How to Start Your First AdSense Website

Starting an AdSense website is relatively easy. However, there are plenty of things that may go wrong, especially if you're doing it for the first time. For one, most AdSense businesses crash down before they can really take off. The number of impressions and low click-through rate often changes what seemed to be an excellent business idea into nothing - unless you call earning $1 a day a profitable business venture.
What is AdSense?
90% of problems with AdSense businesses is caused by the fact that AdSense businessmen-to-be don't know much about what AdSense is and how it really works. While you definitely don't have to know all the technical details, it is an imperative that you understand all the basic
AdSense is an advertising program run by Google. Webmasters who decide to take part in it add a special Java script to their websites that allows AdSense to display ads on the webpage it is installed in. The ads come from advertisers who have subscribed to the AdWords program and placed there their own ads. Then AdSense program places them at the AdSense websites that seem to be the most appropriate.
The advertisers pay either per each click on their ad or per thousand impressions (thousand people who have opened your website with the ad on it). A fraction of the price they pay goes to you - the website owner. Google acts only as an intermediary and editor, it is neither the source nor the real provider of any ad
How Google knows what adverts to display on your site? Everything begins within the AdWords program. When advertisers create their ads, they also choose key phrases that are relevant to their ads. For example, if one creates an advert of a snowboarding website, he will probably choose such key phrases as "snowboard", "snowboarding", "snowboard styles", "snowboard course" etc. When a website is signed to the AdSense program, a special robot (=internet program) called Metabot "reads" your website in search for keywords (=words used in the content). Then it sends a signal to AdSense to send you the adverts that are triggered by the key phrases you have used in your website.
Starting an AdSense website
Build a site while you can put AdSense ads on virtually any website, in 99% of cases you won't make any real money out of it. In order to start a real AdSense website that will become a steady income stream, you have to remember about
*popularity - check what people look for on the Internet and build your site around one of the most popular topics. Use Wordtracker or Nichebot and take a look at the most often searched keywords to get some idea
*relevant content - AdSense is not an artificial intelligence and certainly not a mind reader. You have to put a lot of content that speaks about the website's topic AND USE THE KEY PHRASES! Otherwise you risk that some ads may miss your website and you get others that are irrelevant to your website. This may greatly decrease the click-through ratio. A tip do not use the content you can find on the Internet, even if it is marked "public domain" - Google loves fresh unpublished article
*proper ad placement - most people who browse the website look at the upper left corner of screen first, then at the mid-upper part and lower left and only lastly at the lower right part of screen. Make sure that you can place your ads where people look first - this increases the chance they click on them.
Registration process registration process is very simple and, what's even more important, free. Go to ww.google.com/adsense and complete the registration form. Just remember that you have to add the provided script to your website before you get any ads displayed!
Get the traffic now, when you have a decent website and relevant ads all you need is people who will visit your site and click on the ads. If your website attracts 1000 visitors a day, you can count on it to bring you a healthy profit. There are dozens of methods you can use. Among the most popular are adding links to web directories, writing articles to article directories and getting links from other, relevant sites. It is probably the most difficult part of all AdSense business, broad enough to be discussed in another article.
Warning angry Google = no income
During all the process there is one thing that you have to remember about don't do anything that is prohibited or unadvised by Google. First, most of such practices won't give you any real profit. Second, if you make Google angry, they will simply ban your site from from their search engine, wasting all the hard work you've made and forcing you to start everything all over again. Trespassing Google regulations - clicking on your own ads or installing any robots who can do that for you - will always be swiftly punished. No courts, no lawsuits, no nothing - your website will be immediately and irreversibly banned, people cease to visit it and your income drops to zero in a matter of days. A few dollars more are just not worth wasting months of your work.

Fishing On The Fourth of July!

Getting out of bed early when you're on vacation seems really stupid, unless you're headed to the beach to fish. No matter how early I've gotten up, had a cup of coffee and a biscuit by the time I've made it to a favorite fishing spot, there was someone already there! The exception to this is Fort Pickens State Park near Pensacola Beach, Florida where the beach is rarely overcrowded.
This was a beautiful Forth of July morning. My son, daughter and I had just driven over the two bridges from Pensacola and had turned down Ft. Pickens road. After we paid our toll for the day at the entrance gate we were free to fish where ever we wanted. It was going to be a day of fishing just like it was when the kids were still kids.
I've fished on the gulf side of the road at Fort Pickens for years, and most of the time went home with as many fish as I cared to clean. At the end of the strip where the rock jetties are, the fishing is always good. I prefer to fish on the Gulf side of the park though, where there are even fewer fishermen. This weekend there were more visitors to the beach than usual, but still, the beach area at Fort Pickens was not crowded at all!
On the way to the beach, we stopped at Grays's Tackle and bought some frozen shrimp and a few more hooks and sinkers as well as out of state fishing license for my daughter and me. It isn't good to start fishing then have a game warden spoil your day.
Upon arriving at the parking area, I threw my tackle box, bait bucket, ice chest and beach chairs onto my surf cart and we headed to the beach. We saw two other fishermen about 50 yards away, but other than them we had the place to ourselves!
We found a spot that looked good and settled in for the day. After setting the ice chest down and untangling the lines on my rods, I pried loose a few of the frozen shrimp, stuck them on the hooks and threw both sets of baits about thirty yards out into the gulf. I then sat down in my chair with the rods in their holders aimed at the sky, and poured myself a cup of coffee from the thermos I always carry.
I was thinking of looking for some sand fleas to use as bait, when one of my rods jerked, then bent halfway as if something was trying to take it on down to New Orleans. I dropped my coffee and grabbed the rod that was thrashing. I had a pretty good fish! Luckily I had the drag set correctly and after a few minutes of listening to the line peeling off the reel, I began retrieving and soon saw a flash of silver as I pulled the fish onto the shore. It was a good Pompano, one of the best eating fish on the entire Gulf Coast.
I looked around and saw that both my son and daughter had a fish on also. I tossed the fish into the ice chest as my other rod started jerking. It was another Pompano! We hadn't been there for more than ten minutes and we had already caught four Pompano that were over two pounds apiece!
As all fishermen do after catching a good fish, they look around them to see if anyone else had witnessed such a fantastic event. Down the beach about 50 yards away, I saw the two fishermen I had spotted earlier. One of them had a fish on the line also. It appeared that a school of Pompano were running down the coast and had stumbled onto our baits!
After settling down and pouring myself another cup of coffee, I baited up again and threw my hooks out into the water. I waited anxiously for another jerk on my rods. An hour later I was still waiting. We had seen no further action from the other fishermen and we were all beginning to get impatient for another bite. We cauht more fish later that morning, but the mad attacks on all our baits didn't happen again.
It was a memorable holiday. We left the beach that morning with a cooler full of fish and a lot of memories of a special Fourth of July in the sun.

Mortgages - Some Important Points You Need To Consider

There are many potential perils and pitfalls that a borrower can face when buying a home and taking out a mortgage. Many borrowers can fall foul of these perils due to misinformation or a misunderstanding.
Read on as we try to discover some common pitfalls facing the potential mortgage borrower.
Interest Only Mortgages
Interest only mortgages are becoming increasingly popular, especially with first time buyers looking to take that first step onto the property ladder. Although having an interest only mortgage will result in lower monthly repayments, it will not however pay off any capital owed on the mortgage.
Interest only mortgages do have there place in the market and can be extremely useful in times where money is very tight or when there is an investment vehicle in place to repay the outstanding mortgage balance at the end of the term. For most borrowers however, interest only mortgages do seem to be a false economy - no headway will ever be made into reducing the balance owed.
On the whole, an interest only mortgage should only usually be adopted on a short term basis before reverting to a Capital repayment type mortgage.
New Build Enticements
Land is a precious commodity in the UK, especially in our densely populated towns and cities. In recent times, property developers have looked to seize upon every available scrap of land in order to service the need for new homes - and of course, to make a quick buck.
The need to fill these new developments as soon as they are constructed is big one - building contractors will commonly offer special deals in order to entice prospective buyers. Such methods to entice customers will include paid up stamp duty and full or partial deposit payment.
It is important to remember in many walks of life that if a deal looks too good to be true, then it usually is - builders and developers will often factor these costs into the actual price of the house or flat.
Dont Move Home On The Weekend
This is one tip that you may have heard before however it is one that is often overlooked - Dont move home on the weekend! Moving home on a Saturday remains the most popular time with people generally reluctant to take time off work. It is the busiest time to move and also the most expensive with many removal firms and van hire companies increasing their prices accordingly.
Attempting to move house on your own can mean the stress and hassle increases ten fold - although removal firms may seem to charge very high fees, moving without their help can often mean repeated trips and lots of strained muscles.
Trust Your Own Judgement
The house buying process and securing a mortgage, to many is a very daunting prospect. It is very important to stand your ground when it comes to sticking to budget - it is typical to put in an offer below the asking price to negotiate the best price, with most sellers expecting you to do so.
By the same token, if you are selling a property, it is not common for the seller to accept the first offer they receive in pursuit of the best price. Holding out for your favoured price can often pay dividends - it is often worth trusting your own judgements.
Shop Around For Insurance
More often than not is pays to shop around for insurance policies. When taking out a mortgage, it is common for the lender or mortgage broker to peddle insurance policies that they will arrange on your behalf.
For them this means extra commission! Insurance policies such as buildings and contents insurance, life assurance and mortgage payment protection insurance to name just a few. These policies can often be arranged at a cheaper premium if you are prepared to shop around for yourself!
Look Before You Leap
Taking out a mortgage with friends or a partner is becoming an increasingly popular way of buying a home. It becomes important therefore that if you do decide to take this big step, you must be confident that you are going into it with someone you know and trust.
Relationships do however turn sour at times and if this becomes the case, then sorting out your financial predicament will be an unwanted hassle - It is important to establish at the very start exactly what should happen if things go wrong and keep a record of who has contributed what. A consultation with a solicitor could prove to be worthwhile also.
Honesty Is The Best Policy
It always pays to be honest - this becomes particularly relevant in the case of arranging a mortgage or insurance policy. Dishonest or inaccurate information could leave an insurance policy worthless and dishonestly could be seen as a fraudulent offence on a mortgage application form.

