, do not work with that company. There's a good chance that this company is not going to work in your favor and may simply disappear with your money.
Contracts have been invented to protect you as the consumer. It should be an extremely important step that you'll take on the road to choosing a credit repair company. It's something that you never really think you're going to need until you do, but when it's necessary to fall to that contract, you'll be happy that you stuck with it.
Getting Help in the Process
Having poor credit does not excuse you from the 'good' people in society. It's hard to have poor credit. Often it's looming over you, especially when every other commercial on television is about credit relief or credit scores. Yet, even when you have poor credit, there are still places you can turn.
If you are able to secure a loan with poor credit, be prepared to pay high interest. It's not great news, but that's the way it is. The better your credit, the better interest rate will be offered to you. Yet, being able to secure a loan when you have poor credit can be a feat in itself. Be sure to use this borrowed money wisely in the direction of reversing your debt problems.
If you're at the point where even making the minimum payments is getting difficult if not impossible, give your creditors a call. They would much rather hear from you and work something out that will be affordable for you than sit month after month with no payments and have to turn your account over to collections which can later become much worse. Your creditors will be willing to work with you and make things affordable for you.
If you are not the proactive type, contacting a credit counseling service may work better for you. They will deal with your creditors in order to get your monthly minimums down to something that you can afford. They will talk with your creditors for you in order and save you the headache of calling them to tell them that you will not be able to make your payment. They will come up with a reasonable number which you will pay each month and they will disburse to your creditors.
Bankruptcy is always an option, but should be used as a last measure when all other methods have failed. A bankruptcy will stay on your credit report for many years which will affect your ability to receive a mortgage, car loan, student loan, etc. It is an option that's available to you, but with the new laws, they've made them increasingly difficult to get through.
There are several options when it comes to finding help for debt relief. Whichever you choose, be sure it will be workable for you, then determine to get through it and resolve to live a debt free life. This is what will make the stress truly go away.

The Cowardly Thief - Protect Yourself and Your Property

Home invasion and break-ins is an ever increasing problem in the United States. Property loss, property damage and assaults in the home are on the rise. How does one protect their property and even more importantly, protect themselves and their families from this type of crime?
Before we continue, allow me to point out a fact about my beliefs on crime and criminals. I take a hard stance and I call it as I see it. If you do not agree with my thoughts, that's acceptable. That's what's great about a free country. However, I ask that you not become offended as I cannot address every criminal mind in my writing nor do I care to understand the reasons that a thief commits the crimes he/she does. Bad upbringings, tough lives, growing up on the streets, or lack of caresses by loved ones are terrible to have to live with, but these things do not justify crime in my opinion. So, if this belief is too much for you, I suggest you stop reading here. Otherwise, keep on reading and thanks for your ear.
Let's talk about the criminal element involved in home break-ins first. A person should understand what they are dealing with before attempting to move into protecting the home and the occupant
The Criminal Thief
Contrary to what is put out in the movies and in music about thieves, gang-bangers, dopers and this sort of criminal element, are cowards. This may come as a shock to you especially when one observes the result of gang violence, narcotics crimes and robberies and such involving personal harm. Below, we'll dive into the criminal mind a bit before we proceed to what you can do to protect yourself and your property.
Thieves are motivated by a few things. A thief usually has another reason behind need for money, quickly. Things such as a drug addiction, loyalty to a gang, impressing friends and sheer laziness are amongst some of the most popular reason for theft.
The reason I identify laziness as a trait of a thief is simple. The thief commonly waits until the last minute to address his/her need for money. Then, as panic or anxiety sets in, they realize they have no means to gain money as they have not prepared nor done anything to provide an income. Their life experience teaches them that theft is the solution as that is what they've been exposed to for so long in many way
Drug addiction is the top reason for home break-ins that often result in assault, petty theft and vandalism. Drugs put the mind of the thief in another world. This world they reside in while high is absent of responsibility, accountability and the results of actions. They just do what feels good. This can be dangerous but can be addressed.
Gang related crime to include simple peer pressure by friends can also be dangerous. But this type criminal is very cowardly and fears the thought of being considered weak or inept by their friends or fellow gang members. They act mostly to be cool and fit in. They do little for their own personal monetary gain or to improve their own lives. They simply act to impress others. These types respond incredibly cowardly when alone. They are commonly encouraged when friends are present.
The above summarizes a few of the more popular criminal types. Now let me give you a bit of information on protecting your property and the psychological means of dealing with thugs and thieve
Personal and Property Protection
Criminals do not like to be confronted or observed. Remember, their cowardliness has converted them into criminals. They seldom even have the personal fortitude to commit crimes to better themselves. The majority of their crimes are to influence stature amongst friends or most commonly to feed a drug habit. There exist fewer yellow individuals in this world than thieve
Personal property is something that you've worked hard to earn. Protecting it unfortunately is something a person has to do in this current day. Repercussions for thieves in our justice system is lacking greatly. If you loose personal property due to crime, it is very unlikely that you will ever fully recover for your loss. So, you must invest in protection.
Let's address car theft. This is on the rise and always will be as it is very profitable for the cowardly thief. My best advice, by an undesirable vehicle or educate yourself on making it undesirable for a thief to steal your
Regardless of how hard you try to secure the vehicle, if the thief wants it, he/she will take it. So, try these tips to protect your vehicle. When parking, look around. Profile people. Thieves commonly like to look like thieves. They dress like thieves, talk like thieves and act like thieves. That's all there is to it. If you see one of these cowards milling about, go with your gut instinct. If they look like a thief, they probably are one. My best advice, don't park in that area. Go somewhere else. If you don't have a choice, then keep reading what I've got to say proceeding at your own risk.
Park your car in lighted areas, populated areas, areas that are difficult to leave from without being observed. That's just commonsense.
If there is a scumbag present, park your car as detailed above. Get out and blatantly observe the scumbag who seems to be milling about. He/she should know that you have observed him/her. I know this may be a bit intimidating to you and that's okay. Regardless of the method at which the scumbag thief attempts to appear tough, I assure you he/she is not. Make eye contact. If you're close enough, give the greeting of the day. Watch him/her cast their eyes downward and mumble a response if any. This is the perfect I'm a thief identifier. If they respond back with an eye locking greeting, rest assured. This individual is not likely a scumbag thief. He/she is probably just wearing the latest in fashionable, Impress my buddy, scumbag attire. When greeting the thief, do not be condescending, appear friendly. You should not chastise.
When entering the building of the location you are visiting. Step inside a few moments, then step back out and observe your vehicle again. This second look informs the thief that you are not a sheep to prey on. You are a confident individual who is aware of surrounding
Let's talk about break-ins and crime on the home front. It is very uncommon for a thief to be entering your home to harm you. As I mentioned, thieves are cowards. They dread and avoid confrontation at all cost
If someone is breaking in your home while you are present, you should be prepared to use whatever force that your local law allows. Ensure that you call the police immediately. Do not fear being wrong about a noise and the police come to the scene. They get paid for that with your tax dollar
I live in a state where I can defend my home with a firearm if need be. I personally would not live somewhere that I couldn't. Unfortunately, law enforcement does not have the means or the ability to protect every single person in a situation as this. I won't get into the politics of gun-control in this article, , maybe later.
More often that not, thieves break in to unoccupied residences. So, to defeat this, make it seem occupied. Leave a light on and the television or radio going when not present. Keep a dog inside. It's easier to pick up the poop then replace stolen and destroyed goods. Thieves don't like yapping dogs no matter the size. I recommend the Chihuahua. He's not big in size but sure loves to