Website Marketing Strategies: The 4 Proven Tactics Of Website Promotion

There are many ways to promote your website. This is a small part of traffic generation. Traffic generation to your website is more to pay-per-click strategies from pay-per-click search engines like Google Adwords. For website marketing strategies, you should optimize your website to make it easier for search engines like Google and Yahoo! to locate your website and direct your customers to it.
1.Keyword Optimization
Let's say you're a customer who is looking for a sword as a collectible. If you are looking for a samurai sword, which is called a katana, an obvious word that you type into a search engine box to look for that sword, would of course be 'katana'. When the search engine generates results for you, you will notice various websites that sell that sword.
Now instead, picture yourself as a retailer who is promoting your samurai swords in your website. Now in order for your customers to look for you, you have to optimize your website title to have the word 'katana' in it. However, since there are too many websites that have that keyword on their sites, you have to find other keywords that other people use to search for the katana in your website title as well. You can use this free tool called Good Keywords to find out what other keyword or keyword phrases they use that have the word 'katana'in it.
So, when you give a title to your website, it could be - 'Samurai Swords|Katana|Katana Sanyo'.
2.Site Submission
You can submit your website to various website directories. When you type 'Submit website' into a Google search engine box for example, it will list down millions of websites that provide free website submission to established search engines such as Google, Yahoo! and MSN and also other respective search engine websites. It will take you about one to three months to get listed into these search engine directorie
3.Article Marketing
You can write about articles pertaining to the niche that you are in. Let's say your niche is about coffee beans. You can write good articles to teach people about how to select, roast and brew good coffee beans to make their own cup of coffee. As for every article, in your resource box, write a bit about yourself in a third person format and give a link to your website. When readers appreciate your good article and would like to learn more, they will head down to your website.
It would be very effective if you submit articles automatically using article submission directories. With just one article submission, your article can be submitted to over 500 article directories. If you want to try to submit your articles manually to 500 article directories, well... good luck.
Using this website marketing strategy. when you have submitted just one article to 500 article directories, how many chances are there for people to read and visit your site? Thousands! From just one article, Internet marketers, such as myself see tremendous inprovement in the number of links from article directories to our sites. Meaning to say if I were to create more than 10 articles to optimize or promote one website, how many visitors do you think I'll receive for that website? Do the math.
4.Link Building
Exchanging links with other recognized websites that have been online for a very long time can help your website gain recognition from search engines. However, emailing every single webmaster of your niche to create a link to your website is a very daunting task. There are some softwares out there such as SEO Elite that automatically sends out your email to thousands of other webmasters. When some webmasters of high-end sites agree to link to your site, not only can search engines look for you easily, but the visitors of that site can click on your link and head down to your website.
These four website marketing strategies have been proven to work for website promotion. If your website is of good quality content and products, these tactics can help you in your website conversion rate. Website conversion rate is the number of visitors who transform into your customers.

Home Theater Systems in a Box - How to Make An Informed Decision

With so many options available to choosing a home theater system, it may seem like a next to impossible venture. As you begin your research, you really are wondering where to begin. There are a few points to take into consideration in order to help narrow the research process. First and foremost, consider how much money you are willing to spend and what you would like in an entertainment system. Do you need a new DVD player, or do you want only an amplifier and speaker home theater system? What features do you require? How big is the room where you are setting up your system? If you start to tackle the task knowing the answers to these questions, you'll be better equipped to find a system that you will be proud of.
As you think about how much you are going to spend on a home theater system, have a set budget in mind. Try to consider your payment options before you are in the store so you would have already decided whether you will pay cash or pay by credit. If you are going the credit option, consider if you will be able to afford the long term payments and interest fees. Essentially, figure out how much you want to pay up front or on-going on a monthly basis. This is a good starting point before you even start to compare prices and systems.
Once you have got your finances sorted out, it's a good idea to spend some time comparing home theater systems. The trick is to find a home theater in a box that meets your entertainment requirements at a price that you can afford. One of the most difficult things to do is to stay financially focused on the task at hand. What I mean by that is, if you see the latest and greatest television and it's not in your budget, stay away from it! You'll end up wasting a lot of time and getting frustrated. Keep focused on looking for home theater systems that offer you outstanding sound quality and features that won't break the bank.
Another tip is to talk to friends and family and use the internet to read reviews on home theater systems that fall within your budget. Try to narrow your list down to the top three that you feel could be a good fit. As you shop around, don't be afraid to try to get an idea of how the system sounds. Engage the sales person with questions and see if they can assist with letting you hear the sound system while at the store. In most cases they may have it already hooked up which makes it easy, but if they don't, ask them if they can help you hear it. I've found that most salespeople are more than happy to help, especially if you have narrowed your choices down to a select few system
Some of the latest home theaters in a box are equipped with a 7.1-channel receiver/speaker package and depending on the manufacturer include a multitude of features. Some of the more popular ones include XM satellite radio integration and compatibility with a portable music device, like and iPod.
By knowing your budget and doing some research online and offline, you can be sure you will end up with a home theater in a box you will enjoy for years to come.

Do Not Be Afraid To Ask For Help!

I used to keep problems to myself. I never want to ask for help. This is because I feel that if I ask for help, it will reflect badly on my capability to deal with personal problems. In other words, I was too proud to ask for help.
For example, if all my peers know how to swim very well and I have difficulty learning to swim, I will be too proud to ask them to share and teach me how to swim well. I am afraid that they will laugh at my inability to swim.
Another reason that I never want to ask for help is that I do not feel secure sharing my personal problems with people. I feel that if I share my personal problems with people, they think that I am a problematic person.
For example, I do not dare to share with people that I worry a lot. I feel that if I shared with people about my anxieties and worries, people will look at me strange eyes because I am different from them.
And they may outcast me.
But after sharing with people, I find that actually all people suffer from anxieties and worries at one time or other. It is normal for everyone. And they are able to offer suggestions on how to deal with anxieties and worries because they have been through it before.
Imagine if I keep these problems to myself, I may end up depressed because I feel that I am helpless in solving my problems. This vicious cycle may cause further damage in my life.
For example, if I did not share with people that I worry a lot, then I will keep thinking that I am the weird one with such a problem. Due to lack of experience in dealing with worries, I am unable to manage them well. My worries will make me feel insecure and depressed that I am not able to function properly as a normal human being. I may resort to getting drunk or taking drugs to escape from this painful feeling. In short, more damage will be done.
It is normal for people to have problems too big for them to solve alone. It is normal for such people to ask for help. Talk to people around you, especially old people. You will find that they have asked other people for help at some points of their lives.
What I am trying to highlight is that any problems that you have encountered is nothing new. History of human civilization is already so long. This means that there is definitely someone else that has encountered the same problems as you. This implies that there are ready solutions to your problems. All you have to do is to change your mindset and ask for help!
The idea that I will like to share with you
Do not be afraid to ask for help when you need help.

Doing Things Related To Your Personal Goals...

There are those who are bounded by laws and rules, yet success is too distant for them. On the other hand, there are those who appears to be easy going people but are successful. Think you have what it takes to be like them? Or would you rather do something different to achieve the elusive success? Take heart and set your personal goal
What do goals represent by the way? These are actually representations of your visions about you and your future. Goals should be achievable and realistic. These kinds of goals allow you to put them into practice or at least do some activities that allow you to monitor your progress. However, more is involved in just merely setting realistic personal goal
Remember that in order to achieve your goals, you must act according to your goals. Otherwise, all else would be vanity if you do not exert effort in reaching them. The following will help you set achievable personal goals
1. Enhance your skills in achieving targeted personal goals by setting objectives, as well as standard and optional activities that will help you meet your goal
2. Strategize and take risks in meeting your goals. Strategic thinking is very important because this will allow you to be productive and focus on the activities according to your personal goal
3. Act in accordance to your personal goals. Proper mind setting is very important in achieving your personal goals. Take the extra mile. Try taking risks but never compromise your safety. Taking risks means that you are ready to learn new things and challenges that will help you in the long run.
On one hand, you may wonder why there is a need for you to set goals if you think you have not failed at all in your endeavor
Remember that setting goals does not mean that you always fail. Setting goals means that you are acknowledging your limitations and you are ready to work your way up towards success, professionally or personally. It is for this reason why objective personal goals matter.
Moving forward, you also have to consider that there are personal goals that are just too hard to achieve on your own. At times, these goals even create conflicts that you might think of surrendering in the long run. Take heart. Everybody have similar concerns at time
If this situation occurs and you think that surrendering is the last option, why not look for a partner, a friend maybe who is willing to help you out with your personal goals? Collaborate with your prospective partner and learn to prioritize. If it requires spending time in plotting all the possibilities, both the pros and cons, try it.
Remember that goal setting is focused on your benefits. So try working things out and focus, focus, and focus. Minimize or avoid distractions if possible so you can work your goals better. Work that proper mindset for a clearer vision of you achieving those valuable goals. If you are vying for promotion in your workplace, it is important that you see yourself already in the position you want.
If you are aiming for a personal or educational goal, make things happen by planning and doing things related to your personal goals. You will then realize that personal goals, no matter how difficult they may appear, are still valuable to consider.
Once your personal goals are achieved, sweet success knocks on your door commending you for a job well done.

Sweet And Easy Golf Swing Tips

Most golfers don't know that eighty percent of the world's golfers have a handicap of 18 or more. The biggest concerns of golfers today are inconsistency first of all, followed by slicing and distance. Golf is a difficult game to master and most golfers don't have the time it takes to practice, practice, and practice to significantly improve.
Keep the good energy flowing and don't give in to any negative thoughts. Approach the game with a positive attitude and repeat affirmations if you can, such as "I play great golf all the time." Visualize where you would like the ball to land, as you swing.
Use the muscles in your legs and trunk when you swing. Make sure to use the proper technique. Accomplished golfers purposely use sidespin to steer their ball around obstacles or towards the safe side of fairways and green
Use the basic 'hitchhiker' position when you're working on your backswing. As the body matures, the ability to rotate the upper torso is affected by age, and the hand action can also slow down requiring a slightly stronger grip. The most important thing about the golf swing is the angle and not the strength that's applied to it.
Trust your golf club to do the job it was intended to do. It's difficult for a golfer to practice hitting shots longer than short pitch shots unless one pays to play golf or pays to practice at a driving range or indoor golf training facility. Try not to grip the club too tightly.
Putting can become a nightmare and a condition called the 'yips' has affected not only amateurs but professionals as well get expert advice and consider a golf swing aid. Many golfers who are strongly left-handed in their daily life prefer the right-handed swing.
To prevent injury and improve swing speed and distance requires your body to be both strong and flexible. It's no secret most of the professional players actively participate in workouts. The state of the physical condition is very often overlooked as a possible cause of golf swing problem
Golf swing aids come in all shapes and sizes including apparel type accessories to correct alignment or a club add-on accessory to monitor your swing. Aids can be found online and are often cheaper. There are aids that will help you with swing alignment.
Be careful about the claims on TV commercials and magazine ads seek expert advice before you buy because they may not live up to their claims. Golf swing aids will improve your game. Golf magazines often review the newest golf swing aids and are reviewed by golfers, making it easy to choose the right one for you.
If you're looking for an aid to improve your stance they're not hard to find. Keep in mind that with some golf swing aids, you may still need advice or help from an expert. If you're a golfing novice just starting out, it's easy to become overwhelmed.
Whether you're a seasoned golfer or just starting out, pick just one aid and go to work on your swing. You can find golf swing aids that will help you with your wrist and arm position.
With plenty of practice, a better golf swing will be the end result. Practice, practice, practice! When you play a round of golf, concentrate on improving your golf swing, putting or something specific that day have a plan in mind.

What To Look For In A Camping Knife

When planning for a trip into the woods, there are many accessories that can make an adventure easier to enjoy. As you pack up the tent, gather snacks, food and drink, certain survival resources and tools will come in handy depending on the types of activities you wish to enjoy while roughing it in the wild. Sometimes overlooked during the packing of supplies, a camping knife allows individuals to perform a variety of tasks that range from survival to food preparation. Many considering the purchase of a camping knife should consider the following factors
Type of Knife
There are two basic types of knife blades that a camper may choose to bring along fixed or folding. Knives with a fixed blade are made from one solid piece of steel that is anchored to a handle. They come ready to use with a high level of durability and dependability. This type of knife works well to clean, skin or bone fish and also becomes of use when a campsite needs clearing of brush. A fixed knife also accompanies minor medical emergencie
A folding blade is often referred to as a pocket knife and does not possess the same durability, but is convenient nonetheless. Some pocket knifes provide a camper with multiple blades, as well as additional contraptions, such as a variety of tools. A folding knife allows campers to complete woodworking projects, hunt, hike, perform first aid, and assist numerous camping tasks. The versatility and usefulness of a folding blade is also extended by its small, flexible, lightweight nature.
Purpose
During a camping trip, there are several different tasks that may arise. Whether it is preparing the fish you caught for dinner or opening a lukewarm beer, a camping knife can make life easier. For those seeking a multi-purpose knife for camping, they may want to side with a Swiss Army knife, which offers many different attached tools, such as scissors, locking Phillips screwdriver, universal hex wrench, tweezers, a corkscrew, and a bottle opener. For those looking for a study tool possessing a wealth of strength, a fixed camping knife should be selected.
Blade Length
To complete some of the most common camping tasks, a blade that measures 10 to 20 centimeters (or 4-8 inches) is often used. Sometimes a smaller blade will accommodate a camper in most of their situations.
Blade Thickness
Depending on the length of the knife, most camping selections offer a blade thickness of 3 to 6 millimeters (1/8 to 1/4 inch).
Blade Style (Material)
There are many different materials from which a blade is constructed from that can offer a wide-range of capabilities. Non-stainless blades are fashioned from carbon and alloy steels and offer a high level of toughness, but shows weakness towards rust. When two or more metals are used for the creation of a blade, it is called a Damascus. Although brittle, non-steels ceramic blades are non-corrosive. Titanium blades are also non-corrosive, as well as lighter than steel.

You Don't Have To Suffer With Acne

While it's easy to find acne treatments, finding the just the right treatment or treatment product for you is what is important. Living with acne can be very difficult, and even more difficult to find the right acne treatment for you. Acne is caused by the clogging of the follicle of a skin gland causing a pimple to grow.
For most people, acne goes away by age 30, but people in their forties and fifties still get acne. Nearly 80 percent of people from ages 11 to 30 years have acne, most often on the face, chest and back. Acne is one of most common skin conditions in the world, affecting more than 40 million people. Nearly 17 million people in the United States have acne. Baby acne is a rash seen on the cheeks, chin, and forehead of infants.
Experts just can't agree on what causes acne. As time goes by, more research may help determine just how male and female hormones influence acne and the role diet plays. Acne, zits, pimples, blackheads, whiteheads and many other skin disorders are usually, but not always, the result of a bad diet. The cause of acne is really unknown.
It's easy to treat acne cheaply, simply, naturally, yet effective, at home. It just takes motivation, a willingness to try it, and diligent application of coconut oil several times a day and at bedtime to see its benefits. One treatment method some people have used is applying cornstarch, egg whites or milk of magnesia as a facial mask. If you're going to buy acne products, it's much more worth your while to buy acne-treating products that work against current pimples and that also fight against the occurrence of new ones.
Popping pimples can cause infection and scarring. Stay out of the sun if you're taking any acne medicines. Raw apple cider vinegar application is a cheap, alternative acne treatment that has worked for many adults, teens and children with acne, zits, pimples, or blemishes.

See your skin doctor, dermatologist or dermatologic surgeon for the best acne scar treatment for you. The good news is that there are several types of treatments to choose from for acne scar removal. Whether acne scarring is deep or superficial, extensive or scattered, the end result can be less than desirable and even disturbing.
When you change your diet, your lesions should be getting better within 30 days. The liver sluffs off toxins from bad foods, drinks, drugs and chemicals and sends them through your skin resulting in skin eruptions, acne, pimples and other skin disorders.
Drink lots and lots of pure, filtered water. Some alternative doctors recommend eating raw cloves of garlic daily for acne. Use flaxseed oil or walnut oil in your salad. Eat foods that contain essential fatty acids. Drink plenty of water, a minimum of a quart a day.
Functions of the skin are disturbed when it is dirty it becomes more easily damaged, the release of antibacterial compounds decreases and dirty skin is more prone to develop infections. Sunlight, water and air play an important role in keeping the skin healthy.
You should see the results of your acne home treatment remedies with improved skin within just a few days. Pick two or three home remedies or natural treatments and try them out on your skin carefully. Be assured, scientists are constantly looking at new non-invasive ways to treat acne.

Piano Books: The Top Piano Books To Help You Become a Better Piano Player

There are umpteen zillion piano books available in music stores and online at such places as Amazon. And piano books are usually necessary if your goal is to become a better pianist.
But how does a person know which piano books are necessary and which books are redundant, to say nothing of good or bad. There are books on music theory, scales, chords, books about composers, books about music in general, and of course piano lesson books by Schaum, Williams, Alfred d'Auberge, Bastien, John Thompson, Glover, etc., etc.
The best way is to divide the study of piano playing into it's components
General lesson piano books
While there are many, for the adult beginner I would select the series by Bastien titled "The Adult Beginner" It is excellent for adults, and includes quite a bit of music theory along with the piano lesson
General books about music
Far and away the most inspiring book about music in general is "The Joy of Music" by Leonard Bernstein. If you want to wrap your brain around music, this is the book for you. (Berstein, in case you don't know, was both a great conductor and a great composer, having written "West Side Story" and many others.)
Another great selection would be "What To Listen For In Music" by Aaron Copeland. (He was also a great composer.)
Technique books
The best book I have found for developing finger dexterity and piano technique is a book that has been around for a hundred years or so, but is still the standard. It is "The Virtuoso Pianist in 60 Exercises - Complete Piano Technique" by C. L. Hanon.
Music theory books
There are many, most of which are complex and difficult to understand, but a good choice for a beginner would be "The Complete Idiot's Guide To Music Theory" by Michael Miller.
Books on piano chords
In this category I'm going to have to cast all modesty aside and select my own book titled "Piano Chords & Chord Progressions The Secret Backdoor To Exciting Piano Playing". It's thorough, cheap, and very easy to read and understand.
Song books
In addition to books that teach all aspects of piano playing, you'll need several good songbooks so you can practice the things you are learning. The piano books you select are largely a matter of taste if you love rock, you'll want to buy books of rock songs. If you love jazz, or gospel, or pop, or whatever, you'll want to get the song books appropriate to your likes and taste
But in addition to regular piano song books, be sure to also get a "fake book". A fake book is a book which contains the melody, the words, and the chord symbols for songs. Usually a fake book has a thousand or more songs in it, so it is a huge bargain.
When I was a teenager fake books were illegal, but they were sold under the counter to musicians all the time. I paid $50. for my first fake book (which I still have, incidentally) which contained only 200 songs. Fifty bucks back then is similar to the national debt now. But it was something working musicians had to have.
Now fake books contain thousands of songs and sell for much less -- often just $25. or so. So be sure to pick one up -- preferably several, as they come in all flavors -- jazz, folk, western, gospel, pop, and just about any other musical classification that you could think of.
All of these books can be obtained at your local music store or from online stores such as Amazon.
Then there is another totally different class of piano books that are part of an audio-visual course. Usually these books are supplementary to the DVD or CD (or both) which comprises the course. This type of piano books are new in the history of the world, because obviously DVD's and CD's haven't existed all that long. This type of course puts it all together, so in addition to reading a book, you can hear the instruction and see it being demonstrated on your own TV or computer screen.
But whatever books you select, the important thing is to just get started learning in all these areas of music.