Is Avodart A Dual Purpose Drug?

Dutasteride, which is commonly marketed under the brand name Avodart, belongs to a class of drugs called 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors, which block the action of the 5-alpha-reductase enzymes that convert testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). The drug was approved by the FDA for the treatment of prostate enlargement in men in 2002.
Avodart has not been approved for the treatment of hair loss, although physicians can use an approved medication in ways other than that it was specifically approved for. That said, the use of dutasteride certainly requires doctor supervision. Avodart is used mostly for men who have an enlarged prostate.
If your prostate is smaller, it will put less pressure on your urethra. AVODART has been shown to improve symptoms after 3 to 6 months, with continued improvement extending to 2 years, and this improvement can be maintained up to 4 years. By shrinking the prostate, it stops the symptoms associated with prostate enlargement from getting worse.
Like finasteride (the active ingredient in Propecia), dutasteride blocks the enzyme 5 alpha-reductase that converts testosterone to DHT (DHT causes hair loss). Unlike finasteride, which only inhibits the Type I form of the enzyme, dutasteride inhibits both the Type I and Type II forms. This combined effect lowers circulating DHT more with dutasteride than with finasteride, but also increases the incidence of side effect
The Type II form of the enzyme (blocked by finasteride) is found predominantly in the hair follicle. The Type I form of the enzyme has been found in the scalp and sebaceous glands, but its exact role in hair growth has not been determined. It is felt that the ability of dutasteride to lower serum levels of DHT is what makes it a more potent medication in hair los
When considering the safety of dutasteride, one should consider several facts. It acts on other parts of the body besides the hair follicle. Unlike finasteride, where families that had a deficiency of the Type II 5-alpha reductase enzyme were followed for years without any adverse effects, there is no natural biologic model to show the safety of dutasteride.
Avodart has been approved for prostate enlargement in an older male population. It is not approved for hair loss and, in fact, the clinical trials for hair loss were discontinued, so there is no safety data for its use in younger patients. There is a greater incidence of sexual side effects with dutasteride compared to finasteride.
I hope you have found this information helpful. In any case, you should consult your physician before using Avodart. It may or may not be appropriate, depending on your medical situation, to use the drug to treat hair loss. Be sure to disclose to your physician any other drugs you might be taking before requesting a prescription for Avodart.