Conquer Your Depression Today

Depression is a crippling disease, not just for the person inflicted but also for everyone that cares and loves them. Learn to manage your depression today by using techniques that over time will allow you to conquer your depression on your term
This article will cover the groups that depression affects, the signs of depression and some potential techniques for coping. Recognizing that you have depression will set you on the road to managing depression.
Depression really has no age boundaries. Young children starting at age 5 have been found to have depression due to environmental influences. Influences such as divorce, domestic violence, and social rejection are very common in the world today. Teen depression is becoming an epidemic over the last 20 years with teenage suicide being the end result of not receiving treatment. Children and teens often lack the ability to recognize the signs and need to rely on attentive parents to help diagnose the symptoms of depression.
Adults often become depressed from the stresses and anxieties of daily work life and pressures of home life. Adults are much more likely to recognize their symptoms and seek treatment before it becomes a major problem.
Finally, the elderly become depressed for very different reasons. The thought of dying is in itself a depressing thought for most people and as you age you think about it more and more. It is part of your life as those you love begin passing away before you do. Poor health is also a major contributor to depression in the elderly.
For most people, the signs of depression can be easily detected by others that have contact with you on a daily basis. You may begin to lose interest in your job, your relationships with family and friends and in your personal life. You may feel miserable or frustrated inwardly as well as outwardly towards others. Often times there is no apparent reason for these feeling
Other symptoms of depression include constant negative thoughts, constant fear, feeling lonely and dull even when surrounded by others. And most obviously, any thoughts about committing suicide are sure signs that something is wrong.
Remember, as you review the symptoms of depression above, that having these feelings during appropriate times is perfectly normal (except suicidal thoughts). Death of family member, or loss of job or even a painful breakup can all cause these feelings temporarily. But when these symptoms move from temporary to permanent then something must be done.
Free yourself from bitterness and hatred each day. Avoid going to bed with annoyed and irritable feelings against people you have had a misunderstanding with. Eliminate hatred from your heart and mind. Release all anxieties, tension, and anger on a daily basi
Another technique is to look for something that you can bring about for another person. If possible, do a nice deed each day. Stretch out to anyone in need. Most importantly, don't expect recognition because that is not why you are doing it. You are doing it to make yourself feel better not for recognition.
Depression is a mental illness that is normally treatable without medication but requires a commitment to take action to lead a lifestyle free of the triggers of depression. Remember that depression will not only ruin your life but it also negatively impacts the lives of the people around you. If you won't take action for yourself then take action for those that love you most.

What I Saw At The Gym: Kind Of Like A Solar Eclipse

Is just me or are some of the things that folks wear to the gym enough to burn your retina, permanently? You know like a solar eclipse when the experts warn that looking right at it without a filter will cause irreparable damage. Read on for details but be warned, this will not be pretty.
Here the deal I am not a high fashion gym guy. I'll wear an occasional Nike short and even more occasionally a logo shirt. On the other hand the sights I see at the gym can really hurt your eyes if you look too long or stare too hard. So as not be sexist please know that the conditions and descriptions mentioned herein apply to both men and women.
There are likely categories for the attire people choose to wear to workout and if there are no formal ones then I am here to make them up. The way I see it breaks down like this
Terminally Fashionable This god or goddess of workout is adorned head to toe in logo madness. Shirt, pants or shorts (or both), socks, shoes and hat all perfectly aligned. These are the same folks that seem to not sweat and may well send their workout clothes to the dry cleaner for that "just pressed" look. These are some of the same fabulous people that use the cell phone while walking the treadmill.
The Rumpled Ones Though this can happen any day or time of the week, I find it to be especially prevalent on weekend mornings, say around 7 or 8 a.m. Bed head in place, crusty eyes, the "what the hell am I doing here after the thing I did last night" look you know the ones. They do have a certain elegance in their wrinkled shirts and long, made for the beach, board shorts. One thing I found to be true though is that they are determined to work hard and I have watched their improvements over time. I applaud these folks for not caring about what's going on superficially outside. They care about results and it show
Stuck In The 70's Tennis shorts, tucked in shirt, ankle high white socks with a portable 8 track player. All right I exaggerate, but not by much. These folks, again hard working, need to get one foot into the current millennium.
TMI (Too Much Information) Let's be clear here, no one I know wants to see that much of you or your parts. Just the other day I was doing a stretch on the floor. The women next to me, all of 7 feet away, was splayed over a ball in a tight thin cotton leotard like garment. She was not wearing any undergarments, this was obvious because in one glance I knew the camel toe had been spotted and refused to look back. Yes I am a healthy hetero male and no I do not need that much information. The male counterpart (perhaps they are related) insists on wearing short running shorts, again without any undergarments. I fondly call him FedEx because his package delivers at the gym. Again TMI!
One thing that all these ladies and gentlemen have in common is a desire to get off their butts and get to the gym. They are light years ahead of the slugs that are sitting on the couch eating Twinkies and chasing them with beer. I am of the mind that those are treats to have after you have done the workout! The reality is that what people wear is meaningless, fun to watch and write about, but meaningless none-the-less. This applies to everyone except FedEx. Please, I implore you for the sake of mankind, wear something under those short shorts or take a cue from the Terminally Fashionable and spend a couple of bucks to get your workout wardrobe an extreme makeover. If you don't cover up others will run the risk of permanent retina damage, just like a solar eclipse.

5 Tips To Staying Focused When Starting Your Home Based Business

So, you have decided to start a home-based business? Good for you! You may be juggling a full time job, a part time job and family life. You know that there are many things you need to do in order to successfully start your business and work from home. How are you going to fit your business project into your daily commitments?
It's easy to become overwhelmed and lose focus. Losing focus will cause you to take no action. Action is essential to moving on from where you are now, to where you want to go.
Here are 5 tips to stay focused on when starting your home based business
1. Break It Down
If you have a large task to tackle, it is always easier when you break it down into smaller components. You'll find it easier to focus because you won't feel as overwhelmed. For example, 'Register a business name' can be broken down into 'Think of five business name ideas', 'Find out how to register business name', 'Get registration form' and so on.
2. Keep A To Do' List
Once you've broken down major tasks into smaller ones, make and keep a 'to do' list. Always keep a notepad and pen with you so that you can jot down any new ideas as they arise.
3. Schedule Your Time
Every evening, decide on three to five tasks on your 'to do' list that you wish to accomplish the following day. Stay focused on these tasks and only move on to the next tasks on your list once these have been completed.
4. Set Goals
This is critical. There is nothing better for staying focused than setting goals. Visualize exactly where you want to be in a month, six months and a year. In a month's time, do you want to have registered a business name and got all your equipment set up? In six months time, how many clients or team members do you want? How much revenue do you want to generate in a year's time?
5. Say No
Be assertive and carve out more time for your business project. Saying No to that extra demand by your boss every once in a while, can get you home one hour earlier a couple of days a week. How about cutting back on the amount of housework that you do? Imagine how you could channel that extra time into your business.
If you put these five tips into practice, you'll definitely find it easier to focus on and achieve your ultimate goal of working from home and putting more Lifestyle back in your life.

3 Ways To Earn Extra Money At Home

There are countless ways to earn extra money at home on the internet. But because there are so many options, it can all become very confusing, especially for a "newbie". It's more effective in Internet Marketing to FOCUS and become an expert at just one thing at a time. So I'm going to talk about just 3 ways to earn extra money at home.
So, let's narrow it down to
1. Affiliate products.
2. Network Marketing.
3. Creating your own product
Affiliate programs are probably the easiest way to get started in your own internet business and to earn extra money at home. You simply choose a program or product and register your details with that product company. You are then given your very own affiliate link for that product which links to the sales page.
Your main aim is to promote your affiliate link and drive traffic to that sales page. Every time someone goes to the sales page through your link and makes a purchase, you are credited with that sale, earning you a nice commission (usually about 50% to 75%).
The beauty of this system is that it's so simple and hassle free. You don't have to stock any product, ship it out or process payments at all. This is all handled for you by the affiliate company. All you have to do is drive traffic to the sales page through your link and then collect the commission checks each month.
Network marketing or MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) allows you to not only sell that company's products, but also to refer and sponsor other people. Any sales made by your "team" members or any other members referred by them, result in commission for you as well. So you get credit for your sales and referrals but also credit for the sales and referrals of your team as well. This is what they call residual income because it comes in month after month, long after the original sale/referral. This is leveraged income because you get paid on the efforts of others.
Once you've mastered affiliate sales and Network Marketing, you'll probably want to create and sell your very own products. You might create software, an e-book, a course, or service depending on your interest, passion or area of expertise. This will firstly require a lot of research and work on your part, such as who your target market is, what they really want, and whether your product or service will solve a problem that they have.
Once you have researched and created your product, you may want to hook up with a JV (joint venture) partner who could promote your product to his customers and mailing list. You could promote it on Clickbank or have your own affiliate program and have a team of affiliates to sell your product for you.
The most important thing you can do in your online business is to focus and consolidate. Once again, make sure that you master each strategy first before you move onto the next. Keep in mind also, that if you are earning extra money at home from one site, you could be earning from multiple sites. Build your empire one step at a time.

Cure That Sick Golf Swing The Easy Way

No matter what area of your game needs improving, whether it's balance and alignment or power and speed, there's a solution waiting for you. Many golfers play golf just to hack around and have some fun more avid players are always looking for ways to improve their swing and their overall game. Hard to believe but there are roughly 27 million golfers in the world today.
If you've hit with your golf driver perfectly once, you can do it every time the subconscious mind knows the correct number and sequence of muscle contractions and nerve impulses needed, called muscle memory. The positive energy you send out will influence your game, just as negative thinking and therefore negative energy will affect it also. Visualize where you would like the ball to land, as you swing.
Accomplished golfers purposely use sidespin to steer their ball around obstacles or towards the safe side of fairways and greens. Before you swing, make sure you're relaxed contract all your muscles tightly for a moment and then relax them. Trust your golf club to do the job it was intended to do.
Use the basic 'hitchhiker' position when you're working on your backswing. One of the problems that most inexperienced golfers share is they think too much about their swing. After the ball is hit, the follow-through stage consists of a continued rotation to the left.
Putts and short chips are ideally played without much movement of the body, but most other shots are played using variants of the full golf swing. Many golfers who are strongly left-handed in their daily life prefer the right-handed swing. Sidespin occurs when the clubface is not aligned perpendicularly to the plane of swing.
It's difficult for a golfer to practice hitting shots longer than short pitch shots unless one pays to play golf or pays to practice at a driving range or indoor golf training facility.
Use the muscles in your legs and trunk when you swing. Conditioning your golf muscles will reward you with straighter swings. To prevent injury and improve swing speed and distance requires your body to be both strong and flexible. Don't underestimate the value of fitness when it comes to your golf swing and your overall game.
Golf swing aids will improve your game. Most of all don't waste your money on a golf swing aid you don't need or will never use. Overall, investing in golf swing aids will greatly improve your swing and your game.
If you're a golfing novice just starting out, it's easy to become overwhelmed. Look for golf swing aids at your local golf course. Golf swing aids come in all shapes and sizes including apparel type accessories to correct alignment or a golf club add-on accessory to monitor your swing.
Sporting goods stores have aids to improve your game. Whether you're a seasoned golfer or just starting out, pick just one golf swing aid and go to work on your swing. There are aids that will help you with swing alignment.
If you're looking for an aid to improve your stance they're not hard to find. Golf magazines often review the newest golf swing aids and are reviewed by golfers, making it easy to choose the right one for you.
Practice, practice, practice! When you play a round of golf, concentrate on improving your golf swing, putting or something specific that day have a plan in mind. Try to concentrate on one golf swing weakness at time.

Improve Your Mortgage Business Using Two Little Words

As you know, everyone loves to be appreciated, recognized, and acknowledged for the good deeds they do. The world has changed a lot and being considerate and having manners are becoming a thing of the past.
Here's a mortgage marketing tip that can help your business so much, your head will spin
Write notes to people everyday and tell them simply "Thank You."
There's no doubt about it...when you take the time to thank someone, you connect with them on a totally different level. All of a sudden, it becomes extremely personal and extremely private. To the recipient, it's remarkably soothing and comforting and they experience that warm and fuzzy feeling. In all of this, you really stand out from the crowd as a caring Mortgage Professional.
How many handwritten "Thank You" notes do you receive in the mail everyday? If your mailbox is anything like mine, I would guess that the number is probably zero. People just don't write "Thank You" notes these days, but you should. The logic here is...if someone goes out of their way to help you...you should go out of your way to say "Thank You."
Get yourself some "Thank You" cards or print them yourself using a desktop publishing program. Thank those people that helped you or who did something for you today...it could be for anything.
Thank your mailman or FedEx person for delivering your mail,
Thank your processor for the effort on your file,
Thank your underwriter for that positive approval,
Thank your client for providing timely information,
Thank your Realtor/Agent for the referral,
Thank your Appraiser for the quick Appraisal delivery,
Thank your Title Agent for their closing assistance,
Thank your home landscaper, pool man, or repairman for a job well done.
When you think about it, your list is almost endless. Set a minimum goal of sending five (5) "Thank You" cards each day for one month. Follow-up each "Thank You" mailing with a quick phone call and a verbal "Thank You."
Always be sincere and honest in the praise you give. Be prepared to generate a lot of Mortgage Business by doing this, because many people tell others that you and your company are great to deal with. When that happens, increase the number of your daily "Thank You" notes and then include me in your will.
So, buy some stamps and produce some cards and start writing. Your response will be instant and somewhat overwhelming. Showing you appreciate your contacts and their business will go a long way in assuring their business for a long time.
Let me assure you, your "Thank You" cards and follow-up will make someone's day and there's no doubt about it...your pipeline and "Mortgage Business" will improve as a result.

Some other pieces of architectural work around the city are the National Congress, Independence Home, House of Narino, Plaza de Bolivar, San Francisco Palace, Echeverri Palace, Palace of Justice and Santa Barbara.

Bogota also has many museums dedicated to specific subjects like urban development, military forces, graphic arts, medicine, etc or people.
In terms of scientific attractions there are three places visitors should go to. First of all Maloka which is an interactive museum with different rooms inviting to play while learning about life, biodiversity, the city, the universe, technology and the human being. Then the Planetarium where visitors can attend celestial dome projections, laser projections, telescope observation journeys, astronomy workshops and conferences on different topics associated to astronomy. Closely-Guarded Pennsylvania Catfish Fishing Secrets

While the state may not be the first destination that comes to mind for a successful excursion to the lake with your rod and reel, Pennsylvania catfish fishing is actually quite fulfilling in many area lakes and rivers.
Flatheads, bullheads, and channel cats can be found in abundance, and a trip to the nearest fishing hole can be a great family outing. Especially in recent years, with flatheads having appeared in the local waters from their native homes in the Ohio River and Lake Erie drainages in the western part of the state, Pennsylvania catfish fishing has grown in popularity.
In the middle Allegheny River, between Tionesta in the north and East Brady in the south, you'll find a number of great flatheads and channel cats. This is due mostly to the location of a large warm-water fishery in the area, which spawns catfish as well as other warm-water dwelling species of fish.
In this area, the catfish will congregate upriver in the biggest, deepest pools they can find. There are several dredge holes in the area that make excellent gathering points for catfish. Pennsylvania catfish fishing in this area of the river can produce results both from the shore and from a boat, with inviting shore locations at Oil City, Tionesta, and Reno, where there are a large number of dredge holes (also known as eddies).
If you choose to boat this area, keep in mind that the middle Allegheny River is shallow and free-flowing, and you'll probably want to opt for a jet-drive outboard or a non-powered boat like a kayak or canoe.
Pennsylvania catfish fishing is also popular in the lower Allegheny River, which consists of the area between East Brady to the north and Pittsburgh to the south.
This portion of the river is impounded by eight lock and dam systems and is 70 miles in length. Like the middle Allegheny, this section of water is home to both channel and flathead cats, though fishing here almost exclusively requires great knowledge and navigation, especially if you plan to fish from the shoreline.
Because shore fishing varies from one dam to the next, you would do best to stick to the tailrace areas below the dams to count on a good catch. Also check out the slack water areas on the lock sides of the dams, especially at the Rimer, Clinton, Freeport, and Mosgrove areas, where there are hydroelectric facilities on the opposite side that provide excellent low-level waters in August, fostering good fishing conditions.

The Babysitter Hidden Camera

Babysitter surveillance is becoming more and more popular these days. Many families use babysitters and nannies because it is often more affordable than day care. It also allows children to stay in the comfort of their own home where they can play with their own toys and sleep in their own beds. Although many parents go through an intense interview and selection process for the best babysitter or nanny they still have an uneasy feel about entrusting their children's lives with this individual. This is why the nanny cam or babysitter hidden camera comes in to play.
These cameras offer parents the peace of mind that they need when it comes to leaving their children with strangers. Parents set up wireless web cameras throughout the house and are able to simply login with a username and password from any Internet computer. So, if you have an office job you can simply login on your office computer and watch your child play, eat lunch and take a nap. If you are a full-time student you can login on your laptop or the library computer between classes to check in on your child during the day. This allows parents to see that their children are safe and being treated appropriately.
Some babysitters and nannies are even offering the babysitter or nanny cam as a part of their service. They provide parents with the camera, turn it on themselves and parents are able to check in whenever they wish. This is a great selling point for the nanny or babysitter and it allows the parent to have some control.
Cameras can either be concealed or prominently mounted. Those babysitters who provide the camera themselves generally opt for the camera that they can sit in the kitchen and give the parents a view of the kitchen and the living room where the child will be playing. Other parents may wish to conceal the cameras themselves and not alert the babysitter or nanny at all to the fact that they are being watched. It is completely up to the parents as to how they wish to set the hidden cameras up. Cameras come in a wide variety of normal, everyday objects such as clock radios, wall clocks, books, plants and more. They cameras are about the size of a quarter or even a pinpoint. They are easy to setup and are no harder to operate than your DVD player.
One of the most popular hidden cameras are the clock radios. These can be set up next to the child's bed, in the playroom or even in the kitchen. The camera plugs into the wall like a normal clock and a wireless receiver is attached to the VCR. Families are able to tape up to 9 hours of nanny video time via their VCR. They can also work in conjunction with your DVR, or digital video recorder. These systems are able to hold several more hours of video and work with a simple software program or wireless web cam. They are also able to send live images to a cell phone or work computer making these very useful for working parent
The interest in nanny cams rose around 2004. According to a Parks Associates researcher in Dallas, about 39% of US households with at least one child were expressing interest in incorporating a nanny cam into their home. The interest has sparked, as more and more parents are concerned about caregivers neglecting children or even abusing them. Parents want to be certain that their children are taken care of properly because they are paying good money for a nanny or babysitter to do so.
Some parents have the cameras just in case they feel something is not quite right with their babysitter. They don't want to videotape the sitter, but if they are wondering what is really going on while they are away from home they can turn the camera on. Parents can then watch the video or check in regularly and if everything seems fine then they are put at ease. Nanny cams help parents adjust to leaving their child with a stranger and allow them to get to know the babysitter better. They are able to see their daily routines and ensure that their child is receiving the attention they require.
If you are interested in a nanny cam or babysitter hidden cameras then it is wise to look at your options. These systems are not as expensive as they once were and are all wireless. This allows you the flexibility to set up the cameras wherever you feel you need to and they are simple to use. These cameras give you a sense of security and control, as you are able to see what your child is doing on a daily basis and ensure that your nanny or babysitter is doing their job right.

Vacations in Cartagena de Indias

Cartagena de Indias has been declared by UNESCO as a historic and cultural patrimony of humanity due to its rich past. History can be found in many places of the city such as the city walls, the spanish colonial architecture and the impressive military and religious monuments.
There are many places to visit full of historic, cultural, architectural and aesthetic importance. Within the old city walls the main tourist attractions are the Cathedral, the San Francisco monastery, the Gold Museum, the San Agustin convent, the monastery and church San Pedro Claver, the public clock, the modern art museum, the naval museum, The Inquisicion Palace, plaza de Bolivar, Plaza de los coches and casa del Marques de Valdehoyos, among other
Outside the city walls, the most important places to visit are the San Felipe de Barajas Castle, calle del Arsenal, Fuerte del Pastelillo, La India Catalina, Casa de Rafael Nunez, Ermita de El Cabrero, Candelaria convent and the Old Boots monument. Also, nearby the city there are some fortress such as Bateria del Angel San Rafael, Fuerte San Fernando de Bocachica and Fuerte Bateria de San Jose that helped the Spanish conquerors to defend the city from the English, the French and the pirates.
All the already mentioned attractions are harmoniously combined with beautiful beaches, exotic nearby islands and night life establishments. In terms of beaches and islands you can find them both within the tropical atmosphere of the city or away from civilization and noise.
The main beaches are Bocagrande, El Laguito, La Boquilla, Castillogrande, Marbella and Playa Blanca. The most relevant islands are Islas del Rosario, with crystal and multicolor water perfect for snorkeling and scuba diving Isla de Baru with white sandy beaches, crystal water, mangles, and multicolor corals Archipielago de San Bernardo and Isla de Tierra Bomba.
Night life in Cartagena is very exciting and full of bars, restaurants, cafes, casinos and clubs. The recommended zones of the city to find the best night life are El Corralito de Piedra, Calle del Arsenal and Bocagrande. Another thing that can be done at night time is to have a Paseo en Coche or simply take a walk in the old city to enjoy its romantic atmosphere.
Tourist can also practice many sports including of course nautical ones. A visit to the aquarium, the botanic garden and ecological tourism are other activities that can be done in Cartagena and that might take more than a day.
Besides from being the most important tourist destination in the Colombian Caribbean coast it is one of the most important business, meetings and conventions centers of the entire Caribbean.
For obvious reasons Cartagena is the first tourist destination of Colombia for both national and international tourists.

The Top Benefits of A Treadclimber

Like treadmills and elliptical machines, even the cross country ski exercise machine and the stair climber, the TreadClimber is designed to give you an effective cardio workout. But what makes it different from these other machines and how effective is it, really?
Three Movements In One
The TreadClimber is actually a treadmill, stair climber, and elliptical machine combined. This means you walk forward, much like as you would on a treadmill, while you step up, much as you would on a stair climber and you combine these two actions, using the machine's dual platforms that rise separately to meet each of your steps, into a smooth, low-pact motion similar to an elliptical. The result of these combined activities is a more effective workout.
Burn Calories Faster
Because your motion naturally engages your body's largest muscle groups, you benefit by burning calories at an increased rate. In fact, you'll burn the same number of calories in about half the time it would take if you worked out on a treadmill at the same speed and resistance levels. This means, even at lower speeds, the TreadClimber will burn calories faster.
And we all know our time is limited. There are only so many hours in a week. Making the most of your workout time leaves more time for other activitie
Flexibility
How about if you'd like a change of pace for your workout? With a few minor adjustments, you can actually use the TreadClimber as either a stair climber or a treadmill. Shut off the power, select your hydraulic intensity setting (anywhere from 1-12) and you've got a stair climber. Lock the two treadles together, switch on the power, and you've got a treadmill on a 10% incline.
Resistance Levels
Most exercise equipment will offer you a variety of resistance levels. The TreadClimber offers you twelve different resistance levels, so you can start out easy and move up to a more intense workout as your muscles grow stronger. In addition, you can set the speed. The range begins at a comfortable 0.5 mph and extends all the way up to 4.5 mph.
A session on the TreadClimber is an honest-to-goodness workout. You don't work up a sweat and burn calories by coasting. But it's settings do afford the luxury of starting at a level that fits your comfort zone and gradually increasing the intensity of your workout over time.
Ease of Use
While the motion of the machine is smooth, it's important to note that it's only smooth after you've had a chance to get used to it. It requires a level of concentration on your gait and balance before the motion will begin to feel natural and the workout completely effective. It may require several sessions before you gain the confidence of your gait that you no longer give it any additional thought.
If you're looking for the quickest, most effective way to burn calories while giving your heart the exercise it needs, the TreadClimber is well worth investigating. However, it's not for those looking for an easy workout with miraculous results. You won't have to participate in long sessions, but you will have to put your body through the paces.

Piano Playing Secrets Of The Pros

It's no secret that professional piano players use techniques that amateur piano players don't. So what else is new? Professional golfers use techniques that amateur golfers don't use (at least not very well), and pro ball players use techniques that sandlot and weekend athletes don't use -- or again, not very well.
So it's not surprising that professional piano players have some tricks up their sleeves that the rest of us mortals don't have. But that doesn't mean we can't try to emulate the great pianists. We may not pull it off as well as them, but we sure can have a lot of fun trying, and who knows? Maybe a few of us can actually learn these techniques well enough to win some admiration from our friends, join a group, play for our own enjoyment, or whatever.
Here is a list of just a few of the technique the pros use when they play piano. There are more, of course, but this is a pretty good estimate of the most important skills
Pro Secret 1 Straddles. Leaving one of more notes out of a chord to create an open feeling.
2 2/1 & 3/1 Breakups. Breaking a chord up by playing part of the chord & then the rest of the chord.
3 Waterfall Chords. Broken chords cascading down from the top of the keyboard similar to a waterfall.
4 Tremolo-Fired Runs. Rapid-fire runs made of chords, but starting with a tremolo.
5 Half-Step Slides. Approaching the next chord from 1/2 step above or below.
6 Suspensions. Using the 4th as a "hangover" instead of the 3rd.
7 Chord Substitutions. Harmonizing songs using different chords than the traditional one
8 Voicing in 4ths. Stacking chords in intervals of 4ths instead of 3rd
9 Turn-Arounds. A chord progression that turns you around, like a cul-de-sac.
10 Introductions. Creating a front door for the song.
11 Endings. Creating a back door for the song.
12 Transposing. Playing a song in a key different than it was written in.
13 Modulating. Getting from key to key smoothly.
14 Altering a Melody to Create a New Melody. Using neighboring tones to craft a new tune.
15 Inversions. Instead of always playing chords in root position, using a variety of "upside down" chord
16 Creating Original Chord Progressions. Linking chords together creatively.
17 Echoes - Rhythmic, Melodic, Harmonic. The easiest way to begin the arranging proces
18 Touch. The difference between a sledge hammer and a pillow.
19 II7 to V7 Progression. One of the most common chord progression
20 Latin-American Rhythms. Using various rhythm patterns such as Samba, Bossa Nova, Cha Cha, etc.
There are other techniques the pros use, and new techniques are always being invented. But for a list of worthy goals for an aspiring piano player, this list will keep us busy for a long time.

What Is Formmail And How Does It Work?

If you need to add an HTML form to your website, then you are going to need a PHP file commonly known as Formmail, which processes the HTML form and sends the results to you via email. Before using formmail, you need to understand how it works and what you need to do before installing it on your website.
To create a Formmail file, you can either write the PHP code yourself (which is impossible unless you are experienced), or you can download the code from one of the many sites that have made the code available. After you download it, you will need to modify the code in order to adapt it to the form you have created.
The first challenge you will face is changing the code, if need be, so that it automatically checks to make sure that all required fields from your form have been completed. Some versions of Formmail automatically include this code, some do not. If it does not include this code, you will need to hire a programmer to create it, or ask someone on a programming message board to help you with it.
The next challenge you will face is writing the code that will create the email message containing the answers to the form and send it to the email address you specified in the code for your HTML form. This is extremely difficult to do if you are not familiar with PHP. Again, you will need the help of a programmer if you can not do it.
Also, you will need to make sure that included, somewhere in the code, is protection against spammers who will try to send spam through your form by altering the recipient field. To prevent this, you need to create a variable in the Formmail file that authorizes only the email address you are using as the recipient. For example, if you have set up your form so that the results will be sent to your Yahoo email account, then you need to insert some code into the Formmail file that prevents the form from being submitted unless your Yahoo email account is the recipient. If you do not this, people will be able to send spam right through your form, which brings us to another important point.
Because it is possible to send spam through a form if the Formmail file is not created properly and does not authorize only one email address as the recipient, a few web hosting companies do not allow their customers to run forms on their sites. Or, they use their own PHP files to process your form, which gives you less flexibility. The better web hosting companies all allow forms and allow you to create your own formmail file to process your HTML form. The better web hosting companies also have extensive firewall protection built into their servers to prevent spam if a form is vulnerable.
I hope this information will help you set up Formmail on your website to process your HTML form. Call your hosting company and ask them if they currently have your site hosted on a server that can process forms. If they do not allow their customers to process forms or have certain rules that restrict your flexibility, you should switch to a better hosting provider that will allow you to use Formmail.

Trust And Obey Part Three

Joshua was excited and eager to show God his desire to complete the task of conquering the Promised Land. He sent some men to spy out the land of Ai. The commanders, full of enthusiasm over their battle at Jericho, recommended that they send only two or three thousand men. He agreed and the army left.
The men began their attack with confidence and determination to clear the land for Israel, but soon in utter shock they were forced to retreat. Thirty-six of the men died and in fear Joshua fell prostrate before the tent of the presence of God.
Joshua 7 10-12, "The Lord said to Joshua, 'Get up! Why are you lying on the ground like this? Israel has sinned! They have broken the agreement with me that I ordered them to keep. They have taken some of the things condemned to destruction. They stole them, lied about it, and put them with their own things. This is why the Israelites cannot stand against their enemies. They retreat from them because they themselves have now been condemned to destruction! I will not stay with you any longer unless you destroy the things you were ordered not to take!'"
Joshua immediately took action and discovered that Achan had taken a pound of gold, five pounds of silver and a beautiful Babylonian cloak. In sheer terror Joshua commanded the people to at once stone Achan, his entire family and to burn their possessions and the things that he took.
Joshua's knowledge of the book of the Law and how sin can come in and stop God's help taught him to take immediate action against Achan. His understanding of the Spirit world and how it interacts with our world helped him to see that without God's protection they could never succeed in their quest to conquer the Promised Land.
Joshua 1 7&8, "Just be determined, be confident and make sure that you obey the whole Law that my servant Moses gave you. Do not neglect any part of it and you will succeed wherever you go. Be sure the book of the Law is always read in your worship. Study it day and night, and make sure you obey everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful."
Joshua once again became determined and confident ready to do whatever was necessary to do the will of God, even if it meant killing his own brothers. He committed his ways to instructing and teaching the Israelites in the Law so they would be able to succeed with God's help.
During the entire time I was fighting for custody of my children, Tori had successfully held onto Brad. Her ex-husband had admitted to abusing their son and was found guilty of child abuse.
Tori and I both had gained strength from God's supernatural messages and were determined to follow them and stand up to anyone who got in our way. However the Southern Baptist Church were forever flooding the court system with letters of disapproval over our being in love and gay.
Finally the Judge understanding it was an election year gave into their demands and turned over soul custody of our children to Eric with me being given visitation only if their dad wanted me to see them. My attorney explained that it would take at least two years before they would allow me to overturn this verdict.
Once again God sent Tori and I a message to run with our kids and to not give into the verdict of the evil judge. In obedience to His will and trusting that God knew our best course of action we fled to another state. The police caught up with us two months later and we were put in jail.
Now everything had changed, Tori's ex-husband had recently married and now with our being in jail, he took this opportunity to come after custody of Brad. Tori's grandparents bailed her out of jail and immediately she retained a lawyer so she could fight for Brad.
I was left in jail and mad at the predicament we were in. I had lost custody of my children, now Tori was about to lose custody of Brad. Prison was looming over both our heads for defying the court order and all I had done was trusted and obeyed God.
God's message flowed like the fragrant breathe of spring giving me strength to trust Him and the power to believe that He had a plan. "Dear Linda, I love you. I am so proud of you. Look back and see what you have learned. My Ways Are Not Human Ways, Trust in Me. Pray for protection from Satan, God has Spoken."
Here I was in jail, my children had been turned over to their father, and all God would say was "Trust in Me"! I took a deep breathe and blew out the air trying to clear my thoughts. Slowly I began to wrap my mind around what God was teaching me. I opened my Bible began to read.
Romans 8 35-39, "Who, then, can separate us from the love of Christ? Can trouble do it, or hardship or persecution or hunger or poverty or danger or death? As the scripture says,
'For your sake we are in danger of death at all times we are treated like sheep that are going to be slaughtered.'
No, in all these things we have complete victory through him who loved us! For I am certain that nothing can separate us from his love neither death nor life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers or powers, neither the world above nor the world below-there is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord."
Once again God directed me towards the unseen spiritual world. A Supernatural world of Spirits that infiltrate the mind of men and pits them against each other in a battle over God and love against Satan and hate. A dimension unseen but very real in the minds and hearts of those who play in this huge muti-faceted world game of life.
I held tightly to God believing that He loved me and He would fix the mess that Tori and I were in. I understood that I was fighting against more than people, I was fighting against a Spirit world.
Joshua was commanded to be determined and confident, yet he was stunned when they lost 36 good men because of Achan's sin. They believed they were on the side of God, but their lost let them see how easily they could be destroyed by the evil side of the unseen spiritual world if they didn't follow God's commands completely.

Career Opportunities Come Through Building Rapport

Truth is, you aren't going to get very far with building your career success, if you're grumbling and muttering about your lot all the time. Do this and you will likely as not fail. Take action steps of your own and there's a much better chance of succes
People like to be with people that make them feel good and, frankly, no one enjoys a whiner. Boosting your career success can be as simple as building rapport with others you meet, even if you might not think they can influence the way your career develop
What's more, it's a far better sort of person to be!
These ideas show how you can do this quickly, consistently and well-
1. Greet people like you really are glad to see them. And even if you don't particularly like someone, get over it, there's a bigger challenge out there than petty dislike
Making the other person feel like you're glad to see them can open up a lot of opportunitie
The rewards of career success may not be noticeable at first, but hang in there, this is an investment that can pay out in days, weeks or even years!
2. Show a real and keen interest in the other person and what they are about. Everyone likes to talk about themselves, so ask an open question that gets the other person talking. "How are you?", is a good place to start.
Ask a question that will start conversation - one where the answer isn't going to be yes, or no.
Each time the conversation lags, you can spark things by asking another open question, to keep them talking about themselves, which is the way they get to like you!.
3. Watch for opportunities. When you're networking with someone or just having a talk, watch for those moments where you can either offer your services or mention that you'd like some help. Career success often comes from offers or requests just like these.
4. If a person asks YOU what you've been doing lately, tell them you've been working on making some changes and bettering your life. This is a great opportunity.
Having built rapport by being interested in them, it becomes OK to ask the other person for some help or guidance.
People like to feel their opinion is valuable and they'll be more than willing to share expertise or opinion.
Actually people feel valued when they can help someone else - so be sure to take them up on it when they offer help.
5. Be specific and, ask for contacts or a phone number. Request help getting in touch with someone you feel will help advance your career.
Tell people your plans for moving up the career success ladder and maybe even a few of your next steps - and then let the conversation close with a warm parting and even the offer to meet up again.
That's right don't be too pushy. A nice, comfortable conversation that gets you a little bit closer to your career success goals is best. Don't push too hard, keep it just right.
Building rapport can happen in moment, but usually doesn't happen overnight. Networking with others can take some time. Soon, though, you'll notice more people gravitating towards you.
You may be asked for advice or your opinion. You may find that you're consulted on more important projects. You didn't change much just the way you talked to other people.
Isn't it worth a few changes to boost your career success?

Beyond Positive Thinking

As a personal development coach, I do a lot of talking about positive thinking, and I know very well how important it is in changing your habitual way of thinking (and the results you are getting in life). But real change requires more than positive thinking. It requires "extreme repetition."
I've spoken before about going 'beyond positive thinking" and many people have emailed to ask about the best methods of staying in a positive state of mind, and how they can best help the process along.
One method that is very effective is to use affirmation programs that shift your state of mind and provide you with massive amounts of positive suggestion and commands. These definitely make a difference--I've used one for over ywo years now with great result
The two most popular of these programs are Mindzoom, and Affirmware's Sculptor 3, both of which are great programs (I personally use Sculptor 3, but Mindzoom has it's fans too).
The real benefit of these programs is that they provide you with a relentless repetition of the "right" messages. The key word in that last sentence is "repetition," because that's what it's all about--relentless repetition.
Imagine being exposed to positive, affirming messages one day a week, and then back to the same of negative stuff the rest of the week. How much good is that really going to do you? Probably not much. Of course, it is better than nothing, but you're certainly not going to get the dramatic results you want.
Now imagine being exposed to positive, affirming messages six days a week, and the old negative crap only one day a week. Do you think your state of mind is going to be much, much better? Do you think your self-esteem and confidence would increase substantially? I guarantee you it will. "Repetition is the mother of all skill,"as the old saying goes. And it is just as true wityh posotve thinking as it is with riding a bike.
"What we are exposed to on a consistent basis is what we become."
Ever wonder why most criminals come out of prison worse than when they went in? Think about what they are exposed to on a consistent basis. It's common sense really whatever you are are exposed to with extreme repetition WILL influence your life. The more repetition, the more influence it will have on you.
Take advantage of any and all positive information you can software programs, positive books, audios, seminars, and of course, be around as many positive people as you can.
Remember, extreme repetition is how people change. Use every resource you can to get the "right ideas" into your head, and then repeat them relentlessly. If you use affirmations, repeat those relentlessly too. At a certain point, all this positive information will overwhelm your old, critical voice, and it'll fade away into the sunset.

Music Theory & Harmony: The Key To Understanding How Music Works!

It's a sad fact that most people, including piano players, regard music theory and harmony as some abstract concept that has very little to do with the songs they play on their pianos. Nothing could be further from the truth. Knowing music theory and harmony is the key to opening a whole new world of exciting insights into the songs we play, and enable us to do things on the piano we never dreamed we could do, to say nothing of enjoying the process a hundred times more.
What is music theory, and how can I benefit?
Here are just a few of the wonderful skills and insights a person benefits from by learning music theory
How notation works -- a huge advantage in sight-reading.
The hierarchy of rhythm -- solving rhythm problems before they begin.
All kinds of scales -- the "ladders of notes" every song is composed of. Major scales, 3 types of minor scales, chromatic scales, whole tone scales, modal scale
How transposition and modulation works -- playing songs in different keys, and getting from one key to another smoothly.
Complex time signatures, and what they tell you.
Perfect, major & minor intervals -- helps ear training greatly.
Two-part and four-part harmony.
Figured bass such as IV, V7, ii6, I6/4, etc. and how it relates to chord symbols such as Fm7, F6, Dmaj7, etc.
Harmonizing melodies with all these chord
Open & close voicing, inversions, secondary chords, form, cadences, non-harmonic tones, arranging for voices, arranging for brass, arranging for strings, transposing instruments, key relationships and many other exciting insights into the inner workings of music!
But what is harmony?
Harmony is a sub-set of music theory. It is a series of notes in combination, played simultaneously. Listen to your favorite songs, and pay close attention to the back-up vocals when they're being sung along with the lead. Can you hear how the two vocal melodies differ in pitch? That's harmony, and it's highly possible that those back-up vocalists were chosen because of their strong ability to harmonize.
Singing a harmony, or rather picking one out on your own without written sheet music, is an almost inherent musical skill that many singers would die to possess. But harmony isn't just the province of singers it's found in every single area of music. Any time a sound is layered on top of another sound and those sounds match each other in rhythm and melody (but not pitch), a harmony is created.
Harmony is made of intervals, and as such, it can be considered dissonant (scratchy, uncomfortable, like playing an E and an F at the same time) or consonant (pleasing or smooth). What makes a harmony pleasing or unpleasing, however, is extremely relative. In medieval times, only octaves and perfect fifths were considered harmonious, and any harmony that deviated from that was generally frowned upon. In modern western music, though, nearly everything is considered to be harmonious by someone. Fifths are still very popular in modern harmony but are now used in the most unlikely of places heavy metal music, for example, frequently uses perfect fifths in the vocal harmony to create an eerie effect when layered on top of the more dissonant instrumentation.
Harmony, in addition to being consonant or dissonant, can also be subordinate or coordinate. Subordinate harmony, the tonal harmony used most frequently today, is a series of harmonies that are based on each other. The harmony moves in such a way that a resolution is somewhat predictable you can hear this type of harmony in modern pop music, musical parts that flow very easily into each other and don't leave the listener baffled as to the turn the song has taken. On the other hand, coordinate harmony is a series of harmonies that operate independently of each other. They do have some common relation, of course, but don't typically move toward a goal, or predictable resolution. Renaissance musicians often used this type of harmony, and it's capable of producing rich and moving textures within a piece of music.
Learning music theory and harmony is not just an option you can take or leave it is part and parcel of the "stuff of music". No surgeon would ever say "I don't want to learn all that stuff about the nervous system & the skeletal system and blood vessels and how the lungs and heart works and all that stuff -- I just want to operate".
And yet the majority of piano players ignore the very thing that would take them to the next level in their playing and knowledge -- music theory & harmony.

4 Modern Ways to Meet Interesting Women

Unless you've lived in a cave, then you've probably noticed the singles scene has changed A LOT over the past couple of years. In fact, there has been a sudden explosion of new and interesting ways to meet women.
For instance, in the past you had to leave your house to meet a woman. But now you can use technology to contact hundreds of interesting women while sitting in a room. In essence, you can use the power of your computer to literally shop for a woman.
As a result, the late 2000's has ushered in an era where meeting and dating women can conveniently fit into ANY guy's schedule. In this article, I'll outline 4 ways you can use modern technology and trends to locate women in your area.
Let's get started...
1- Online Dating
I'll be honest when I say online dating has become THE way to meet women. In fact, it has become a socially acceptable way to meet women. According to a recent survey, 70% of singles in America have tried online dating at one point in their live
So you're missing out on a golden opportunity if you DON'T use online dating to meet women.
Now the important thing to remember about online dating is it favors guys who are proactive. In other words, you have to make an effort to contact and follow-up with women on these websites.
Since there is a lot competition from other guys on online dating sites, you have to do everything you can to stand out from the crowd.
2- Speed Dating
Speed dating has become a really popular way for busy people to meet.
It works like this...
An organization or business arranges an equal number of men and women to meet and privately talk with another for 7-8 minutes. Then when the time is up, you move on and start talking with another girl.
Then once the event is over, you evaluate each woman and decide if you want to meet her again. If she decides the same thing about you, the organization will give you each other's contact information.
The object of speed dating is to allow you to have multiple conversations with a large selection of women and quickly determine which ones you want to date.
If you want to take advantage of this type of dating, you have to ensure you make a great first impression with every woman you meet. So you have to learn how to be confident, funny and interesting.
3- Social Networks
Social networking is a trend which has gained a lot of popularity during the past few years. With these type of sites, you "make friends" with people and connect with others you already know.
What I like about social networking sites is you're able to talk to a woman without being giving off the *desperate* stigma like you would have with an online dating site.
Because these sites are free and filled with lonely guys, you have to stand out from the crowd. In other words, your initial message must be really interesting and unique compared to the emails that OTHER guys send.
4- Seminars
As our society progresses it's become important to expand on our personal and professional knowledge. That's why seminars have become a really popular way to learn in a fun and interesting environment.
In addition to the intellectual benefits, you can also use this place to network and meet women. What's great about seminars is they provide an opportunity for you to talk to a woman who shares a common interest with you. You can easily use this environment to start talking about a topic in which you both find riveting.
All you have to do some research and you could easily find seminars in your area. For instance there are always opportunities to learn about topics like self-improvement, home decoration, finances, nutrition and other special interests.
Now the important thing to remember when meeting ANY woman over these 4 methods is to still use proper conversation skills and seduction techniques. In other words, technology and advances hasn't changed basic human nature...
It's still important to know the right way to date and attract women.
But if you can add these 4 methods to your dating arsenal, you'll be able to develop a large pool of interesting and attractive women you can date!

Preparation For Selling In Real Situation!

Selling skills is one of the essential skills to be mastered if I want to achieve financial freedom based on my understanding of the Rich Dad's Series by Robert Kiyosaki. Thus, I have begun my quest to master selling skills by reading books, listening to audio clips and attending seminars on selling. After a while, I realize that it is not possible to learn selling skills purely by reading books, listening to audio clips and attending seminars. I can know all the techniques but I do not really know how to apply them naturally in life.
How can I go about learning selling skills? Of course the answer is to practice and practice. But exactly how much practice is required? After talking to a few successful sales people, I learn that an average person needs to do about 200 times in real life situations before he can master selling skills to a certain extent. But to rush out and do it in real life situations can be quite scary. Thus, I feel that certain preparations must be done before practicing in real life situation
Firstly, I will practice in front of a mirror or videotape myself while I am doing presentation. By watching myself during presentation, I will be able to spot weakness that can be improved on during presentation.
For example, I may have a bad habit of not standing upright during presentation. This will affect the image that I am projecting to the audience. Basically, I will like to project a professional image. This will help me in closing sales later because the audience feels that they are dealing with someone professional.
Secondly, I will find a willing partner to practice on. It will be even better if I can find someone who is willing to learn about selling skills. This is because we can regularly practice with each other.
During practice, the party acting as the potential client or prospect should try to be as realistic as possible. He should be creative in asking different questions regarding the products or services that I am offering. He should also be creative in giving objections to why he is not willing to take up the products and services. Thus, each practice session will be the different. At the end of each practice session, we should give feedbacks to each other. And maybe discuss about how to overcome certain difficulties that we have faced.
Thirdly, I will learn from different successful salespersons by modeling after them. That means I need to get to know them so that they will share their experience. If that is difficult, the other way is to act as a potential buyer and observe how they do their selling.
For example, if I want to be a successful realtor, then I may keep visiting different property exhibitions and act as a potential buyer. In the process, I interact with other property agents. If I feel happy after leaving the exhibition without buying anything, then I know that the property agent who has serviced me is doing something right. That thing is what I will like to incorporate into my selling skills. When a prospect feel happy due to my service, he is likely to buy from me if he decides to do so. Also, he may refer his friends to me even though he does not buy anything from me.
But if I feel upset after leaving the exhibition without buying anything, then I know that the property agent has done something incorrect. That thing is what I will like to avoid in my selling skills. An unhappy prospect may spread something negative thing about my professional service and thus affect my sales.
Next, I must have confidence in the products or services that I am offering. If I am not convinced about using the products or services myself, then it is difficult for me to convince others to buy into my services or products. How to gain confidence? Be a product of the products or services that I am offering.
For example, if I am marketing e-learning subscription package that allows learning from world-class gurus via online video seminars, then I should be using the subscription package myself. I should learn and apply what I have learned through these seminars in life. As a result, I will become a better person. When people see that I have changed for the better due to these seminars, they will be keen to subscribe to these same online video seminars. In other words, I have become a product or a live example of someone who has benefited from the e-learning subscription package.
With the above preparations, I believe that I am better equipped to do it in the real life situations. Practicing in the real world is the key to master selling skills as highlighted in the Rich Dad's series by Robert Kiyosaki. After each real situation, I will ask myself what can I improve on. In this way, I will be able to master selling skill
